Satan in Media: Spiritualism - When Demons Invade Primetime Television

Welcome here to breakout session number 1.

I've entitled this little mini-series, Satan in Media.

And this is part 1, called, When Demons Invade Prime Time Television.

If you have a Bible, let's open up to Revelation chapter 16, verse 14.

16, 14, and once you've got that, we'll pray a prayer.

This is definitely a subject that we need angelic protection.

I've been speaking on this for many, many years, in many places, written a lot of books about it.

And I know that Satan does not appreciate these kind of talks.

His deception of spiritualism is gigantic, And it has many tentacles, not just in media, but there's other dimensions of spiritualism which even can invade churches that don't believe in talking to the dead.

And it can also come into our own church, which I believe it has, in some ways, which we'll talk about that as well.

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for the chance to be here at Weimar Institute for the Western Youth Conference and to discuss what the devil is doing and what you are doing.

We want to focus more on you than on Satan, but we also need to be aware of the devices of our enemy so that we can be on guard and we can warn others and we can be involved in standing for the truth in the midst of global delusion.

We pray that you will bless us now as we get into this topic.

May the Holy Spirit be here and may the angels be around us.

All right, when demons invade prime time television, let's look at Revelation chapter 16, verse 14.

The Bible says, for they are the spirits of what?

The spirits of devils, working miracles which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of the great day of God Almighty.

If you look at verse 16 it says, he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue and what's the name of the final battle?

The battle is Armageddon and if you just look at the context here what's happening is verse 16 identifies the name of the big final battle between God and Satan, called Armageddon.

And verse 14, which is part of the build up to Armageddon, talks about the activities of spirits of devils that are going around the world to prepare people, really, to be on Satan's side in this great controversy.

Now, I've given this talk in front of all kinds of different audiences, not just Christian, but secular in a mixture.

And I build my case that there is a supernatural world around us, that we are visible beings, but there is an invisible world.

And this verse is talking about the invisible world, the spirits.

And spirits are things that you can't see.

And that verse says they are spirits of devils.

I strongly believe in a mastermind of delusion, a personal being named Lucifer.

His name was changed from Lucifer, meaning light bearer, to Satan, and he was kicked out of heaven.

And he is now the commander and chief, you might say, of an entire army of evil forces.

And that verse is actually plural, it says, Or at least the word there, it says, they are the spirits of devils, plural, meaning that there's more than 1 devil, more than 1 demon.

We don't know how many are out there, millions and probably billions of evil spirits.

They're the ones that were kicked out of heaven.

Somebody once said, and I think it's a classic line, that 1 of the devil's greatest deceptions is to convince humanity that there is no devil.

And that's true, if he can convince people that he's not there, then the door is wide open for him to come in and to do what he wants to do and what he does best, which is to deceive and destroy.

Now this verse says they are the spirits of devils working miracles.

Now the word miracles basically means manifestations of power, manifestations of supernatural power.

When these devils who are behind the scenes do their miracles in front of people and they manifest themselves, This implies that people who look at these miracles don't know that the miracles are coming from devils.

Most the time when people see a miracle or something supernatural, they think God did it.

But this verse tells us that it's not something good.

It's something that comes from Satan and from his angels.

And they manifest themselves out in the open through miraculous signs and things that they do in the visible world.

But most of the time, they like to hide their identity and stay behind the scenes.

It reminds me of a little event I had with my little boy when my son Seth was, I think he was about 3.

We were living in Paso Robles, California.

And 1 time, Seth and I went for a walk in the neighborhood, and we found ourselves in front of this big field.

And there were these ground squirrels that would pop out of their holes, and they would run across this field, then they would go back into their holes.

And if my little boy decided to chase them to see if he could catch 1.

And they would just go up and down, up and down into these holes.

And as I've thought about these squirrels coming out of their holes, it reminds me of this verse.

The devil generally likes to stay in his hole.

In other words, he likes to stay behind the scenes.

But in this verse, it says he's going to be manifesting himself more and more through satanic activity, through miracles, through signs, through wonders, coming out of his hole and deceiving people.

But obviously, the big difference between, well, there's a lot of differences, but 1 of the differences between ground squirrels and devils is that when you look at a ground squirrel running across a field, if it looks like a ground squirrel, if it runs like a ground squirrel, then it is a ground squirrel.

But when Satan comes out of his hole and manifests himself and does what he does, he hides his identity.

So people do not know what they're looking at and what they are dealing with.

And this verse is very powerful because it tells us that the spirits of devil's working miracles are going to be going forth.

And they're going to go out to the kings of the earth.

Now that word king, if you do a study of the word king in the Bible, it doesn't just refer to individual kings and leaderships.

But it also refers to the kingdoms, which really, this verse basically means that the devils are going out to the kingdoms of the world and the nations of the world.

It says the kings of the earth and of the whole world.

So we can expect a burst of satanic activity before Jesus comes.

And it says they're going out to gather people, to gather them, which means to trick them and to deceive them and to get people to be on their side, to be on the side of the devil and his angels.

And they're doing this so that they can be on Satan's side when the battle, it says, of the great day of God Almighty, which is Armageddon, finally hits.

Now here is a quotation from the book Great Controversy, page 561.

This is extremely relevant, very powerful quote.

And it's 1 of the reasons that I've been launched into a focus in our ministry to try to expose the teachings of spiritualism.

White Horse Media is based in Priest River, Idaho.

And 1 of the battlefields that we have chosen to engage in has to do with trying to expose the teachings and the activities of spiritualism.

And this quote is 1 of the reasons why we have chosen to do this.

Satan in Media: Witchcraft

This is part 2 of my 3 part little mini series here at the Western Youth Conference, And we are talking about Satan in media.

The first part was about spiritualism through all of the television programs and the movies that are communicating the ideas of Satan's masterpiece of deception.

And for part 2 we're gonna shift gears a little bit and talk about witchcraft and Harry Potter, Wicca, and Bible prophecy.

So let's open our Bibles to Daniel chapter 2.

Dear God in heaven, Father we pray for your Holy Spirit to help us as we go back into the Bible and as we look at another very scary subject, a controversial subject, but 1 that we need to understand so that we can be more motivated to be strong in our relationship with Jesus.

Lord, please help us to focus on Christ and on your word, and also to expose the works of darkness, which are all around us, and the best way to do this is with the light.

Alright, Daniel chapter 2, I think probably most of us know this chapter, but I'd like to draw your attention to a number of things.

Daniel chapter 2 starts out, in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, who was the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, and his spirit was troubled, and his sleep broke from him.

Where Nebuchadnezzar had the dream and it was so shocking.

He woke up maybe in the middle of the night or in the morning and he wanted to find out 2 things.

And then the second thing was what it meant.

And so in verse 2, he decides to gather around him all of his administrators and professional wise men and counselors to give him advice on the dream and the meaning, It says in verse 2, then the king commanded to call.

My Bible says in the King James that he called the magicians and the astrologers and the sorcerers and the Chaldeans to show the king his dreams.

So they came and they stood before the king.

Now this is very significant to me because we're reading about ancient Babylon.

And it shows us that at the very heart of the wise men of ancient Babylon was occultism.

So when Nebuchadnezzar had his dream and he woke up and forgot it and wanted to find out what it was and what it meant, he called in his wise men and they were occultists.

And that just tells us that Babylon, ancient Babylon, was permeated with occultism.

And there's many verses that talk about this, not just this 1, there's others.

There's Isaiah 47 talks about the enchantments of ancient Babylon.

The pharaoh, when the plagues were falling all around in Egypt, who did he gather around him to try to counteract these plagues?

So the magicians were high up in the leadership of Egypt, the magicians were high up in the leadership of ancient Babylon, And it's the same thing in the book of Revelation.

When it comes to modern Babylon, Daniel 2 is the root system of the book of Revelation.

If you look at chapter 21, verse 8, Revelation 21, verse 8, talks about the group of people that go into the lake of fire.

Verse 8 says, the fearful and the unbelieving and the abominable and the murderers and the whoremongers.

They will have their part in the lake of fire, which burns, the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Revelation chapter 18, verse 23, talks about Babylon and her deceptions and how she deceives the world.

18, 23 says, At the end of the verse it says, for by her sorceries were all the nations deceived.

And so my point is that occultism was big in ancient Babylon.

It's gotta be big in modern Babylon, which is root system goes back to ancient Babylon.

Sorcery is listed in Revelation as 1 of the categories of those that go into the lake of fire, and the Bible says that Babylon uses sorcery to deceive the world.

So it's obvious that sorcery and witchcraft and occultism plays a major role in the Bible and also in the book of Revelation.

Now in the last meeting we talked about spiritualism and I attempted to prove that 1 of the reasons why spiritualism is growing so rapidly is because of the influence of Hollywood.

Hollywood has capitalized on the interest of this subject and they've brought it to the masses.

The same thing has happened with witchcraft and this form of occultism.

I've got quite a few pictures, and I'm just going to go through these fast.

1 of them is the Idiot's Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft.

Wicca, in case you don't know it, is a religion that practices witchcraft.

It's sort of a modern version of witchcraft that claims to promote what they call white magic instead of black magic.

You can learn all kinds of spells that will help you do your homework better, that will help you get good grades in school, that can help you lose weight or gain weight, help you make money, help you find the love of your life, there's spells for everything.

And here's a couple of books here, The Idiot's Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft.

And the next 1 is Wicca and Witchcraft for Dummies.

Now, let me tell you something, Whenever a dummy book comes out, you know from that, that this is a major trend in society.

The people that write these books, they study the trends.

When computers really got big, You had computers for dummies.

And so then they come out with a dummy book.

And the fact that you've got these dummy books dealing with Wicca and witchcraft shows that we're dealing with something that's big on the cutting edge of society.

Now the reason for this, I believe, is because of Hollywood.

Just like with spiritualism, it's the same thing with witchcraft.

I think the audio verse are gonna grab these slides somehow and put them on their website so people can see the slides in connection with my comments.

This is a very popular television series about a girl there with supernatural powers who learns to use her witchcraft wisely.

That's where people try to get involved in witchcraft, but try to use it wisely in a good way.

Now you look at that picture of that young lady there.

When most people think of witches, at least when They used to think of witches, they think of dark, sinister looking people with big black hats and big long noses.

And they're stirring the cauldron and they're the witches.

But today's witches are completely different than the ancient witches.

And a lot of it's because Hollywood is portraying people that are involved in witchcraft as very cool, very savvy, very sexy, and very attractive.

And above all, they have supernatural powers.

And it is appealing to people today to want to have supernatural power.

And 1 reason is because this is a stressed out world.
