The Godhead- Part 1

What a blessed privilege to be here with each and every 1 of you.

Someone asked, how long has it been since you've been in Ohio?

I said, well, it was just, I guess a few months ago, wasn't it, honey?

Last year we spent a whole month, Wasn't it?

Did an evangelistic series there, wonderful folks and people, and I'll tell you, God really blessed.

So we are quite familiar, and I've been to Ohio, quite a few different places over the years.

I've always enjoyed God's people in Ohio.

So if you're an Ohioan or maybe Indiana or Illinois, whatever you are, God loves you, we love you.

We're glad to be here and be able to share this weekend with you.

We are a believer that Jesus is soon to come.

We are a believer in the Bible and the spirit of prophecy.

Alright, because if anybody is sleeping, I'll come out and I will get you.

We must realize the hour in which we live that Jesus is coming.

That means studying the word like never before.

And on the issue that we were asked to present this issue, and it's okay, because we need to know because there's a lot of misunderstanding not only in the world but in Adventism and Really, we should be together Adventist folks need to be together on what is truth There need not be any division separation and all these minor points and people carrying on and we need to be united together to finish the work so Jesus can come.

So every truth in the Bible is important, isn't it?

The Bible, every word that proceeds, what?

So don't say, well, this is not important.

If it's in here, it's important, every word of it.

So we were asked to spend some time on the Godhead issue.

Now if you'll just kind of allow me, I hope this is all right because you know I like to speak plain, Is that okay to do that?

You know, I always said I'm a visitor here.

You have to love me regardless of what I say and do.

You wanna go to heaven, we have to love each other.

But you know, I don't like the word Trinity.

You might like it, it's okay, I don't like it.

But again, we use the term loosely, sometimes we don't even know what it means when we say it, we just talk about it, we sing about it.

And so as we talk about the Godhead, certainly we'll be talking about God.

We're gonna be talking about Jesus, gonna be talking about the Holy Spirit.

You have your Bibles, I want you to turn quickly because I was just this just came just a little while ago just before we we left the Lord impressed my mind and he said you know this passage here tells where we're at in the History of this world And it's familiar passage of scripture found in the book of Hosea.

This fits in the hour that we are living.

It fits maybe in and among and around us, and it maybe it shouldn't, but I want you to hear the word of the Lord.

Many are familiar, I'm sure, with verse 6, but I'm gonna read verses 1, 2, and 6.

Read the whole chapter if you want, when you have time.

Today we're gonna focus on the issue of the Godhead, but I want you to just see how this baby, this has a bearing on your life, my life, and the world that we live in.

The Bible says, hear the word of the Lord, ye children of who?

Of Israel, for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is, uh-oh, notice this, there's no what?

There's no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Does anybody, does that sound like today?

They don't know how to, find out what the difference is or how we can know what truth is when we find truth is in the word of God.

But hear, the word of the Lord said, hear it.

And that's not only for the world, This is for you and this is for me, I'm sure.

Notice what it says, verse 2, by swearing and lying and killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break out and blood touches what?

Blood, and then verse 6 says, my people are destroyed, you know this for what?

We are, my people, he said, Whose people?

I've often said this and I'm just not trying to hurt anyone, but it might wake some of us up to the point.

Sometimes people will come and I'm the believer.

This is all good, but we need not lean any weight on spiritual strength.

We get, because somebody will say, they'll come and introduce us, I am a fourth and fifth generation, seventh day Adventist.

But sometime, and maybe didn't mean anything by it, but we need to think sometime, because we have belonged, Because we are a part of, therefore we have this 1 way ticket.

So the word of the Lord's coming to us has said we're destroyed because we have a lack of what?

Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I also reject thee.

So the subjects you'll be hearing in this camp meeting is either truth or it's error.

And you have to determine it by the word of God, not how you think, not how you were raised or what side of the tracks that you were raised on.

But by the word of God, if it is truth, rejoice in it.

If it steps on your toes, rejoice on it anyway.

God speaking to you and to me prepares for heaven.

Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

You know, those are heavy, heavy language there and certainly many probably could preach on that for several days.

I want you to realize how the Bible is relevant today, how it speaks to us today.

God wants us to read it and say, oh yes, this pertains to His people.

He said, we reject knowledge, we reject what is truth, we reject Jesus Christ and the message He has for this church, He's gonna reject us, Regardless of you say, well, I belong.

We look in scripture, we find 3 times in scripture, we find, and we'll go, the word Godhead, the word Godhead is used.

And we'll discuss that a little bit later on in 3 places It's found and so on and so forth, but you know, I think we're living in a time We're living in a day.

We're living in a where everything that can be shaken because I've read it many times Everything that can be shaken what come on church will be shaken if you're not If you're not fastened down you will be what?

You'll be shaken out and I think God's calling a people today to be fastened in because the shaking has, or we know, has commenced.
