After Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness He returned to His hometown, but He didn’t experience a hero’s welcome. They questioned His mission and identity and ran Him out of the city and tried to kill Him. Jesus showed at the start that whether people loved or hated Him, His mission stayed the same.
