Facing the Final Judgment with No Fear

We can trust him with our future because he is faithful.

And we can trust him now, and we can thank him.

You know, the prospect of facing a trial is not a pleasant thought for anyone.

Yet it happens to the unknown, it happens to the famous.

From a resident in your neighborhood to the 45th president of the United States.

And yes, you and I have to face a judgment too.

Not in a district court, not in a circuit court or Supreme Court of the United States, but before a blazing throne in a heavenly courtroom.

My message today is entitled, Facing the Final Judgment with No Fear.

Because when it comes to the judgment, there's good news.

Father in heaven, we've come here today, Lord, because this is a place Set aside for this very purpose, and that is to gather together to worship you.

We pray that you would be with us who are here today, be with those who are watching online.

May your Holy Spirit be both here and there.

And Lord, may you speak to our hearts, give us hope, and fill us with hope in Jesus' name, amen.

By now, most of us have heard about artificial intelligence, commonly known as AI, and how it's impacting our human existence.

Well, I recently came across an article that outlined 13 mind-blowing things artificial intelligence can already do today.

Well, whether it's news articles or books or emails, legal documents and more, AL, artificial intelligence, reads communications and reports back.

Professional journalists are relying on artificial intelligence to write.

AL can see, and it's been used in many amazing ways, including self-driving cars and facial recognition for police work and more.

It can analyze sound and respond accordingly.

AL can also speak from scheduling appointments to completing tasks or the phone, AL can detect illnesses just...

See, I got human intelligence, and I better stop there.

AI can detect illnesses just by smelling Human breath.

Using sensors and cameras, AI can identify fruit that is supermarket ripe and even can pick them and place them in a basket.

AI can move, play games, debate, and even make artificial or visual art, write poetry, compose music, and take photography and take photos.

Artificial intelligence can even read your mind by interpreting brain signals and then creating speech and response.

I mean it's almost scary to be honest with you, but it's also a little unnerving, wouldn't you say?

And it's also, follow closely now, it's also the very reason why God cannot eternally save and permanently destroy without involving us, even though he already knows who will be saved and who will be lost.

Where are we going with this, you might ask.

You see, AI, artificial intelligence, cannot feel their own emotions.

Artificial intelligence cannot be compelled to protest out of a sense of injustice.

AI cannot praise out of a sense of gratitude.

Artificial intelligence cannot wholeheartedly believe or trust, but human beings can.

If you and I were merely robots, yes, with artificial intelligence, it'd be a different story.

You and I have intelligence, human intelligence, given to us by God himself.

And so the question that 1 can ask is how does an omnipotent or powerful, omniscient, all-knowing, omnipresent God go about fully convincing intelligent human beings of his judgments.

He can't just open a little box here, a little trap door in the back of our heads and just program us to respond and react in a particular way.

God created us with a mind, with the ability to reason, and to make conclusions.

Because even God himself cannot force you to respond any way, because if he were to do so, he would cease to be love.

If he could force you, then he would cease to be love, and he cannot deny himself.

Therefore, God honors, respects our human intelligence and will to make choices.

So again, how does God then go about fully convincing intelligent human beings?

You see, the dictionary defines to investigate in the following way.

Dictionary definition, to carry out a systematic or formal inquiry to discover and examine the facts so as to establish the truth.

So God investigates to ensure due process during the judgment.

In fact, it should not come as a surprise, for he did so at various times throughout Bible history, biblical history.

You see, God investigated first before executing judgment on Adam and Eve.

Genesis chapter 3, as we take a closer look at some biblical examples of how God investigates for the purpose of being able to conduct due process with intelligent human beings.

We're getting to the heart of the good news.

Why the final judgment is good news and we can face it with no fear.

In Genesis chapter 3, in Genesis chapter 3 we find God, the Lord God in the presence of Adam and Eve.

And though being omniscient, the first words of the Lord God upon entering the Garden of Eden that day in the cool of the day was not pronouncing judgment on them.

Now could God, could God have pronounced judgment on them?

He could have pronounced judgment on the spot.

But instead, instead he investigated first with questions.
