Lord, Send the Rain

Good to be here on the Lord's Day with God's people and God's book.

I was very excited to see a great crowd last night.

I've thought many times to myself, doesn't he have anything better to do than just try to destroy people and work against us and go against God's work and against the Bible and against people knowing the Lord.

So anyway, as most of you know, last night or yesterday we got word that the clubhouse had decided for whatever reasons, because of certain pressures that were put upon them, they decided to cancel us from being there, which was sort of a shock.

But when I first heard about it, I thought, well, it's in God's hands.

And he can still work out for good, and he did.

I was just very happy to see last night, we had probably most of the people that came over to the clubhouse, they were redirected and told that because of the situation we've had a change of venue, and they came.

They came, and last night we had a wonderful meeting.

I mean, I was just very blessed, and really sensed that the Lord was there with us and from everything that I could see, talking to the people, looking at them, and that everybody was just very moved by the meeting and that they're planning on coming back this afternoon.

We're here just to lift up Jesus and teach Bible truth and help as many people as possible to get to know him while we still have time.

This is an amazing world that we live in.

You know, this here reminds me of North Idaho.

It's just sort of a little, you know, safety zone in the midst of a crazy world.

As Paul shared, White Horse Media is a very exciting ministry.

We feel like God has brought us together.

We have a very skilled group of people that are very talented, that God has given video skills, editing skills, production skills, audio skills, administrative skills, phone skills, talking to people, praying with people, and I definitely, I'm strongly convicted that White Horse Media is definitely not a one-man show.

I am 1 spoke in a wheel, just as your church is, you know, we all have our part, and I have my part.

And we call ourselves White Horse Media because of Revelation 19, verse 11, that describes Jesus coming on a white horse.

And I thought many times that the rider on the horse is not me.

And our goal is to lift up Christ, to honor him, and to help as many people as possible to know him, and to help people to get ready for his return.

We've also connected with a man who is very tech savvy.

In the last 6 or 8 months, We've been working with him so that when we produce our videos, we have a whole series of videos on our YouTube channel.

We also buy airtime on 3ABN and we send our radio and our television programs to a lot of different places.

But this man, his name is Jeremy, he is very, very high tech, and we've connected with him as well.

And so what he's doing is he is skilled in taking our videos and getting them in front of more eyes.

We pay him a reasonable amount of money for his work and it's just very good.

And it's because of God working through Jeremy and through our team that our Docudrama, The Crowning Act now has probably over 2000000 views, and many of our programs are just getting higher and higher and higher count.

People are watching them around the world.

It's just amazing the technology that's available these days.

The other day I was watching the CEO of a big company called NVIDIA.

I don't know if you've ever heard of NVIDIA, but it's a very high-tech company.

And he was talking about how 1 of these days we'll be able to do a Zoom program online, which we do a lot these days, and it can be instantly translated into languages around the world.

So people will be able to watch these programs in Russia or Africa or China, different places, and they will be able to watch and hear in their own language.

I thought a lot about how in Genesis, God confounded the languages because they were united on an evil purpose.

And then in the book of Acts, chapter 2, God undid that and he gave the disciples the gift of tongues so they could communicate the gospel in different languages.

And we're getting closer to the time when the final call of God is gonna go out to the world, and it wouldn't surprise me if God uses a lot of this technology to again, break down the language barriers so that his message in the book of Revelation can quickly be communicated around the world.

We are living in the closing hours of history.

Again, we don't know how long we have, but the important thing is for us to live our lives every day as if it's our last day, and because whenever that time finally does come, you know, how we've lived our lives down here, that's gonna make all the difference in everything, in our futures, our eternities.

So I was asked to speak this morning and somebody I talked to on the phone said, we really need rain here.

And so that gave me the idea of my sermon.

So my title is called Lord Send the Rain.

So if you have your Bibles, open up to Zechariah chapter 10 verse 1.

This verse was read for the scripture reading, but we'll read it again, and then we'll pray that the Lord will bless us and speak to our hearts.

The Bible says, ask of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain, "'so the Lord shall make bright clouds and give them showers of rain to every 1 grass in the field.

Dear Father in heaven, dear God, thank you for having, for raising up this church here in Pagosa Springs.

Thank you for the way you have blessed the beginning of our seminar, our weekend seminar last night.

We had many people that were here, and it was very exciting to see.

And we also pray that they will come back today at 4 and also 6.30 to learn more from the Bible.

And as we focus right now upon the rain, We just pray for your Holy Spirit to be with us.

Lord, please help me, give me the right words to say that all of us will be deeply convicted and impressed with how important this subject is.

Let me just ask you, how important is rain?

For this area especially, many areas, you know, if you don't have rain for a long enough time, what happens?

Plants die, trees die, your garden dies, unless you have another irrigation source.

And then of course when you have, you know, fire season comes, it's much more dangerous, especially when you combine wind with a dry terrain.

I didn't grow up gardening, but I've just gotten into this.

So in my backyard, I've planted 20 fruit trees.

And I've also got 4 raised beds that I plant kale and tomatoes and different things, string beans, and I've got my berries, my strawberries, my raspberries, and my blueberries.

And in my stressful life with White Horse Media, a lot of, you know, sometimes there's a lot of pressure inside me because of the responsibilities that we have as a ministry, what I do is I just go out into my garden and I just relax and I pray and I listen to sometimes sermons on my phone or from listen to the Bible and it's just very, very peaceful.
