Description
The discussion on how to characterize radical Islamic terrorists took an interesting twist when Pope Francis depicted them as fundamentalists. This term used to refer exclusively to American Protestants who insisted on the inerrancy of the Bible. Today fundamentalism is being portrayed as a threat, but it is our duty, as far as possible, to disarm this prejudice.
