Loving Father in heaven, we thank you for life.

We thank you, dear God, for the eternal truths in your Word, truths that sanctify and make us free.

Give us now the mind of Jesus, a mind that loves truth.

Father, bless everyone under the sound of your manservant's voice.

Help me to speak boldly, but also with compassion.

Father, at the end of this message, let all the glory accumulate on your name.

In Jesus' name, let God's people say, amen and amen.

And Jesus came and speak unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Teach all nations, keep reading, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Teach all nations, keep reading, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

Now finish that verse, teaching them to do what?

Observe, Keep reading, all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

We call this the great gospel commission.

This great gospel commission expressed in Matthew 28, 18 to 20 has at its center instruction in the law of God.

Now a lot of people like to talk about grace, and I love grace.

They do not understand that the giving of the law is 1 of the greatest expressions of grace.

Many of you will go forward to do service for God for however long you decide, but you need to understand what should be the burden of my message.

What should I open the eyes of the people to see?

And what people need to see, regardless of the economic status, is that your problem is sin.

If you go to the doctor, and he examines you, and he finds spots on your lungs.

He sees a pack of cigarettes in your pocket.

He will not say change your brand of cigarette.

If he cares about you And the oath he took to do no harm, he or she will say, stop smoking.

You go to the doctor, he or she smells alcohol on your breath and sees your back pocket bulging with a bottle of unused alcohol you were keeping it for after the doctor's visit.

And he sees the early signs of cirrhosis after careful examination and running tests.

You don't need to go to Bible school for that.

And so Matthew 4, 17 tell us, from that time Jesus began to preach and to say, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 3 from verse 1, in those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

When Peter preached, Acts 2 38, then Peter said unto them, Repent.

Acts chapter 20, verse 20 and 21, And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you and have taught you publicly and from house to house repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The apostle Paul again, Acts 17 verse 30, at the time of this ignorance God winked at but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent In other words stop Repent now, why am I saying all of that?

Let us go to Exodus 32 Quickly Exodus 32, we'll read from verse 1.

We'll read from the King James version of the Bible.

The Bible says, and when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron and said, up make us gods which shall go before us.

For as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt we what not what is become of him and Aaron said unto them break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives of your sons and of your daughters and bring them unto me And all the people break off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and gave them unto Aaron.

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a grieving tool, after he had made it a molten calf.

And they said, they meaning the leaders along with Aaron, these be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Verse 5, and when Aaron saw it, he built an altar unto it.

And Aaron made proclamation and said, tomorrow is a feast unto the Lord.

And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar unto it.

And Aaron, who's the high priest, made proclamation and said, Tomorrow is a feast unto the Lord.

And they rose up early on the morrow and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings.

And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go get thee down, for thy people which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them.

They have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, these be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

The Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people.

Now therefore, verse 10, let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them and that I may consume them and I will make of thee a great nation God was ready to destroy the entire Israelite nation.

Verse 11 Then Moses besought the Lord his God and said, Lord why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people which thou has brought forth out of the land of Egypt.

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak and say, for mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them off the face of the earth?

Turn from thy face wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people Moses tells God don't do that to your people then he gives God a reason that God could not resist which is what he said in a verse 12 wherefore see Egyptians speak and say why give the Egyptians reason to laugh at you?

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, To whom thou swearest by thine own self and saidest unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven.

And all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed and they shall inherit it forever.

And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Why did God intend to destroy his chosen people?

The Bible says in Verse 4, and Aaron received them of the hand and fashioned it with a graving tool after he had made it a golden calf.

Aaron, with help I'm quite sure, made an image.

What they had seen in Egypt, because Egyptians worshipped a cow, They made a little cow.
