Life Changing Testimonies Part 2

Okay, we have a special lady from Hendersonville, Tennessee.

What do you have to share with us, Brielle?

Okay, well, I came here to Army, not really sure what to expect because I mean, I'm always so blessed at GYC and I'm like, Lord, how can I be more blessed?

And I guess the Lord has really showed me that I shouldn't limit Him because, man, God has really showed me my need, that I need to be a beggar, to desire and starve for those crumbs and to pray to Him more.

And I've seen Him work so miraculously these past few days, you know, and just drawing me and my friends closer to Him.

And as that's been happening, he's been just drawing us closer together, you know, and just the unity here, you know.

The prayer room is just such a wonderful experience, you know, just coming before God in earnest prayer and praise and supplication.

And the Holy Spirit, you know, the Holy Spirit is here.

God has given us His Holy Spirit and is such a precious, precious gift.

And I just pray that when I go home that God will give me the strength to share what I've learned here with my friends and with my family because God is so good and He is coming soon.

You know, do you guys remember what I shared about what Charles Spurgeon said about, you know, when you talk about heaven, your face should be irradiated with a heavenly gleam, and when you speak of hell, your ordinary face will do?

See, I haven't met her, but the thing is, when I would see her in the crowds, her face is always irradiated.

When you get to meet my age, it's hard to tell the high schoolers from the college students.

Praise God for parents who listen to him, right?

Honestly, I didn't want to come, kind of.

It's like you're carrying a whole bunch of bags of groceries, right?

And you're trying to hold onto it, and you can see the bag kind of tearing, and everything that you've put into it just kind of falling out.

So I kind of felt like that and I was really frustrated and...

So Thursday night I had a test, a college exam, the following day that I have to do anyway.

So I was sitting, and I didn't want to come into the meeting because I was like, I really need to study.

I haven't been able to study because I've had to go on to these meetings even though they're really good and whatever.

But I was sitting there and my mom came out to me and she's like, listen, you know, God says if you ask, if you seek after him, he will give you all these things and it doesn't matter.

And so I went, I was like, okay, I'll go into the prayer room.

And honestly, I kind of feel uncomfortable when people cry around me, or when I cry.

And so I was like, okay, Lord, I'll go into the prayer room.

You take care of the rest, because really, I'm not believing really here.

So I went to the prayer room and I prayed.

So and I felt better the next day at the exam you know we prayed about the exam.

I felt so much better about the exam, but I still didn't quite feel like everything was right.

So when they announced, OK, Saturday night, we're going to go through all the nights, I was like, OK, well, the last time I went just for an hour, I'll just go for an hour again.

So I went for the hour, and it got longer and longer, and I didn't go back.

By the time 04:00 rolled around, I was like, okay, fine, I'm going to go home.

And the amazing thing was I wasn't tired, which was absolutely fantastic.

And I was feeling better and better and better, but I guess just my selfish flesh just like, I love to sleep, I need to go sleep.

But by 04:00, God, something just told me, well, maybe you shouldn't go home.

And by the time the morning came, I felt so much more at ease about all the decisions that I have to make.

I went to sleep, I slept 2 hours, I woke up and I had been dreaming about praying.

And I woke up still, I still felt that spirit of prayer.

Like I was still hearing those songs that we had been singing in my head ringing around.

I didn't feel as stressed anymore about the different things that I had to do in my life.

I just want to thank you guys and thank God so much for Army.

After you cry a lot, after a while, you don't get embarrassed about it anymore.
