Lift up the trumpet and loud let it ring, Jesus is coming again.

Cheer up you pilgrims, be joyful and sing, Jesus is coming again.

This is the voice of prophecy, a voice crying in the wilderness of these modern days.

Now thank we all our God with heart and hand and voices.

Who wondrous things hath done, in whom his world rejoices.

Who from our mother's arms hath blessed us on our way, with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.

All praise and thanks to God, the Father now be given, The Son and Him who reigns with them in highest heaven.

The 1 eternal God, whom heaven and earth adore, for thus it was, is now, And shall be evermore.

Our Father in Heaven, we pray especially today for all Christian mothers.

Remember all mothers today and everyone who listens to this broadcast in Jesus name.

The heart of God, a place where sin cannot molest, near to the heart of God.

O Jesus, blessed Redeemer, sent from the heart of God, hold us who bow before Thee, near to the heart of God.

Let me walk close to Thee, Just a closer walk with Thee.

Great is Jesus, if you see, if you please, Daily walking close to Thee.

Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

When my feeble life is o'er, Time for me will be no more.

When the voice of man and nature seem to pause in quiet prayer, Then among the many whispers that the coming shadows bring, shadows bring.

When other helpers, Still and comforts flee.

Here now is HMS Richards, the Voice of Prophecy speaker, in a special tribute to praying mothers.

For many years, the mother of Tom Carter prayed that God would save her boy and make a preacher out of him.

He was sent to prison, but his mother still prayed for him.

She believed God would answer her prayers.

In her heart, she seemed to have the witness of the Spirit to that effect.

1 day, she received a telegram from the prison saying that Tom was dead.

Then she went away to her room alone and knelt by her bed with her open Bible before her.

She said, Lord, I believe Thy promises that Thou hast given me in Thy Word.

I believe that I would live to see Tom saved and preaching the Gospel of Thy Grace.

Which is true, this telegram or Thy Word?

She arose from her knees, sent a wire to the prison.

Not long after this, he found salvation in Christ.

When he was released from prison, he became a mighty preacher and soul winner for Christ.

Praying mothers—good, earnest, consecrated praying mothers—how wonderful they are, how much the world needs them.

Fortunate indeed is the boy or girl who has a praying mother.

1 day in a little country town of southern Iowa, an eighteen-month-old baby boy slipped out of the door while his mother was busy in the kitchen.

He began to eat the green apples that had fallen from the tree in the yard.

Why is it that babies like green apples and other things that aren't good for them?

He ate them fast and he ate all he could to make a wonderful day of it.

In a few short hours, he was a very sick baby boy.

So sick, the doctor told the mother he couldn't live.

She knelt down and gave this boy to God for his service.

She promised the Lord that if he would save his life, she would rear him to be a servant, a minister of Christ and his gospel.

That baby did live, in spite of everything, grew up to preach the gospel of Christ.

His mother still lives and prays for his ministry every day.

I know this to be true, for I was that baby, and Mother has prayed for me every day of my life.

How wonderful it is to have a praying mother.

When the Heavenly Father brought His Son into the world, He gave Him a praying mother, the Blessed Virgin.

When she found that she was to be a mother, she prayed, and we have that prayer recorded in the first chapter of Luke's Gospel.

She said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

For he hath regarded the lowest state of his handmaiden, for behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.' and so they do to this very hour.

When he was invited to a marriage supper in Cana of Galilee, she was invited too, for the Scripture says the mother of Jesus was there, John 2.1.

1 day as he preached to a vast multitude of people, someone came up to him and said, Behold thy mother, Matthew 12, 47.

It's well for us who love the Lord and have Christian mothers, praying mothers, to think of them often.

Billy Sunday used to tell of a minister who was making calls in the homes of the people.

He came to a certain house, asked for the mother, but the child who had opened the door said, You can't see Mother now because she prays from 9 to 10 every morning.

This preacher willingly waited forty-five minutes to see a mother who had her regular hour of prayer every day.

When she came out of her place of prayer, the light of glory was on her face.

He knew why it was that that home was so bright.

He knew why she had 2 sons in the Gospel ministry and 1 daughter, a foreign missionary.

Sunday used to say, All hell cannot tear a boy or girl away from a praying mother.

Think of Susanna Wesley, what a mother she was, with 17 children to look after.

She spent 1 hour every day, shut up alone with God in her room, praying for those children.
