Stress Relief & the 3rd Angel

I want to get into the message proper now and I want to talk about something that I've been talking about a lot recently and it's the topic of stress relief.

Is that stress going to go up or down as we get closer to the end?

But here's a beautiful thing Jesus has given us a way out.

But I want to talk about the stress Relief Prayer and its association to our end time message, the 3 Angels Messages, specifically the Third Angels Message.

I want to share with you a spirit of prophecy quote that has confused me for about 2 decades.

It's from the book Evangelism, page 190, and it says, Several have written to me, they're writing to Sister White, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is the third angel's message.

I have answered, it is the third angel's message in verity.

And she also says that righteousness by faith is associated with the third angel's message.

The loud cry of the third angel has begun in the revelation of the righteousness of Christ.

So she associates justification by faith, righteousness by faith with the third angels messages.

Now, that has never made sense to me because have you ever read the third angels message?

The third 1, It's people are going to receive the mark of the beast and they're toast, right?

And I'm like righteousness by faith and verity, justification by faith and verity.

I'm having a hard time making that connection.

But God recently through the study helped me to understand that.

Let's go in our Bibles, open your Bibles to Revelation chapter 14 and verse 9, And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink what?

The wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture, that means it's not watered down, into the cup of his indignation, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

Here they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." And as I read through that, you know, I've read that so many times, I thought, righteousness by faith, justification by faith, having a hard time seeing it.

But then I realized, as I did this study on stress relief that it's there by implication.

Because when we studied stress relief, we found that Jesus said, come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

And that rest we also see is associated with the fourth commandment Because after Jesus created 6 days, what did he do on the seventh day?

He rested and he asked us to rest in that example We're gonna see I have a whole message just on the Sabbath in connection with this and you will, it transformed my view of how I've looked at the Sabbath.

I've never looked at it at the same and I've been sharing this information for 20 years.

But there's something very key about the experience of the people who received the mark of the beast.

And it says the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever.

They have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image and whoever receives the mark of his name.

You know what people who are going to receive them the mark of the beast don't have?

They have an experience of chronic stress.

Now I understand how it's righteousness by faith.

Those who receive the mark of the beast, and then in verse 12 it ends with this group that keep the commandments of God and have the faith with Jesus.

Which we know that group receives the seal of God.

Now, if those who have the mark of the beast don't have rest, there's this other group that's contrasted with them.

What does that say about the group that does keep the commandments and does not have the mark of the beast.

And when you understand that the experience of spiritual rest is just a vacation by faith and righteousness by faith, say, ah, now there it is.

Now I understand what Sister White was talking about.

In verse 12 it presents that at the end of time God is going to have a people that in the most difficult tribulation they still have spiritual rest.

They're able to rest in God in these in the most turbulent times And that's what God's end time church is going to have.

The last day church is going to need a strong stress relief system.

As we think about the events of the last days, they're gonna need to know how to offload that stuff, how to offload the stress in their life.

And you know when God wants us to start practicing?

Right now, right now, when things are, we do have stress, but they're not as bad as they will be.

Now here is, as I realize this, I realized something really ironic.

If you are living a life of chronic stress, you're actually living a similar lifestyle as those who will eventually receive the Mark of the Beast.

And you know what many of us are doing it under what name?

The people who observe the fourth commandment.

And it's ironic, so many of us who live under that profession, that name, and yet in our daily lives we're actually living out the experience of those who are eventually going to get marked for destruction, who will receive the mark of the beast.

And so I want to share with you, We're going to do a little recap and I want to share with you 4 practical tips of stress relief.

I want to get very practical this presentation and give you something to hopefully tangibly walk away with to help you.

Now in our last presentation, which was about a month ago, so I don't expect you to remember most of this, but we talked about how to live a lifestyle of rest, and we went through that passage where Paul says you need to take every thought who remembers captive to the obedience of Jesus.

So you take those thoughts and you make them obey Jesus.

We also looked into the fact that in order to do that you need a strong mind, you need a strong frontal lobe, and it makes sense why we have this health message, why we say, you know what, stay away from alcohol, stay away from drugs, stay away from entertainment style television, stay away from pornography.

All those things are scientifically proven to damage your frontal lobe and you need a strong frontal lobe in order to enter into rest.

And we saw how with the commandment, does the fourth commandment, it speaks about rest, but does it also speak about work?

So you have to labor 6 days before you can rest a seventh day, right?

So there's physical labor before you can enter spiritual or physical rest.

The same thing we saw is true spiritually.

There's a spiritual labor you must do before you can enter into a spiritual rest.

And what was that spiritual labor that we do?

It was keeping your mind centered on Christ and preserving the health of your brain, your frontal lobe.

By the way, it also includes getting good sleep.

We talked about having a daily devotional life.

These are all the labors that we do to enter into that rest.

They make our mind capable of going through the process of stress relief.

Now I want to cinch in on that a little bit.

I want to talk to you about prayer and share with you some strategies that help in prayer.

I want to talk about your imagination and prayer.
