How to Identify Your Lifework

We will go over today, basically what it means to succeed in this category or this topic.

So my class is called true success And I want to begin with you because that's where it all begins I Don't know how much you thought about starting a ministry business before but when you're first called to God to do his work, what, do you know exactly what you're supposed to do?

Everyone understands that you're supposed to preach the gospel, teach the gospel, maybe do some healing, but besides that nobody really knows or understands exactly what they're supposed to do and I think that's a problem and that's something that I've been struggling with many years.

I've been in the full-time ministry for 8 years now, and from the beginning all the way to maybe 2 years ago, I just went where God told me to go and did what he told me to do, but I didn't know anything beyond that.

You see, God does not want you to be in uncertainty without a reason, right?

So he has a reason why he called you out.

He has a reason why he has given you life.

He has a reason why He has given you life.

He has a reason why He has presented the truth to you.

And even some of you are born into the Seventh-day Adventist Church for a reason.

So when it comes to actually starting something for God, an industry or ministry, we have to understand why you're doing it, okay, and what we're supposed to do exactly.

I want to show you that when it comes to the secular businesses, now these people spend a lot of money, time and experience in trying to succeed in this life.

But according to statistics, about 50% of new businesses fail within the first year.

So if we look at it here, if everyone here were to start a ministry or business or some kind of institution, 50% of us will automatically fail within the first year.

And you have to think about this, where they spend a lot of time learning how to succeed.

You know, those who start businesses don't just say, oh, I'm just gonna do it because it's gonna be fun.

Or, I'm just gonna do it, I think it's gonna make money.

They think about it, they plan it out, they learn, but even them, they fail 50%.

And I don't know the exact statistics on ministries.

I hear a lot of ministries come and go, sadly, but we don't have any numbers for that.

It is not easy for us to start something new.

Now, 1 of the biggest reasons, now this is according to a lot of the success magazines or business magazines.

Or Entrepreneur, Business Insider, all these different types of magazines or media.

According to them, 1 of the biggest reasons why business fail is, before I say it, I want to ask you.

But 1 of the biggest reasons is actually because of the leader, the decisions that the leaders make.

Whether poor management in the team, picking the wrong team and not really leading them right or making the wrong decisions financially, but it all comes down to whoever is running the show.

So I want you to understand that this leader is what either holds things together and make the institution succeed or because of this leader, everything's going to break apart.

And there's a pro and a con, because if the leader is doing the right thing, then it's more likely it will succeed, right?

But if it's doing the wrong thing, then it's not going to succeed.

So when it comes to leadership, I want to ask you about Nehemiah.

You see, Nehemiah is a special person in the Bible who has been known as this great leader to accomplish a great work when a lot of others could not.

Now do you know how long it took Lehi and Maia to build the wall?

How long does it take for us with all this modern technology to build a building or build, we could say a wall, even a small maybe house?

And what's more astonishing, how long do you think they've been working on the wall?

How long do you think they've been working on them?

So basically the third decree that Azariah received was 13 years before.

Okay, that's 13 years before Nehemiah went.

On top of that, the second degree when the temple was actually finished was 515 BC.

So if you calculate from 515 BC around that time all the way to when the walls were built that's 444 BC how much is left?

Okay, well come on math this is basic plus minus.

I'm trying to make you guys think because we're going to go deeper into how you guys have to think.

That's how much power God can give the right person with the right mind, right characteristics, right understanding.

It says here, there is need of Nehemiah's in the church today, not men who can pray and preach only.

We see a lot of them who pray and preach.

But it says, but men whose prayers and sermons are braced with firm and eager purpose.

The success attending the Yema's efforts shows what prayer, faith, and wise energetic action will accomplish." You see, here Sister White added a few more things.

So, here Sister White added a few more things.

Not just prayer, but it says, wise energetic action.

Okay, hopefully that does not happen again.

It says here, Living faith will prompt to energetic action.

The spirit manifested by the leader will be, to a great extent, reflected by the people." Who is it reflected to?
