Preparing for the Latter Rain: The Judgment Hour Message

Prepare To Meet Your God

Father in heaven, I believe with all of my heart that you long to communicate with us your people.

You want to make plain your words in such a way that we will not merely be hearers, but we will also be doers of your word.

And so, Father, we know that this can't be done by might or natural power.

It can only be done through the power of your Holy Spirit.

And so in a very special way, we ask for his presence.

You promised us that the same way that a child knows how to go to their earthly father and to ask for many things, and that father with joy may give it, how much more you, our heavenly Father, will give the Holy Spirit to them that ask.

And so Lord, because of this, we not only ask for your Spirit, we thank you for sending Him.

I want to invite you to turn your Bibles to the book of Leviticus, chapter 26.

And these were words of warning that God gave to his people.

And the problem is that sometimes God's people, Even though they seem to hear, they're slow to follow and to obey.

And I want you to see what the Bible says.

We're going to consider, as you see on the screen, verses 14 to 24.

And because there's so many verses, I'll read verse 14, you do 15, I'll do 16, you do 17, we'll just keep it going.

So let's go to the book of Leviticus 26, and if you're there, please let me know by saying amen.

The Bible says in the book of Leviticus, the 26th chapter, starting at that 14th verse, in fact, I like verse 13, Let's pick it up from there.

I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their bondmen.

And I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you go upright.

Now question real quick, how much of the commandments did he want him to do?

Verse 15, and if he shall despise my statutes or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all thy commandments, but that ye break my covenant, And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies.

They that hate you shall reign over you, and ye shall flee when none pursue with you.

And I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heaven as iron and your earth as brass.

And your spirit shall be stiff and vain, for your hand shall not heal your increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

And if you walk contrary unto me and will not hearken unto me, I will bring 7 times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number, and your highways shall be desolate.

And if ye will not be reformed by me, by these things, but will walk contrary unto me, what was God communicating in these verses?

Think back all the way to verse 13, and then what we get down to verse 24.

He was encouraging them to keep his commandments.

OK, there were some conditions presented, that's for sure.

There would be some punishments or there would be a result for disobedience.

There would be a result for disobedience.

Do you believe that God was speaking very plainly?

God was speaking very plainly, wasn't he?

He said, look, I'm the 1 who delivered you.

I brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Verse 13, he says, listen, I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of?

So I just asked you, who was he talking to?

And Then I said, does that have any application to us?

The world sin now, this is the question I love asking missionaries.

What Bible verse do you have to support that answer?

You get that God did not raise us up to tell people our good well-rehearsed opinions God raised us up that we might point people to his words.

Go to the book of Exodus, chapter 20, that very famous chapter that many, even Seventh-day Adventists, love to read.

The Bible says in the book of Exodus, we're looking at the 20th chapter, and I believe the Bible can help us get just a bit of understanding about Egypt from a spiritual standpoint.

The Bible says in the book of Exodus, chapter 20, and if you're there, please say amen.

In Exodus, the 20th chapter, you will notice that there is an application that we can use to Egypt.

I'm not saying this is the sole spiritual application, but this is certainly 1 of them.

The Bible says in verse 1 and 2, it says in verse 1, and God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which hath brought thee out of the land of?

When you look at John the 8th chapter, there's a very particular word that Jesus uses that I believe connects back to this principle that we're looking at in Exodus 20 as it relates to Egypt.

The Bible says in the book of John, we're going to what chapter?

Now watch what the Bible says in John We're looking at the 8th chapter and we're going to consider verse 32 The Bible says in John chapter 8 in verse 32 if you're there, please say amen the Bible says and you shall know the Truth and the truth will do what the truth will make you free Now look at verse 33.

They answered him, we be Abraham's seed, and we're never in bondage to any man.

Verse 34, and Jesus answered them, verily, verily, I say unto you, whomsoever commiteth what?

What is the bondage that all of us as God's people can relate to?

Have you remembered a time in your life when you were a slave to sin?

Some of you saying, what do you mean past tense, brother?

Some of us are still slaves to sin, even though we come to church.

God wants us to understand that when we read these things in the Old Testament, they're not just a story of past truth.

The Humility of Christ

Our loving Father, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to come together as a family, to study your wonderful words of life, to partake even from the tree of life.

It provides not that which is only temporal, but also that which is eternal.

So Lord, we come before you asking for the forgiveness of our sins.

Father, there's so many people in this room and every single individual has a specific need.

I pray that through our time together in study, that you will fulfill your words and supply all of our needs according to your riches and glory by none other than Christ Jesus.

Lord, while you'll bless my brothers and sisters, I'm sure, I pray please don't pass me by grant me a fresh revelation of your love and I pray that all of us will leave here different than when we came in this is our prayer that we do ask in Jesus name amen Amen.

You know, the focus and the emphasis of our time together this weekend is understanding we are living in the time of the anti-typical day of atonement, a time of judgment, a time where God is zooming in on all who are professing to follow Him, to know Him, and to love Him, and are devoted to Him.

And this is a time where God is looking into your life and into my life, and He's gonna help us see where we are consistent and where we are inconsistent.

And where we are consistent, He will strengthen us.

Where we are inconsistent, He's going to help us see it that we might come to Him, that we might overcome the inconsistency.

The great purpose of God in doing this is that He knows that we're getting towards the end.

I am not sure if you are aware of it, but we are very much living not merely in the end of time, but we're living in the end of the end of time.

We are very paper-thin close, if you will, to finally seeing Christ burst through the clouds of glory and taking his bride home.

But the Bible is very clear that something must be done that we might be able to go home with him.

And I want you to see what the Bible says in the book of Mark.

Go to the book of Mark, the 13th chapter, and I want you to watch what the Bible says here.

We're looking at Mark the 13th chapter and I want you to watch what the text says.

Mark the 13th chapter and I want you to watch this.

We're gonna consider very quickly the great purpose of prophecy.

We are talking right now about this investigative judgment that we're in.

Daniel 8 and verse 14, a text that is very near and dear to the heart of those who are part of the remnant in God's last moments in Earth's history.

And so it is, what really does God want us to do when we think about prophecy?

In Mark the 13th chapter, and when you're there, just please let me know by saying amen.

The Bible says in Mark 13, we're going to consider verse 23.

Jesus was going through many prophetic events.

He was talking about things that were to come.

And as Jesus began to unfold those things, he makes a very simple point in Mark 13 in verse 23.

Behold, I have foretold you all things." Jesus makes it clear, take heed, I want you to do something about it.

The faithful student in God's mind is not the 1 who is merely aware of all the prophetic events.

It might look faithful to a lot of people, but it's not in truth the faithful student.

I'll give it to you in another text to make you think about it a little bit deeper.

When you look at Proverbs the 22nd chapter, I'm sure you can appreciate this verse.

And we're going to just simply talk very practically.

In Proverbs, the 22nd chapter, I want you to watch what the Bible says as we consider verse 3.

The Bible says something Very powerful, very beautiful, and also very practical.

It says in Proverbs 22 and verse 3, if you're there, please say amen.

So the wise man, it says the wise man sees the evil that comes and what does he do?

It says, but the simple, they pass on and they are punished.

Now, I am not wise just because I see the evil coming.

Because when you study Bible prophecy, will you not see a lot of evil that's coming?

Will you not see a lot of evil that's here?

The Bible, unfortunately, has a lot to say about the evils that's going to happen, both last night, I told you, in the world and in the church.

But we're not wise just because we clearly say, I see the evil.

The Bible says, the prudent or the wise man, he sees the evil that's coming, and what does he do?

He takes the appropriate action that he is protected from the evil That's coming.

You see Jesus when he said when you see all these things come in the past, he says the goal is that you take heed, not just simply gloat over the fact you know.

There's no blessing in knowing what's coming if you don't know what to do when it arrives.

And so what God wants for you and what he wants for me, what he wants so desperately for all of his people is not merely to know what's coming.

You heard that statement that pastor said earlier.

It says that we are to awake out of sleep.

For Now is our salvation nearer than when we believed and we're told to put on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The great grand purpose of prophecy, it doesn't matter if it's Daniel 8, 14 in the 2300 days.

It doesn't matter if it's Revelation 13 and it's talking about the mark of the beast.

The first step of God is that we know it and then the second step, which is the most important step, is that you put yourself in harmonious action with what God told you to do, knowing that that thing is coming.

Your safety is what you're doing with what you know, not with what you know.

In John 14, I want you to watch what the Bible says.

John 14, Jesus, the master teacher, he himself makes us aware of the great purpose of prophecy.

And the Bible says in the book of John, we're looking at the 14th chapter, and I want you to watch what the text says as we consider verse 29.

The Bible says in John 14 right there in verse 29, the Bible says, and now I have told you before it come to pass so that when it comes to pass, you might do what?

I told you before it comes to pass so that when it comes to pass, you might Believe.

There's something very special about believing.

The first point I want to show you that's special about believing is go right up to verse 12.

Defining Sin

Our loving Father, we are truly grateful for the privilege and the opportunity now to prepare our hearts to receive the word.

And we know that you have something very important, very specific, and very special to share with us.

And so we pray that you'll please grant us your spirit and truly give us ears to hear.

This is our prayer we do ask in Jesus name.

I want to invite you to turn your Bibles with me to the book of 1 Kings chapter 8.

I want you to watch what the Bible says as we consider 1 Kings chapter 8.

Solomon was doing the dedication for the temple and in the midst of the prayer there were some things that Solomon said that were very interesting and I especially want us to take this to heart as we consider studying, Lord, what really needs to take place with us that we might be prepared to receive the reign, the latter reign, that we may be empowered to finish God's work.

The Bible says in 1 Kings, we're looking at chapter 8.

The Bible says in 1 Kings 8, verse 34, then hear thou in heaven and forgive the what of thy people?

The sin of thy people Israel and bring them again unto the land which thou gave us unto their fathers.

If they pray towards this place and confess thy name and turn from their sin when thou afflictest them then hear thou in heaven and forgive the sin of thy servants and of thy people Israel that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk and give what rain upon thy land which thou has given to thy people for an inheritance." The thing that caused the rain to not fall, the thing that caused the heavens to be shut up, It says it was because God's people were playing with something they should have never played with.

And as long as God's people were continuing to fall into sin, the Bible says there would be no rain.

It was only after there was a confession of sin and there was an experience with God where there was victory over sin, then God was willing to open up the heaven and let the rain fall.

We, spiritually speaking, are waiting for the latter rain.

This is the unadulterated outpouring of God's Holy Spirit.

We're going to need this in order to give what we read in Revelation 18, which is called the loud cry, the mighty cry, to really point out Babylon and all of its deceptive power and force is gonna require an endowment from heaven that is nothing close to natural and only that which is supernatural.

And in order for us to receive that rain, God says there is a prerequisite.

The people must get to a place that they no longer do the thing that has caused heaven to shut up.

Now, I want you to watch this quotation with me very carefully.

I want you to consider it very deeply because I know where everything is going.

God has laid it out to me, son, this is what I want you to cover with the people.

And so as we prepare to go through this, I am asking you please remain in a prayerful state of mind, because we're going to cover a lot.

He brings them up to different points calculated to manifest what is in the heart.

Some endure at 1 point, but fall off at the next.

At every advanced point, the heart is what?

Oh, my brothers and sisters, you need to be praying.

Sometimes we get victory at 1 point, but God promises, I'm going to send another test.

And when that test comes, God is going to test us how?

Notice, it says if the professed people of God find their hearts opposed to this straight work, it should convince them that they have a work to do, to overcome, if they would not be spewed out of the mouth of the Lord.

Said the angel, God will bring his work closer and closer to test and to prove every 1 of his people.

Every single individual in this room, under the sound of my voice, every single individual is going to be tested, not merely tested, we're all going to be tested closer and closer.

Then it says, some are willing to receive 1 point, but when God brings them to another testing point.

They shrink from it and stand back because they find that it strikes directly at some cherished idol.

You know what God is doing in these quotations we're reading thus far?

He's doing what's called a cleansing work.

Unto 2, 300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

But God cannot have a clean sanctuary until he first has a clean people.

According to Leviticus 16 verses 16 to 19, the Bible makes it crystal clear that the only reason that the sanctuary got dirty was because of the transgressions of his people.

And so God cannot have a clean sanctuary until he has a people that stops making it dirty.

And there's only 1 thing that requires cleansing from the sanctuary and that is sin.

And so what we're doing is we're not reading a process that we should fear.

We are reading a process that we should praise Him for.

Earlier today, Brother Michael quoted from John 15.

And I don't know if you saw it when he said in verse 2, Jesus made it clear, I'm the vine, you're the branches.

And then he says, every branch in me that bears not fruit, I take away, but he says, but every branch in me that bears fruit, he says, I purge it.

And the purpose of the purging was so that it might bring forth more fruit.

You can literally look at John 15 in verse 3.

It says, now you are clean through the word which I've given to you.

God actually says every branch in me that's actually bearing fruit, he says I still cleanse it.

Why does he cleanse a tree that's already bearing fruit?

He says because they still got some dirt spots on it and I want more fruit.

And so my brothers and sisters, you need to understand, this is something we can thank God for.

We need to learn how to start praying, oh, Lord, please purge me.

Show me every blot, show me every imperfection.

Because the whole purpose of him doing it is that he can use that precious blood that is the super detergent.

And so when we're reading this, don't be afraid of it.

Thank you, Lord, that you'll test me even closer because you see something valuable in me.

Now notice, it says, there's some cherished idols that are still in our heart.

Then it says, here they have opportunity to see what is in their hearts that shuts out Jesus.

There's some things in our hearts that's shutting out Jesus and we're not even aware of it.

I'm gonna show you today some startling things.

All of this quote comes from Volume 1 of the Testimonies, page 187.

It says, They prize something higher than the truth, and their hearts are not prepared to receive Jesus.
