The Wake Up Call

Good evening and happy Sabbath to everyone.

It is a privilege to be here with you all and I'm thankful to God for the opportunity to talk with his people tonight.

There are some very important things that heaven desires to impart to our hearts.

It's gonna be imperative, brothers and sisters, that we truly pray as we hear God speak to us tonight.

Because I'm fully convinced that great things are happening in this world and it's all taking place to let us know that time is almost finished.

Everything we've ever studied about, everything we've ever done our seminars about, the things that we have done and demonstrated through the books of Daniel and Revelation, we are literally seeing them come to pass.

And I believe with all my heart that 1 of the great reasons why this crisis that the Bible speaks about has not taken place yet is because God in love and mercy is looking down upon his own people and he's saying they're not ready yet.

And brothers and sisters, the whole focus of everything that we should do should be to get ready.

We're gonna have some very serious discussions this weekend.

We're gonna come face to face with ourselves and with the Word of God And we want God to speak to our hearts.

And brothers and sisters, I'm telling you the truth.

I'm saying, Lord, do something in my own heart.

Get me ready for this final crisis, Father.

Help me to get ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

So I stand before you not as a superior man to you.

I stand before you as a man in need of Jesus just like you.

And so, brothers and sisters, as we prepare to go into tonight's topic, entering within the veil, As much as you're able to, I'm going to invite you to kneel with me as we approach God's throne in prayer.

Our Heavenly Father, we thank you, Lord, for the privilege and the opportunity to worship you on this your holy Sabbath day of rest.

We are grateful that you have given us power to keep holy every hour.

And Lord, this power that you have given to us, dear God, it is not by natural might nor by natural power, but it's by your Spirit that we can truly do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Father we have sinned against you in word, thought, and deed.

Perhaps even as we were about to come into these doors there may have been things that have not been confessed.

And if so, please bring it to our remembrance even now, that we may confess it, forsake it, and overcome it by your grace.

Lord, do something special in these meetings.

Lord, we have meetings after meetings after meetings, and heaven is just still wondering, are they getting it?

Help us Father to cooperate with you as you speak to our hearts tonight.

Please take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee.

And may you open all of our eyes and help us to behold wondrous things from your word.

It's our prayer that we ask in Jesus' name.

You know, I was just on the phone with my wife.

I'm so thankful that I can honestly say without flinching that I love my bride.

And as she and I were talking, you know, as I was talking with her, I found myself nervous.

A lot of times people always say, Brother Lemon, do you get nervous before you speak?

Because brothers and sisters, I'm handling something that is more precious than gold.

Ministers of the gospel, when they preach the word of God, they are handling the most precious treasure that could ever be put into the hand of a man, the Word of God.

And it's imperative that the minister gives the people the Word as meat in due season.

I said, honey, I just need to talk to you.

And as we were talking and everything, I often do this when I travel and if I'm somewhere without my bride I always ask her, honey can you pray?

She of course agreed gladly and she prayed with me and I felt that peace of God.

And I found myself that when I got off the phone, I said, Lord, I long to see her face.

And God was impressing on my heart at that very moment to say, magnify what you feel times infinity.

God says I long to look my bride face to face.

You see when you go to the book of Genesis chapter 2 I want you to see something.

God longs to look at his bride face to face.

The Bible says in Genesis chapter 2, You're going to find that many of the scriptures that we will review are going to be that which you've heard before.

All we want to do is review it and receive it in our hearts that we may be transformed.

The Bible says in Genesis chapter 2, you know what it says in verse 7, God tenderly, while he was speaking everything else into existence when it came to the 1 whom he would deem to be his bride, God knew that it's going to take more than just speaking this into existence.

God says I need to get my hands into this.

The Bible says in Genesis chapter 2 in verse 7 it says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

This same being that God made, both from Adam and Eve, it is interesting how God eventually, as he was creating man with that great desire to commune with man, brothers and sisters, God made you because he needed you.

God made us for communion, not just to have a whole bunch of servants.

When God made us, his desire was to enjoy time with his creation.

The Bible says in verse 20 of that same chapter.

1 of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof and the rib which the Lord God had taken from man made he a woman and brought her unto the man and Adam said this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be 1 flesh and they were both naked the man and his wife and were not ashamed God was able to have face-to-face communion with his creation via Adam and Eve.

When God had this wonderful union come together, face-to-face communion, he was able to communicate.

There was no need for a medium, no need for burning bushes, no need for the minister giving the living word.

God was able to look his creation right in the face and have communion.

The great focus of Jesus is that he may have face-to-face communion with his bride.

But 1 day, you know the story, that face-to-face communion got disrupted, didn't it?

The Bible spells out how it happened in Genesis chapter 3.

The Bible says in Genesis chapter 3, verses 6 through 10, Eve finds herself talking with a snake.

And as she's talking and having this dialogue with this snake, eventually it says in verse 6, and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desired, to make 1 wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat and gave also unto her husband with her and he did eat.

And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves apron.

It says Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden and the Lord God called unto Adam and said unto him where art thou?

And he said I heard thy voice in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself.

It was right at this point that God in love and mercy, as much as he loved his bride.

Now that sin had entered into the picture, God now had to make a decision to say, either I can go ahead and be selfish and indulge in my emotions and just go ahead and behold you anyhow, but God knew, according to Hebrews 12, 29, that I'm a consuming fire.

And if sin is in my direct presence, it will be destroyed.

So therefore he had to oust them out of the garden.

And the face-to-face communion now had to be broken.

You see, brothers and sisters, there's only 1 thing.

It's amazing to me how we can talk about face-to-face, shall I behold them, in that beautiful hymn.

But brothers and sisters, we must understand that the only way, I want you to think about this, there's a man and there's a woman who are married and they and they love 1 another.

And as this husband and wife, they love 1 another and their family and they have children and everything.

They love each other, but then 1 day, 1 of those spouses who loved each other fell into adultery.

Here it is that that spouse now leaves home and they're going around with this third party and they're messing around thinking that they're having a wonderful time and they go ahead and get into the dirt of sin but lo and behold a time comes where all of a sudden that spouse realizes, you know what?

So then that spouse now comes back home to the other spouse and the children, knocks on the door and says, Listen, you know what?

I realize what I did, but you know what, I want to come back home.

How to Have Religious Liberty Before Religious Liberty

We just want to give a few moments so everyone can get situated.

In the meantime, let me say Happy Sabbath to everyone.

I pray that you are not bearing a false witness and that you are in fact having a happy Sabbath.

Anytime God's people get to come together to hear truth as it is in Jesus, sweet Christian fellowship, That's a happy Sabbath.

And I know that there's many things that God wants to share with us, and that's why I always tell you that you want to pray.

Lord, please prepare my heart to receive that which you have.

But even Jesus said, "'Let them who have ears to hear, hear.'" So that means that I need to pray, Lord, give me ears that I can hear because we're gonna find that there are many who have ears but cannot hear.

And God wants us to have ears that we may hear, eyes that we can see, that we may know what to do to prepare to meet our God.

Last night, we saw very clearly from the Word of God, we saw through just some simple little events.

I had much more to show you, but just from the simple few things, we could see Truly that time is almost finished.

And God wants us to understand that you know, even Jesus when he preached the gospel if you're a Christian Especially if you're a Christian minister or evangelist or teacher of any kind We know that no 1 could preach or teach the gospel better than Jesus, amen?

But when you read Mark chapter 1 verses 14 and 15, it shows us how Jesus preached the gospel.

So I believe if we want to follow in the footsteps of the Master, we should do what he did.

And I want you to turn your Bibles to the book of Mark chapter 1, and I want you to see what it says in verses 14 and 15.

In Mark 1 verses 14 and 15, the Bible simply says this, Father may you add a blessing to the reading of your word.

The Bible says in verse 14, now, after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching what?

It says the gospel of the kingdom of God and saying the what?

Time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand.

There was something that Jesus understood.

You see, brothers and sisters, I believe this with all my heart.

Seventh-day Adventists, our issue is not so much that we have not been exposed to a lot of truth.

In other words, we've been exposed to a lot.

I've done my studies on Advent Hope especially, and you all have learned much present truth, much.

But the problem is, is that many of God's people have this tomorrow mentality.

We learn we can experience victory over sin through the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

We learn all sorts of wonderful doctrinal truths, but at the end of the day when it comes time to Implement these truths in our daily lives we say tomorrow Tomorrow When I'm finished accomplishing my goals When I'm finished accomplishing my objectives tomorrow, then I'll take this thing real serious.

What we don't understand is that time is almost finished.

And that's why even Jesus, when he came, not only was his people blind to understanding certain truths for the time, but there were many who understood the truths, but they were lazy.

And when he pointed out that time was almost finished, brothers and sisters, it gave that other element that we need, which is, you know what?

To stop putting off tomorrow that which God has called us to do today.

And so my hope and my prayer is that we will sense the urgency to say, Lord, everything that you've taught me, everything that I know and that I understand about the Bible and the spirit of prophecy and truth for this time, Lord, help me to finally cooperate with you.

And not let it just simply be a song, but let it be literally the dictate of my life, all to Jesus I surrender.

And so I come not to give you new information.

There are plenty of other more talented speakers that you can invite here that will give you that.

I believe the gift God has given me simply is to say, brothers and sisters, take what you know and put it into action now.

And so we're going to go into this message this morning.

We're going to hear the Lord speak to our hearts, and I pray that we will recognize like never before what I must do.

Now I know that we're very crowded in here, but if you're able to, I'm going to invite you to kneel with me.

If you cannot kneel, then you reverently bow your heads where you are, but if you are able to, I'm going to invite you to kneel with me as we approach God's throne in prayer this morning.

Heavenly Father, we praise you and thank you for the opportunity to hear from heaven.

We thank you for the sweet Holy Sabbath day of rest.

And Father, we come because our hearts are hungering and thirsting after righteousness.

There is more about Jesus that we would learn.

And Lord, this morning we are asking for first the forgiveness of our sins.

Please may you cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And Father, we're praying for the outpouring of your Holy Spirit, that He may develop us and mold our minds and fashion us and lift us in a holy atmosphere where the rich current of your love can flow through our souls.

May you take all of our lives and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.

Father, this is our prayer that we ask, for we ask it in Jesus' name.

You know, brothers and sisters, to be like Jesus, that should be our song, both in the home as well as in the throng.

And 1 thing that we will find is that if a person is going to be like Jesus, then he should work like Jesus.

If an individual is going to be like Jesus, she should work like Jesus.

And I want to introduce you to the mindset of Jesus when he came on this earth.

I want you to notice what the Bible says in John chapter 4.

In John 4, we are introduced to the mind of Jesus Christ as he worked.

There's a great world that is dying in sin every day.

There are churches that constitute what the Bible calls Babylon that unfortunately are causing individuals to be drunk with its wine and being brought forth into a realm of confusion.

Even in God's remnant church, there are those who have taken their eyes off of Christ in that most holy place and no longer understand him or his work.

Everywhere around us we can see individuals who are unfit and unprepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ, yay for the final crisis.

And God is trying to help us see that soon and very soon, all things are gonna take place and unfold and take the majority of the people in this world and in the church as an overwhelming surprise.

And God in love and mercy, brothers and sisters, is holding back those winds.

God in love and mercy is holding it back because He knows that there are people even here today that once they hear the voice of the shepherd as faithful sheep, they will follow him.

As long as God sees that there are individuals that will still respond to his voice, he will hold back those winds.

But brothers and sisters, I promise you, he won't be holding them back for much longer.

As I'm traveling all throughout the world, I'm seeing that people are responding to the gospel.

I am seeing that people are willing to die for this truth.

The only people who will live for Jesus, or rather the only people who will die for Jesus, are first those who have learned to live for him.

And therefore, when we look all around us and we see this tremendous amount of lack of preparation both in the world and in the churches, it gives us a sense of urgency to do our work as Jesus did it.

And The Bible shows us what was on Jesus's mind when he did his work.

In John chapter 4, you remember that Jesus came and met with a woman at the well.

And when Jesus was ministering to this woman at the well, he began to reveal himself to her as the Messiah, the 1 that she claimed they were looking for.

And when she ran off to tell others about the contact that she had with a real man, you remember she was with a bunch of other boys, but when she came in contact with a real man, she said, oh no, I got to tell everybody about this man.

And as she went, the disciples in compassion and love came to Jesus.

And it says in verse 31 of John 4, and if you're there, say amen.

It says in verse 31, in the meanwhile, his disciples prayed him saying, Master, eat.

They were looking at Jesus and they were thinking to themselves, Master, you've been working so hard.

Brothers and sisters, Jesus was not a lazy man.

Jesus was not the kind of man that had clock-in, clock-out hours.

Jesus was 1 who understood when souls are in need, here I am.

The Three Lines of Ministry

We're thankful to God to be back together this afternoon.

And there's more about Jesus that we would learn.

You know, it really is amazing when you can just remember times.

I don't know if you remember it in your life, but I remember it in mine when we were having our lunch fellowship this afternoon and we were just reminiscing on the times where we didn't know God.

And He was the last person on our minds, and how He got our attention, and today He's the center of our hearts.

I pray that the love of Jesus is in the center of your heart.

And God loves us and he wants us to be a people prepared to meet him because he's coming.

This world has given us every harbinger to let us know he's coming.

And therefore, he calls us to be a people prepared.

And We saw that, you know, time is almost finished.

We saw that the finishing of the work was a great focus of Jesus Christ.

And brothers and sisters, we saw that God wants to finish the work through us.

We are that body that he wants to work in and work through to finish the work in this generation so we can finally go home.

And so he's just calling us to cooperate with him.

So this afternoon, we've responded to the call.

We've recognized, all right, I'm not called to be a reflector of another man's thoughts or another man's direction.

I am called of God to follow his leading and his guiding.

But God is making a call to workers, but now we need to understand the kind of workers that God is setting up.

And so we're going to study this afternoon the threefold workers.

That's going to be our focus for this afternoon study so as is our tradition I'm going to once again ask that if you are able to that you would please reverently kneel with me as we approach the Lord in prayer.

Our Father in heaven, we thank you so much for the revival and the reformation that has already begun in our hearts this weekend.

We thank you for the homes and the hearts that have been changed for thy glory.

And Lord, it's our desire that we really get things right with you.

There's more about Jesus we all would learn.

And so, Lord, we know that your desire is to give us the truth as it is in Jesus Christ.

Father, we know that your desire is to give us your Holy Spirit, for you said in your word that as an earthly child asks an earthly parent for temporal things, how much more does our Father in heaven want to give us and will give us the Holy Spirit if we would ask?

And so, Father, we ask first for the forgiveness of our sins, but then, Lord, we pray, please send us your Holy Spirit.

May he be the 1 that opens our eyes and gives us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

And may you enable us that we will go forward and finish the work as you've called us to do and abide with us now as we observe the threefold works.

I pray that thy blessings will be upon each and every 1 of your people, for we ask these things in Jesus' name, amen.

You'll remember earlier today that I mentioned that to be like Jesus is to work like Jesus.

If we're gonna be like Jesus, we saw that we need to have a mind like His.

1 of the things we discovered about His mind is that His mind was focused on finishing the work.

We saw that very clearly, and as that was the focus of Jesus, so it will be with all of Christ's workers in these last days.

Now looking at that very fact, it is not enough to simply have the mind of Christ, but obviously the actions as well.

Now, Jesus gave us a very expressed statement in the book of John, the 20th chapter.

And when you go to John chapter 20, you'll find that the Bible says something very beautiful as it relates to Christ and the workers.

Notice what the Bible says in John chapter 20.
