From Sunday to Sabbath

My message this morning is titled from Sunday to Sabbath.

I'm looking forward to getting into this message, but I want to spend a few moments telling you about a ministry that is changing many lives, and it just might change your life.

It is a ministry that is working in partnership with the revival and Reformation initiatives and it's a ministry that is under the endorsement of the General Conference Revival and Reformation Committee.

The name of this ministry is called 24-7 United Prayer and this ministry was launched in the summer of 2020, a few months after pretty much the whole world went into lockdown.

And the vision of this ministry is to create a chain of earnest praying believers that will encircle the world.

This ministry currently has 24 prayer calls that that run prayer meetings pretty much on a daily basis 24-7.

And in addition to our daily prayer calls, last month in December we launched what is called the Boiler Room.

The Boiler Room is a virtual prayer room that can be accessed by anyone from around the world that is running 24 hours a day.

Now it takes a lot of work to run something like this that's running continuously.

And in the Boiler Room we have 48 half hour sessions of United Prayer taking place.

You may be asking why is it called the Boiler Room?

Well if you visit the website, if you go to 247unitedprayer.org, you could read the explanation there of why we're calling it the Boiler Room.

I'm going to share with you just a handful of testimonies from the Boiler Room.

Actually, before we go there, this is from the website.

The pen of inspiration tells us, humiliation, confession, and most earnest prayer will bring about that which all the devising of men, be they high or low, cannot accomplish.

That's from manuscript releases, volume 11, page 100.

Can you imagine what would happen if there was continual humbling of heart and supplication for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit 24 hours a day, month after month, and year after year?

If you have no idea, you must read the inspiring story of Count Zinzendorf and the Moravian Prayer Movement.

I hope you will visit the website and check out this story, which is 1 of the greatest in church history.

Count Zinzendorf and the Moravians, they launched the first Protestant 24-7 prayer movement and their story was the inspiration for this ministry and for the Boiler Room.

Now I want to share with you just a few testimonies that have come out of the boiler room.

Every time I join, I am immensely blessed.

The Holy Spirit moves my heart to pray in a way that is deep.

Words come out that are so deep from my heart.

I always want to stay there 24 hours a day.

Why would you want to stay there for 24 hours a day?

Because the hour of prayer is just so sweet and the longer you pray, the sweeter it gets.

Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, that takes me from a world of care.

Last night was my first night on, that was Thursday, I received an email that said join the boiler room.

If they joined at 10 last night, stayed on all night, and it's now 1230, how many hours is that?

I'm going through a dark moment and a friend of mine referred me to this prayer room.

In other words, this is my second day and I'm blessed already.

We've had a number of individuals very, very depressed on the verge of suicide.

They learned about the boiler room and they start spending hours there because it's the only place where they can experience some relief and find encouragement to keep pressing on despite all the darkness and hopelessness.

If you know someone who's very depressed and perhaps contemplating suicide, please tell them to check out the boiler room.

Another testimony, an unexpected blessing I received from the 24-7 prayer calls was that I was bathed in prayer.

Prayers were said by others that I needed to say for my life, especially in the area of confession and supplication.

Again and again, we hear people saying, I didn't know how to pray.

I didn't know how to express what was on my heart, but I heard the prayers of others and God ministered through their prayers.

We see how the Holy Spirit is working very powerfully through the prayers of different individuals.

She goes on to say, I can feel how God has used the prayer calls I have participated in to move in and change my heart.

I try to get on every call possible even if it's only for 5 minutes.

God is changing hearts and he's changing lives in the Boiler Room.

Now let me tell you something very quickly.

If you are walking with the Lord and you are filled with the Holy Spirit, if you join the Boiler Room, you might say, what's so special about this place?

And that's because you're already in God's presence and you're filled and walking with the spirit.

But for the person who is in need of revival, for the person who's a destitute of the spirit, when they join, they notice a drastic difference.

They can sense God's presence and the prayers just begin to come out.

I have been searching for God for a long time.

Although I thought I knew him, I didn't know him well.

God led me through someone to find this boiler room.

These days I cry every morning and I am experiencing true repentance.

It is a resurrection from spiritual death.

Father in heaven we thank you so much for being a God who hears and answers our prayers And we thank you for being in the business of changing people's lives Father we also thank you so much for your word, which is living and powerful We just pray that as we would open your word this morning, we pray that you would open our hearts.

We just pray that your spirit would minister and would speak in a very special way to each heart this morning.

A few months ago, I was on a Zoom meeting and had the privilege of hearing a man of God sharing amazing story after amazing story.

You heard someone or you met him and you had the sense that this person had a very close walk with God?

You had the sense that God had his hand over this individual?

So I'm hearing this man of God sharing amazing story after story about how God is opening up doors for him to travel around the world to disciple people and not just Adventists but non-Adventists.

And he was sharing stories of how God was pouring out a spirit and these revivals would take place.

And I'm wanting to know, what is your secret?

Why is it that God is able to bless this individual in such remarkable ways?

You know, I'm involved in this this global prayer ministry and yes, we're seeing revival We're seeing lives change, but we want to see huge revival We want to see worldwide revival and I'm wanting to know what is your secret?

I Pray to God and I said Lord, I would really like to spend some time with this man.

I want to know why it is that you're able to use him and bless him in such a remarkable manner.

God heard that prayer and he answered that prayer.

The Lord worked it out for me to travel to Africa and spend 3 weeks with him.
