Star Wars Crusade, Part 1: The Rebellion

Oh, man, you guys can't talk out there, huh?

Before we begin, I'd like to open with a word of prayer, so would you bow your heads with me, please Heavenly Father?

We're so thankful for the The gift you have given us We thank you that the world is in your hands Lord while all around us seems to be going out of control, we know Lord that in the end you will bring everything to the way it should be.

Father, tonight as we open your word, I pray that you would give us understanding.

Heavenly Father, we know tonight that even in this place, there is a war that is going to begin father there are both good and evil angels that are wrestling over every soul Please Lord may your angels be victorious.

Welcome to Revelations Star Wars and for those of you who have seen the movie I'm sure the title caught your attention but we are not going to be showing Star Wars tonight.

We are going to be opening up the Word of God and seeing what it has to say to us.

I'm trying to move all these papers that are up here off of the stand.

When I was, this is back in New York City, probably about, I don't know, I was maybe 17, 18.

I was walking in a mall 1 day with my friends And I saw a group of people standing by, standing in front of a picture.

And they were all looking at this picture and their eyes were just, I mean, they were going ooh and ah, and I'm looking at these people and then I take a look at this picture and all I see is a bunch of zigzag lines.

And I said to myself what in the world are these crazy people ooing and ah-ing about?

And someone that was standing next to me said, hey listen, you've got to focus your eyes on this picture because it's the most incredible thing and I'm going the most incredible thing it's a bunch of zigzag lines and they're saying no no no look at it so I look I stand there begin to look and I'm feeling really foolish and I'm looking and I'm going you know what are these people doing and then you say listen you got to do this little thing with your eyes and when you do that little thing the picture is going to jump out at you so there I am for minutes trying to look at this thing and all of a sudden I don't know what I did with my eyes, but the picture became a 3D, that which I could not make sense of, all of a sudden became this beautiful 3D image.

And then someone came up and you know was looking at me like you know these people are crazy and I had to go on and explain hey look you got to do this little thing with your eyes and I began to try to explain this is what you need to do.

How many of you have ever read the Bible and thought that it looked like a bunch of zigzag lines?

I want to share with you tonight that what we are going to do, what the Lord is going to do for us tonight is he's gonna make his word very, very plain.

You will be owing and owing by God's grace, amen?

There is a lot going on in the world today.

We look at a lot of events, and people are wondering what in the world is going on.

I mean, the attention, what's happening in the world is grabbing the attention of even skeptics, even people who don't believe in the Bible are stopping and saying something is going on here, something is different about the time we're living in.

We know that after September 11th we literally moved into another phase of history.

It was almost like a dividing line between history on September 11th.

We are now living in a different world and people are looking for answers.

And I wanna share with you that, brothers and sisters, I Believe that the answers that we are looking for are found in the Word of God.

I believe that the answers we are looking for are found.

Jesus himself himself gives us the answer and I want to share with you right up front why I believe that the Bible has the answers, why I believe that Jesus is the only 1, the only 1 that has the answers.

Now, there are a lot of religions out there.

There is Hinduism, and Buddhism, and Islam.

And sometimes people wonder, well, what makes Christianity, what makes the Bible different from any other book?

I want to share with you that before I became a Christian, I studied with the Nation of Islam, I studied with a lot of different religions, and there was something in each 1 of them that just made me say, you know, I'm not so certain about that.

I was on my way to the top of the world as a hip-hop artist.

How many of you know what hip-hop is anyway?

How many of you know what dreadlocks are?

I was thinking about bringing a picture and showing.

So I was on my way to the top and when I was introduced to the Bible, I was not brought up a Christian, when I was introduced to the Bible, the things that I saw there blew my mind.

And blew my mind so much that after studying and studying I gave up an 8 album contract with EMI records for $800, 000.

Now mind you I dropped out of college to get this record deal.

My brother and 2 best friends and we got this record deal.

Yes, we're about to be on top of the world.

Got into the music industry, began recording our first album.

And in the middle of recording our first album, we began to, we were introduced to the book of Revelation.

And at first, we began to use it as a tool to put in our music.

We had no clue what we were talking about.

It would be kind of cool to put something spiritual in our music.

But as we began to read this book, and as we began to inquire and ask the Lord, Lord, what are these things talking about?

And as they began to become plain to us, brothers and sisters, the conviction was so powerful that I knew that I could not continue on in that way.

I want to say tonight that there was a star war over my life and God is now using me not as a star of the world but in a different way and let me tell you that this seminar has a lot to do you're gonna discover God's role for you in this seminar so we're not just going to be learning about prophecies and what's going to happen in the end times but we're gonna learn about how God feels about each 1 of you.

Let me share with you some of the things that convicted me that the Bible was a different book.

If you return in your Bibles to the book of John, let me tell you I have a very formidable task tonight's message is entitled the rebellion the rebellion I have a very formidable task of explaining to you in a limited amount of time events that have taken at least 6, 000 years to transpire.

Tonight's message is going to be an overview, okay?

It's going to be an overview of everything we're going to talk about.

It's going to be an overview of what we might call the controversy between Christ and Satan.

We're going to go to heaven before the earth was created.

We're going to see what took place there.

We're going to see how the controversy came down to earth and we're going to see how it ends.

I want you to notice something that Jesus says here.

Don't mind that 3 there, John 3, it's John 13 verse 19.

Jesus says something that sets him aside from every other person claiming to be a Messiah or God.

Notice John 3 verse 19 it says, Now I tell you, this is Jesus speaking, Now I tell you what, before it Comes to pass or before it come that when it has come to pass you may believe that I am He.

He says what sets me aside, what sets the Bible aside from every other book, from every other so-called Messiah, from every other religion is that I will tell you things before they come to pass so that when they come to pass you will know that I am He.

Star Wars Crusade, Part 2: The Empire Strikes Back

Why don't we bow our heads for a word of prayer and we will jump right into the message for this evening.

Heavenly Father, we are so thankful for your love for us.

We are so thankful Lord that you came to die that we might have life.

Heavenly Father ask now that as angels gather on this ground, that as a war begins even now, Lord, that your angels would be victories.

Lord, that hearts may be, may make decisions, Lord, to be fully under your throne.

There is, there has been an increase over the last couple of years in prophecy, the interest in prophecy.

People want to know what is going to happen to planet Earth.

My microphone seems to be doing something Weird.

Our subject tonight, that's not the subject tonight, our subject tonight is the striking of the empires.

If you would open your Bibles to the book of Daniel.

The question we're going to answer tonight, we're actually going to answer 2 questions, but I'm going to present the first question to you, which is this, what does the future hold for planet earth?

How many of you would like to find the answer to that question?

I mean, we're hearing threats about nuclear war and the world, you know, the world being frozen over and all different kinds of things.

What does the Bible have to say about our planet's future?

That's what we're gonna talk about tonight.

And to do that, we're gonna go to the book of Daniel.

Now, how many of you are familiar with the book of Daniel?

All right, how many of you have ever read through the book of Daniel?

How many of you have been confused by the book of Daniel?

Okay, I'm gonna give you a very simple principle that's gonna help you.

It's gonna just make things so simple you'll just think it can't be true.

But here's the principle that I want to give to you and then we're gonna see this principle in action tonight.

The principle is this, here's the name of the principle, nothing new only more detail.

All right, say that with me, nothing new only more detail.

The entire book of Daniel works on this principle.

The first prophecy of the book of Daniel is found in Daniel chapter 2.

And in that chapter, we're going to be looking at that chapter tonight, But after that chapter, after Daniel chapter 2, the rest of the prophecies in the book of Daniel are nothing new, only more detail.

What that means is this, if you rightly understand Daniel chapter 2 guess what you have the key to understand every other prophetic chapter of Daniel does that make sense it's like taking a photo Wow it's like taking a photo and then zooming in in your next shot and zooming in in the shot after that all you're doing is you're coming up closer and you're seeing more detail being revealed and that is how the book of Daniel is written.

The book of Revelation is written in the very same way.

The very first prophecy gives us the broad picture and everything after that simply gives us More detail.

And Daniel chapter 2 is gonna answer this question for us.

What does the future hold for planet Earth?

Now, in Daniel chapter 2, beginning with verse 1.

Beginning with verse 1, just to give you a little background, this chapter begins with a king by the name of Nebuchadnezzar.

How many of you have ever heard of Nebuchadnezzar?

All right, Nebuchadnezzar was the king of an ancient Empire by the name of Babylon.

Babylon has just taken the children of Israel into captivity and Daniel is 1 of those Israelites who is now under the is now a slave basically in the kingdom of Babylon.

Daniel chapter 2 verse 2 verse 1 rather begins, in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams wherewith his spirit was troubled and his sleep broke from him.

So Nebuchadnezzar has a dream and he's very troubled.

Verse 2 says, Then the king commanded to call the magicians and who else?

The sorcerers and the Chaldeans for to sue the king his dream so they came and stood before the king so King Nebuchadnezzar has his dream he's troubled he calls let's pause for a moment This time that we've wasted doesn't count.

Okay, Daniel 2, again, Nebuchadnezzar is standing before, has his dream, he calls in his magicians, his astrologers, his psychics, all these people who are supposed to be able to tell him his dream.

Verse 3 says, and the king said unto them, I've had a dream, or I've dreamed a dream and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.

He dreamed the dream, the dream troubled him but he doesn't know what the dream was.

So the Bible goes on to say in verse 4 then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriac saying, O king, live forever, tell thy servants the dream and we will show the interpretation now Nebuchadnezzar just told them that he doesn't what know the dream so notice what the king answers verse 5 the king answered and said to the Chaldeans the thing is gone from me and if you will not make known unto me the dream with the interpretation Ye shall be cut in pieces and your houses shall be made a dunghill So now Nebuchadnezzar is pretty mad because his psychics and his astrologers who are supposed to know the had to get a new 1 of these because I was totally blind.

The future don't know what Nebuchadnezzar dreamed.

So it goes on to say in verse 7, then they answered and said again, let the king tell his servants a dream, and we will make up, I mean, shoo thee, the interpretation of it.

And the king answered and said, I know of a certainty that you would gain the time because you see the thing is gone for me in other words Nebuchadnezzar realizes now that these psychics and astrologers don't really have the power that they claim that they have verse 10 the Chaldeans answered before the king and said there is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter therefore there is no king nor Lord nor ruler that ask any such thing at any magician or astrologer or Chaldean.

And it is a rare thing, verse 11, that the king requireth, seeing there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, in whose dwelling is not with flesh." Brothers and sisters, I want to let you know tonight that psychics do not have the answer to this question.

Astrologers do not have the answer to this question.

It is amazing, You know, psychics and astrologers, the Bible tells us, are a counterfeit of God's prophets.

And you'll notice that psychics and astrologers today, what do they prophesy about?

You're going to meet a very lovely man sometime in your lifetime.

Now, brothers and sisters, that, I don't call that prophecy.

I mean, anybody can pull that out the hat.

God here is revealing, the Bible here is revealing something.

He is setting aside the difference between that which is false and that which is true.

None of these prophets, or psychics rather, can answer the question.

Notice verse 12, For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel happens to be included in that decree.

It says in verse 13, and the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.

Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Ariok, the king, the captain of the Kings guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon.

He answered and said to Ariok, the king's captain, why is the decree so hasty from the king?

Then Ariok made the thing known to Daniel.

Now I'm not going to read through this whole story because I want to get down to the prophecy.

Daniel basically says to Ariac, listen, give me 1 night.

I'm going to go back and I'm going to inquire of who?

The God of heaven and I'll have an answer for King Nebuchadnezzar by tomorrow." Brethren and sisters, Daniel goes, Daniel and his 3 friends, Azariah, Mishael, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that's who you know them by.

And He goes and he prays that night and the Bible says that God reveals to him the King's dream.

In fact, let me share this with you first before we go there.

Listen to what God says in Isaiah 41 verses 22 and 23.

This is God's challenge to all the other gods.

We're talking about the God of the Quran, the God of Hinduism, the God of all these other religions.

Let them bring them forth and show us what shall happen.

Let them show the former things what they be that we may consider them and know the latter end of them or declare us for declare us things for to what?

Star Wars Crusade, Part 3: Escape from the Dark Empire

Why don't we bow our heads for a word of prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for your love for us.

We thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die for us and we thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit which guides us into all truth.

Father may we not resist the spirit Lord but be led by the Spirit Tonight as we go through your work Help us father to this end we pray in Jesus name.

Escape from the dark Empire Escape from the dark Empire now.

I just want to warn you ahead of time that there is a quiz coming up.

There is a quiz coming up so I want you to be paying very close attention especially as we get into these first few slides.

Now we have been discussing the sanctuary subject for the last couple of nights and again I want to let everyone know those of you who it's your first night here It gets difficult to continue to recap so I'm not gonna recap as I did last night But the tapes are behind our back in the foyer and they are available I also want to encourage you that how many of you take notes here?

All right pretty good pretty good I was going to encourage you to do that and brothers and sisters you need to do that because you need to check Everything out that I say amen Amen, So it's good to have you in your pens and paper because we are going to be having a short quiz in a little while.

I'd like to start off by explaining to you a very significant day in the Hebrew year or the Jewish year in the Old Testament.

There were several ceremonial feasts in the Jewish year and 1 of these feasts was perhaps the most awesome feast.

This was a very special day but in order to understand this day we're going to take a look at what the sanctuary, the purpose the sanctuary served during the entire Jewish year.

Now God told Moses, let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.

And this sanctuary served a particular purpose.

We're just gonna be looking at a couple of pictures here.

Just, you don't have to come up here, I just need your name.

We're going to give her another name for right now, just to make things a little bit easier beautiful name I like the ring of that Aranga is that was that all right we're gonna give her the name of let's see Jessica how's that sound that's nice and simple Jessica okay Jessica is a Hebrew living in the time of the wilderness and Jessica has a problem she just did something that wasn't very nice and nobody knows about it but she wants forgiveness so Jessica gets 1 of her favorite little lambs, that's what she has to do in order to get forgiveness.

Jessica gets her little lamb and gives it to dad and she tells dad, you know, I did something I need forgiveness for and maybe dad gets it out of her we don't know but anyway dad comes to the sanctuary with that lamb and dad has to do something that's that would seem to be just really cruel dad has to take a knife and slit that lamb's throat.

Once the the throat of the lamb is slit, let me go back a little bit, dad actually has to put his hands upon the head of that lamb.

And when he puts his hands upon the head of that lamb.

And when he puts his hands upon the head of that lamb, he begins to confess his sins and the sins of his family.

So once these sins are transferred, who is now the guilty party?

Once this lamb has become the guilty party, then dad was to take a knife and slit the lamb, the throat of the lamb, and the blood would just come out, and he would have to catch that blood in that bowl.

The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is what?

But God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.

So, brothers and sisters, that lamb symbolized who?

When we confess our sins, we get to go free.

Now, once this was done, that blood was taken into the sanctuary.

I don't have my good pointer on me today.

I don't know what I did with it, but just bear with me.

The priest would take that blood into the, into the, or up to the altar of sacrifice, that's what that was called, and he would sprinkle blood upon that altar.

Now what was happening, watch what's happening here.

The sin begins, dad confesses the sin of his family, he confesses it over the head of the lamb.

Now the lamb's throat is cut and the blood comes out.

The priest takes that sin or that blood up to the altar of sacrifice and what does he do?

He sprinkles it on the, or he puts it on the altar of sacrifice.

What is happening to the sanctuary day by day is that the blood which contains the sin or the record of sin is being placed upon the what?

So now there is a record of sins found where?

Now for some people the priest would take the blood all the way into the tent he wouldn't sprinkle it upon the altar but he would take it into the tent if it was a king or another priest, he would take it into the tent, into the holy place, and he would sprinkle the blood upon the veil or before the altar of incense.

So here you had 2 records, 1 on the altar of sacrifice and 1 on the altar of incense.

People would come, they would take their animals, they would confess their sins and day after day blood is piling up so to speak on these altars.

Now the people went away forgiven of their sins they were totally free but there was still a what a A record of sins in the sanctuary.

Now on the day of atonement, this was the day that the high priest, the only day in the Jewish year that the high priest could go into what was called the most holy place this was called the day of atonement 1 day out of the year the priest could go into this the holy place every day of the year but only 1 day of the year did he go into the most holy place.

This was known among the Jewish people as a day of judgment.

On this day, the priest went into the holy place and he would sprinkle blood upon the Ark of the Covenant upon which there were the 2 covering angels called what?

Now this day was so awesome because on this day God's glory descended into the holy place and the high priest would go in and the the Jews would actually tie a rope around the high priest's leg and he would go in and he would have bells upon him and if he was not clean of all sins guess what happened when he stepped into the presence of God he died and if they heard that the bells had stopped moving they knew that the priest was not clean wow and they would just pull the priest out because they couldn't go in.

So this was a very, this was a heart-trembling day, brothers and sisters.

Well, let me give you a little illustration here.

This day of atonement is the day that the sanctuary was to be cleansed you can read that Leviticus 16 the sanctuary was to be cleansed on this day cleansed from what let me ask you cleansed from the record of sins so every day the altar sacrifice there's a bird's-eye view of the sanctuary the altar sacrifice had blood put on it the altar of incense had blood put on it, but 1 day out of the year, the day of atonement, which was Towards the end of the year, the high priest on that day went into the most holy place to sprinkle blood upon the Ark of the Covenant, in which the law had been broken, because sin is transgression of the law, the law of self-sacrificing love.

Let me see if I can explain to you like this.

Every day we put out, we throw garbage into our garbage pails in the kitchen, right?

Every day you dump garbage, milk boxes or whatever it is, you dump the garbage in there.

And every day you probably take that garbage out and put it where?

Is your kitchen clean once you put the garbage in that garbage pail?
