Last Generation Victorious

Thank you once again that you want to be with us, we invite you to be with us and to fill us with your Holy Spirit.

Give us understanding, give us knowledge and more grace into our lives.

Pray that you may speak through me and that you may speak to all our hearts and that we may let you change us through your grace in Jesus name amen.

Okay so we call this presentation the last generation victorious because we know from the prophecy, we know from the Word of God, at 1 point in history, there is going to be 1 last generation.

And The book of Revelation is describing this special group and it's different, it's different group than we have seen earlier.

And there are several reasons why this group will be special.

You can come to Revelation chapter 14, Revelation 14.

I'm gonna look at some of the beginning verses there.

We have read some of them already, but now we'll break them down a little bit more.

So, Revelation 14, verse 1, we will start in.

Then I looked, and behold, a lamb standing on the mount of Zion, and with him 144, 000, having his father's name written on their foreheads.

Why do they have the father's name written in their forehands?

So God's people will reflect God's character in this group.

If you look at some names, we have been looking at Michael, which means what?

Michael means who is like God, who is like God.

So the name is quite revealing something important.

And Jesus, if you look more deeper into his name, it conveys the idea that God will deliver his people.

Verse 2, and I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder, and I heard a sound of harpists playing their harps." So you see as when God is talking sometimes it sounds like a thunder, we saw that revealing, signifying his glory.

And verse 3 says, "'They sang as it were a new song before the throne, "'before the 4 living creatures and the elders, "'and no 1 could learn that song except the 144, 000 who were redeemed from the earth.

So these are the 1 we have been talking about.

They have a special experience that no 1 has ever had on this earth.

They're going to go through 7 last plagues.

They're gonna have a time of Jacob's trouble through this time.

They were the ones that they have been facing popes and priests and persecution and the 4 winds got loose and during the climax of the last battle of the earth, they have been without an intercessor.

So they have an experience like no 1 else has had.

These are the ones who are not defiled with woman, for they are virgins.

These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.

These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

So when it says, it's talking about they were, so clearly how they were before they came to heaven, because they're describing them here as if they were in heaven, but then they say they were, they were this, they were that.

So they weren't defiled by woman, as we discovered, it's representing an unclean woman, corrupted woman is a corrupted church, a fallen church and they were not defiled they decided to follow the Lamb and come out of Babylon, they decided to join God's remnant and follow the Lamb, whithersoever he goes.

So they had a pure faith, they had a pure faith, contrary to those that were defiled by the woman.

They are, that's why they're called virgins.

Verse 5, and in their mouth was, again was, describing them, how they were, their condition, in their mouth was found no guile, for they were are without fault before the throne of God.

So the same was described about Christ, No deceit was found in the mouth of him, Isaiah 53, 9.

And the word without fault is used regarding Jesus, that he was without fault in 1 Peter 1, 19.

They're gonna have the Father's name written in the foreheads.

They're gonna have a character in the end that again is reflecting God finally.

Now can we move to Hebrews chapter 11 verse 5 Hebrews 11 verse 5 could someone read that please Hebrews 11 verse 5 okay Talika Wow he had this testimony that he pleased God.

The last generation will have this testimony that they please God.

The Spirit of Prophecy tells us in the Patriarchs and Prophets page 88, page 88, she says, in the midst of a world by its iniquity doomed to destruction Enoch lived a life of such close communion with God that he was not permitted to fall under the power of death.

So Enoch is representing these 144, 000 because they too will not suffer death.

So here we have the type for the 144, 000.

She continues, The godly character of this prophet represents a state of holiness which must be attained by those who shall be redeemed from the earth.

At the time of Christ's second advent, then as in the world before the flood, iniquity will prevail.

Following the promptings of their corrupt hearts and the teachings of a deceptive philosophy, men will rebel against the authority of heaven, but like Enoch, God's people will seek for purity of heart and conformity to his will until they shall reflect the likeness of Christ.

So like Enoch, they will warn the world of the Lord's second coming and on the judgments to be visited upon transgression and by their holy conversation and example they will condemn the sins of the ungodly.

So you see we have a type here for the last generation that will also warn the people, they will seek purity and God is going to transform their character and they will not be permitted to fall under the power of death, just like Enoch.

So they will live in such a close communion with God, as Enoch was in the midst of a world full of iniquity.

I mean, it's just gonna get worse from now on.

So it appears they will have all the reasons to break God's law, as we talked about yesterday, but they will not.

They will show to the universe, they will silence Satan's accusations against God.

Revelation 12, 17, and the dragon was wroth with a woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keeps the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14.12 also saying something similar.

Here's the patience of the saints here today that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.

Now, We talked about the mystery of God and it says, what was it saying in Colossians 1, 1 of the clearer descriptions of the mystery of God, Colossians 1 verse 27, remember?

And Ephesians 5, 27, as we read last class, that he might present it to himself, a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy and without blemish and Peter also talks about this in 2nd Peter 3 14 where for beloved seeing that you look for such things Be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless.

So, there is no doubt that there have been Gali people up through history that, you know, have been really reflecting Gali such as Enoch and he got his reward as a type for what will happen to those who will not die on Earth.

But there's going to be a whole generation now, whole generation of a whole group of these people that will go through this special time in Earth's history without spot being blameless as we read.

In Great Controversy, page 425, it says, those who are living upon the Earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above, are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator.

Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling.

Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort, they must be conquerors in the battle with evil.

While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin among us people upon the earth.

This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14.

So these people are going to stand righteous before God.

Their robes have been cleansed, their characters have been purified.

Yeah, so we can say for God's people to be in the right relationship with God.

It sounds simple, but through God's grace, He will do it.

But of course, it is not possible for us in our own efforts, our own works to become righteous.

So let's make sure that we let God do it.

Romans chapter 4, verse 6, let's go there.

Okay, so God imputes righteousness without works.
