Summary
AudioVerse is looking to hire an administrative assistant on a half-time basis who is organized, driven, flexible, tech-savvy, and passionate about the Adventist message and mission. The work will mostly be at the office located in Apison, TN, but there will be travel throughout the year to various events. This person will help coordinate special projects, maintain the ministry offices and equipment, managing online store inventory and order fulfillment, assisting with social media and marketing projects, coordinating events and meetings, contributing to media editing on occasion, and pitching in with various departments as needed.
Hours & Pay
- Flexible 20 hours per week initially, with the potential for more.
- $15.86-16.68 per hour starting, depending on experience.
- Can begin as soon as the beginning of June 2018.
Description and Duties
- Large portion of the duties involve research, planning, and carrying out special projects throughout the year.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of office.
- Manage ministry equipment inventory, preparation for events and recordings.
- Assist with inventory management and order fulfillment of online store.
- Assist in the social media presence of the ministry with content creation and correspondence.
- Assist with media editing and data-entry as needed.
- Organize meetings and take minutes.
- Writing, copyediting, and some basic layouts for marketing materials.
- Occasional travel to events to record or promote ministry.
- Assists as needed across various facets of the ministry to ensure smooth operations.
- Works most closely with the Executive Director, Operations Director, and Communications Director.
Qualifications
- Must have a strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, self-directed, flexible, and hard working.
- Must have strong technology skills and ability to figure things out quickly and independently.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus, but any of the following languages would be a blessing: Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Chinese, or Japanese.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, social media, web browsers.
- Would be nice to know basic web design, Adobe Creative Suite, and some audio/video editing.
- Ability to travel several times a year.
- Must reside in the Chattanooga, TN area.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
