Friendship Evangelism - Part 2

So how many of you are excited about Bible Boot Camp?

And you'll learn the information you need to share and then you'll follow up with the evangelism training class and learn how to share it, right?

And it's on Friday nights and Sabbaths, right Allison?

So it's not like you're gonna study anyway because it's the Sabbath, so you might as well come.

We're giving you every opportunity to do something for God, you got to take advantage of it, amen?

Okay, so we're gonna continue, and in this last little segment, I want to give you just some very practical things that you can use, and by the time Allison gets ready to teach her class, you'll either have done it so many times that you know it by heart and you can help Allison teach it, or you will have forgotten it so she'll probably teach it again.

And so this is some exciting stuff, and I think you'll find it useful, and as you put into practice, you'll find it's really not that hard at all.

So let's pray together, and then we'll dive right back in, alright?

Father in heaven, we thank you so much for this time and ask you now to bless us and to draw us near and that you would speak to our hearts as we share together, in Jesus' name, amen.

Alright, let's quickly review Christ's method alone.

Christ's method alone will give what kind of success?

He mingled with men as 1 who desired their good.

Showed sympathy for them, then He ministered to their needs, thus He won their confidence, and then He bade them, come follow Me.

So again, what is the cycle for winning someone to Jesus?

Number 1, it's making friends with them and then winning their confidence and then sharing God's Word.

Now there are times certainly that you can share God's Word.

I'm not saying you shouldn't witness to people if you first meet them, like if you're, you know, for instance, if you do go door to door or you're out at a restaurant and someone notices your Bible sitting there and they want to comment, they say, hey, You know, I've been considering reading the Bible and you say, well, I can't tell you about the Bible until I've won your confidence.

Certainly there are moments when that happens.

But typically, most of the time it works this way, where the people you interact with, you win that confidence and then you share with them, right?

But there are certainly always exceptions.

Friends can bring friends to Jesus, so be a friend, develop trust, and share God's Word.

I want to share a wonderful promise with you.

It's from the book Christ Object Lessons.

And this I always share this with the AFCO students because how many of you, you guys are reading it, I don't want you to read it yet.

How many of you are nervous about giving a Bible study?

What is your biggest scare about giving a Bible study?

You're afraid they're going to reject you, right?

There's 1 more big 1 that people always say.

I don't know enough to share someone, right?

And so what if they ask me something I don't know the answer to?

It's going to be the end of the world, right?

Because I'm just going to crumble and melt like a little sugar cube under hot water, Right?

Well, let me share a promise with you from Christ's Object Lessons, page 354.

And it says, He who begins with a little knowledge.

Now, you notice that you notice the catch here it says he who what begins.

The only way you're gonna see this promise fulfilled in your life is if you begin to share Christ with others, right?

So how many of you have a little knowledge?

You have a little knowledge, so you can give a Bible study, amen?

He who begins with a little knowledge in a humble way, how many of you are humble?

If you just raised your hand you've just lost your humility.

Who begins in a humble way and tells what he knows.

Would God, I mean, think about it, is God reasonable?

Would God expect you to share something that you don't know?

Not at that moment, but He may want you to share it later once you know it, right?

But God only expects you to share what you know.

And if you're willing to share that, that's all God can ask of you, right?

And so if you know something, you're willing to share it while seeking diligently for further knowledge.

How many of you can continue to study the Bible for yourself as you share with someone else?

We'll find a portion of the heavenly treasure awaiting His demand.

The whole heavenly treasure awaiting His demand.

The more He seeks to impart light, the more He will receive, the more 1 tries to explain the Word of God to others with a love for souls, the plainer it becomes to himself." Now consider this, when you take an interest in a soul, when you take an interest in someone that doesn't know but needs to know Jesus, then all of heaven takes an interest in you.

I mean, they do anyway, but you understand what I mean.

They take a deeper interest and God will use the whole heavenly treasure, and who does that consist of?

The Holy Spirit, And God will use every angel He has to, every angel in heaven if necessary, to aid you in reaching out to that person for Christ.

Now, can you go wrong with that, yes or no?

How many of you would like to have all the angels of heaven by your side while you're giving a Bible study?

Well if that's what you need, that's what God will do for you, amen?

And He will do powerful things if you're just willing to begin.
