How the Three Angel’s Message Works

You know, I was reading, and we are told that men can only be thankful, or they are only capable of appreciating as much as they are capable of receiving.

In other words, God reveals himself to us each day the most that he can.

It's not that, you know, yesterday He revealed Himself just a little bit, and today He reveals Himself more.

He reveals Himself the same every single day.

The only thing that changes is our capacity to receive it.

And so that is what we are going to pray for this morning as we look at some scriptures.

And so I invite you to Bow your heads with me as we have a word of prayer.

Dear Father, we thank you for another Sabbath day that you have given us, and for preserving our lives thus far.

And this morning we ask that you would increase our capacity to receive truth, that we would avail the resources that providence has already bestowed, and that even more we would avail the resources that the spiritual blessings that the Holy Spirit is about to give.

And so we pray for that spiritual discernment.

We ask Lord that we would be put in a position where we would see the Son more clearly, that your Son may be to us the joy that we can't even describe.

And so we ask, Lord, as we think about these things, as we look at these scriptures, that it would not just be a series of text, a dead letter, but Father, that these words that we look at would be Words of life.

We ask all these things and we pray for the forgiveness of sins in Jesus' name.

If you'll turn with me in your Bibles to Revelation 10, what we're gonna be doing is we're going to be building a foundation this morning.

We're gonna go through a few texts, a few passages, to establish a foundation of how this third angel's message works.

Revelation 10, we're going to be looking in particular in verse 7.

My left won't have any trouble, my right might.

Revelation chapter 10 verse 7, the Bible says here, but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, When he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." Revelation chapter 10, as many of you know, is connected, is talking about the early Advent movement.

And we see in this chapter that connected with this early Advent movement, it says here that the mystery of God should be finished.

And it even connects the mystery of God being finished with, it says here, but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished.

And we know, some of you know in Revelation 11, that seventh angel begins to sound in 1844.

So now we see here that this mystery of God, whatever that is, is connected with this early advent movement.

Let's go to another text just to establish some more foundation in Colossians chapter 1.

We can go to many, to this morning's purpose.

We're actually going to be starting in verse 25.

Colossians chapter 1, verse 25 to verse 27.

Paul is speaking, he says, whereof I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you to fulfill the word of God.

Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, But now is made manifest to His who?

It says here, to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the, the next word is, Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Now let's write a few terms up on the blackboard, okay?

So we have here, what we're considering this morning is this mystery of God.

And we see that this mystery of God, Paul is speaking in Colossians chapter 1 and he says, I have this mystery and it is to be given, and you said it, to the saints, which is to be given to the Gentiles.

And in verse 27 it said, this mystery of God is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Now I'm just going to let you know that the result of this mystery of God being preached, the result of the saints receiving this mystery of God and giving it to the Gentiles, the end result is a second coming.

Because we are told in, we don't have to turn there, but in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 51, 52, it says, Paul is speaking, he says, "'Behold, I show you a mystery.

"'We shall not all sleep, we shall be changed, "'in the twinkling of an eye, ' this kind of thing." And he goes on to describe glorification, the second coming.

So the result of this going forth, this mystery of God, this Christ in you, whatever that means is a second coming.

So this thing that we're talking about this morning is important.

Now the plot thickens because in Revelation 14, let's turn there as we continue to establish a foundation for how this third angel's message works.

In Revelation 14, and let's read verse 6 through verse 12.

The Bible says, and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come.

And worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city because she hath made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the lamb.

Goes on to say, and the smoke of their torment ascended up forever and ever, and they have no rest day nor night who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." Now these 3 angels, did you know that these 3 angels are God's last messages to human beings?

And we will see there will be a people that receive these messages, that live them out, and they are described in Revelation chapter 14 verse 12, the very next verse.

It says, here is the patience of the who.

Now that's very interesting because Paul uses the same words to describe those who give this mystery of God to the Gentiles.

It says here, It goes on to describe these saints.

Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith and have faith in Jesus.

So these saints, whoever they are, they are the ones who have received the 3 angels' messages, they rightly divide the 3 angels' messages and apply them to their lives.

Did you know that there's only 1 group of people on the top side of this earth who understand the 3 angels' messages and can rightly divide them?

Brothers and sisters, it's a Seventh-day Adventist.

There's no other group of people that understand these 3 angels, the last messages from God to human beings.

And so these saints that Paul is talking about in our day, these people here described in Revelation 14 verse 12, Seventh-day Adventist.

Now a Gentile, okay, a Gentile we know in Bible times is simply just anyone that is not a Jew or you know these other nations.

And Gentiles you know there were many that didn't have a regard for God But even you and I can think of examples of where the Gentiles, they loved God.

The woman at the well, wasn't she a Gentile?

There are many examples of Gentiles that believed in God, these different nations.

But we would just say today that they are simply different denominations.

Now, it goes on to say here, let's go to the book of Philippians as we continue to establish our foundation.

Because the seventh-day Adventist, did you know that you're not normal?

And I don't mean to say that to be funny.

You are part of a message that when it is preached, second coming is the result.

The Bible says here, yea, doubtless, and Paul is speaking, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ.
