I think right now I'll just be introducing myself and my lovely wife as we're waiting for the stand.

So good afternoon, my name is Jaffer Throne, this is my lovely wife Jess.

We'll be taking you through faith of our fathers, faith revived.

Maybe Jess you can just come up and tell us the general flow of the program for just 2 days today and tomorrow.

All right so today we are laying the foundation to probably look like another prophecy class of how God started this movement of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and we'll be putting that foundation from the Word of God biblically to understand how we came about as a church and why.

And then tomorrow, we will be breaking down the doctrines that guide the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

There are so many things that we talk about, we are excited about, but maybe they're not the most important things that actually guide or should be guiding the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

So we'll be going back again to the spirit of prophecy and to the word of God to look at what are our key pillars and where are those key pillars, I mean, where are they the key pillars?

And we are going to go back, not just even when the Seventh-day Adventist Church began, but we are going to go as far back as the 1600s, the 1500s, and all the way back to the early church.

And we look at who believed the things that we believe today and what did they say.

It will surprise you to learn that many of those unique Adventist truths that we have today have been taught and preached for thousands of years by very many people.

It's just that we don't know of it, and it looks like, oh, that's Adventist, that's Adventist.

But if you research and look at it deeply, it's been preached by so many other people in the past.

So that's the crux of this seminar, and the hope and the objective is that we leave from this place having a better understanding of the foundational truths of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and even understanding where it came from and how it began.

So I think we will pray and then we'll give you a bit of a background of ourselves and then we'll begin the session.

Our Heavenly Father, we are grateful that in this last day, there is a star that is still guiding your church.

We are grateful that there is still truth that can be found in your word.

We are grateful that Lord, you have not left us without a guide.

And now while everyone is running to and fro, I pray that those who have come to this place will find the true word from heaven.

Therefore speak to us and enlighten our minds while converting our hearts so that we can all be drawn to you, for we have prayed, trusting and believing in Jesus' holy name.

And the focus of our study will actually be 2 chapters.

1, Revelation 12, another Daniel, Revelation 10, Daniel 12.

We look at something that actually, there's actually a prophecy in the Bible that actually, we can actually place ourselves right there in the scriptures to help us understand where we came from, why we are here, and what next.

The last book of the Bible, what is it called?

I think in some books, some Bibles, it's called the Revelation of John, and we understand maybe it's because John is the author, but truly, it is that in fact, the first line of Revelation 1 says what?

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto?

So the expectation, therefore, when studying prophecy, when studying the book of Revelation, is not just to find powers, world powers, systems and things like that.

The expectation is actually to find Jesus Christ and his message, his revelation that he has for us.

You know, there's another word that we have in common parlance that has been associated with disaster, with cataclysm, with conflict.

Okay, yes, there's something secret there.

Yeah, it's just that the word itself has been associated with conflict and the apocalypse.

And the essence of this is I want to demystify from us that the book of Revelation is actually a pleasant book from us, especially as we are studying Revelation chapter 10.

Because in Revelation chapter 10, we'll actually even find Jesus Christ at front and center, at the very center of that book.

I want us to read the book of Revelation chapter 10 from verse 1 until verse 3.

Revelation 10 from verse 1 to verse 3 as we are following along with this study of faith of our fathers.

So, we'll actually try and identify who this individual is because this individual is central to the message in Revelation 10 and we will see central to the history of the SDA church.

Now this angel he's clothed with something in verse verse 1 it's clothed with with a cloud And then it says he has what around his head?

And in all of these things we realize they're actually symbols of none other than Jesus Christ.

Someone can read for us Revelation chapter 1, 15 and 16.

Revelation 1, 15 and 16, we actually find 3 of those identifying markers and they are a representation of Jesus Christ himself.

And then somebody else can turn to Ezekiel chapter 1, verse 26, 28, and just to identify who this being is.

Because he has a very special message for us.

And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace.

Yes, so you see, feet like fine brass, like it burned in a furnace.

Elsewhere we saw, he has feet like a pillar of fire.

And his voice as the sound of many waters.

Yes, the same way, you know, crying like a lion, sound of many waters, very, very loud voice, like when he speaks, it's like multitudes are talking, yes?

And he had in his right hand 7 stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp, thick sword, and his countenance was as the sun shining in the sky.

So those 3, face like the sun, feet like pillars of fire, cries like a lion.

In the book of Exodus chapter 14, there was, remember when Israel was exiting from Egypt, there was something that was following them by day and by night.

Things Old and New

When the people of God went through a time of tribulation, when the people of God went through a time of persecution.

But we know that this period did not conclude at exactly, I mean, the persecution did not exactly end at 1798.

Unless those days shall be shortened, right?

So just before 1798, the tribulation happened.

And so The people studying this time, they're like, oh, wait.

Christ told us just before he comes, there will be a tribulation.

The dark day, when the sun was darkened, on May 19, 1780, The sun became so dark, people said that they could feel the darkness.

It's as though you could actually stretch your hand out and feel the darkness.

And it is Christ giving them the events, you know, that's like, these are the events of my coming.

So the Millerite movement, the people are in the early 1800s, they are studying and they are saying, wait, the tribulation just concluded, and wait, May 19th, May 1917, 18, the sun has just been darkened, And you know what happened on May 20, 1780?

Then the next event happens, and the stars shall fall from heaven.

When we saw the stars falling from heaven as showers and everyone thought this is indeed the last day of the earth We are given a record of The president of the United States.

Lincoln we are given the record of Lincoln who actually beheld the stars falling from heaven, and he was shaken.

And everyone said, oh my goodness, I think Christ is just about to come.

So the events of Matthew 24, 29 to 30, at the time of the end, were being fulfilled.

So the whole movement said, I think then Christ is just about to come.

And they went out sounding the message, prepare ye, Prepare ye as a bride to meet your Lord.

That's what we considered yesterday, 2300 days.

The event that was to take place, someone says the event that was to take place, good.

Christ says I'm going to come and before I come these are the events that will take place but there's something that they forgot.

I give it to you the book of Revelation chapter 22 verse 12, that before he comes there must be a judgment.

So before he gives a reward a judgment must take place That's what he forgot Christ is not just going to appear No Before he appears there must be a judgment that takes place the book of Revelation chapter 14 verse 7 says that the hour of his judgment is now.

They forgot that there was a judgment that was to take place before he comes.

So let us turn to the book of Revelation chapter 10.

Revelation chapter 10, the prophetic message of the founding of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

What we read yesterday when Christ stood and prophesied and he said, time shall be no longer, and he gave them the little book which they ate.

When they put it in their mouth, it was so sweet, but when it got to their stomachs, it was so bitter.

Because they were disappointed when Christ did not appear in 1844.

They forgot about the judgment and so he tells them something.

Someone to read with me Revelation chapter 10.

Someone to read for us Revelation 10 verse 10 and 11.

I took the little book out of the angel's hand and I ate it.

As soon as I ate it, the belly was bitter.

And then Christ said, remember this is Jesus speaking.

I'm telling you this is not a mere angel.

Remember, by the way, by this time they had already sounded a particular message.

They had already sounded the first angel's message.

They had also sounded the second angel's message.

Remember Ellen White and her family were thrown away from their churches.

Yes, they had already sounded even the second angel's message.

They were just waiting for the coming of Christ.

And then Christ tells them, something more.

Before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.

And yesterday we explained that Revelation chapter 10 and Revelation chapter 11, really the demarcation of chapters, remember it was done by human beings, okay?

When the authors were writing this, it was not demarcated as such.

So the book of Revelation chapter 11 verse 1 belongs to the same part of verse chapter 10.

The Bible says, ah so this is the particular message they must also, this forms part of the message or the prophecy they must give out.
