Good morning. Oh, there we go. Good. Did any of you read? First Kings 19 did any of you read it in preparation for this morning?

I see some hands and some of you of course weren't here yesterday morning So you didn't have a fair chance, but I invite you to look around and everybody needs a partner So look around this is not partners for life. Do not worry. But everybody needs a friend. So look around and team up with somebody. Okay.

If someone's sitting by themselves, invite them to come and sit with you. I'll give you just a moment. Now, in all your stories of healing, because Amen is celebrating all the ministry of healing, right? That physicians get to be a part of, and nurses, and all kinds of medical personnel, and their spouses. I invite you to turn to the person next to you and ask this question.

In all the different healing stories that you have seen as a part of your life, which 1 makes you most in awe of our Father God, the Master Healer. You have to tell your story super fast. You can take all the time in the world as long as this 1 minute or less, starting right now. Go. Okay?

So turn to someone next to you. Ask them. The healing power of Jesus, the story. If we can have 2 roving mics available okay we have 1 here do we have someone over here thank you so much if you can tell a super short story in 15 seconds or so something Sometime where you saw God just heal somebody of something super fast, please raise your hand. Who can tell a quick story?

Right back here, there's a hand up. And on this side, if someone can be ready. I'll go to this side next. When have you seen the healing power of Jesus? Hi, I'm Daphne Robert.

I'm a podiatrist and I had a patient came in. He had a wound on his big toe. He's diabetic and he's had a podiatrist, he's been following for months, almost 6 months and he came to me and he said I don't know what to do anymore I've had this for a long time and I'm worried I might lose my foot. And I told him, I'm going to try something. And I prayed to the Lord in my heart.

I said, please Lord, guide my hand, show me what to do because he's tried everything. And I tried something new. And within a week, the skin started to close. I said try this another week every week will follow up. Within 2 weeks he was healed.

Praise God! After 6 months. So I give God the glory because I myself didn't know and he gave me the idea what to try New and it worked. Hey, man, thank God the glory. Thank you for sharing and if it makes anybody curious you'll have to ask her about that afterwards.

Is there 1 person on this side, somebody they can just share something that God did, helped you do to see healing with anybody? Anybody else? Going once, twice, 1 more Right here. You're always talking about fresh bread that just occurred Thursday. I had the procedures to do.

I'm a gastroenterologist. I had a man who had a very poor heart condition, so bad that we thought He was too ill to have an endoscopy, but he was actively bleeding from having to be on anticoagulation because of his heart disease, DVT, and that type of thing. We had to do it. We went ahead, looked in there. There was a big clot overlying a blood vessel that he had been bleeding from.

So we decided to apply clips. First 1 deployed incorrectly. Third, second 1 didn't go in the right place. Third 1, we got right on it, got out and we're praising the Lord. The man survived.

That just happened Thursday. Amen. Praise God. Thank you for sharing. 1 final 1 right here.

So this happened in April of this year when I went on a prayer walking trip with Jesus for Asia in Japan. 1 of our team members had right lower quadrant pain pretty severe right before we were going to go out prayer walking and he was a young fellow and As a nurse practitioner, I was like, well this might be in an acute appendicitis attack Well the rest of our group we were like, but we're just going out to prayer walk. This is an attack from the devil. So we laid our hands on him and prayed healing over him and immediately he was 90% better. And he had a choice to make whether he was going to stay behind and nurse his wounds to see if the prayer worked or to get up and walk in faith and go with us and he got up and walked in faith and he said with each step that he took he got to a hundred percent healing Wow praise the Lord can we say praise God he is good his mercy endures forever do you have Bibles with you and some short some some shape okay then let's open our Bibles to first Kings chapter 19 if you're here yesterday morning we zeroed in on Elijah not up on the mountaintop calling for fire from heaven, but when he ran the wrong way, right?

Hundreds of miles the wrong way. He was in a dark time in his life, a discouraging time in his life, and the bottom line was, who ran with him? God ran with him. And So that was the the punchline of yesterday if you're going through a discouraging time Just remember that God still loves you and he still runs with you I love that story and I'm glad it's there. Not just the high point of his life, but the lowest point.

But we're still in that point in the story. In verses 9 all the way down through verse 16, would you please turn to someone next to you at maximum 3, so twos or threes, would you read again 1 Kings 19, 9, through all the way down to 16, and just read it rapidly, And then turn to each other and ask this 1 question. Where do you see Jesus in this? Because you know, Jesus is the highlight, not just in the New Testament, but from Genesis to Revelation. Would you agree?

Like, it's about him. So when you see the Lord in there, Think of Jesus Christ himself. Where do you see Jesus in this part of the story? So go right to it. Let's see what we can discover.

I'm going to give you 30 more seconds. If our people with the roving mics can be ready, We'll take just 2 responses this morning on the Sabbath morning of how do we see Jesus in this part of the story? There's anybody willing to answer that just in a line or 2 just raise your hand We have somebody with a mic over here and someone over on this side Anybody on this side? How do you see Jesus in this story is he there any response or is it too early going once going twice okay don't worry, you can be peaceful now. My friends, he starts out with a question.

What? What are you doing here, Elijah? Was that a nasty question? It was the most tender question. What are you doing here, Elijah?

He'd been watching him all the way along, not just watching, but he had been running with him, right? Even when he's running the wrong way now he sees us this prophet running all the way up to him in the mountain what are you doing here Elijah and how does he respond he gives a long list of what would we call it today excuses you know I'm only 1 he setters and stammers and this is wrong and this is wrong and and basically he's condemning who? God like where were you? And He says go stand out by the mountain and all these things go by right fire and wind and earthquake and all these things and it's only when that still small voice comes that Elijah does this right he takes his mantle and he puts it over his head and he comes out with reverence I want to ask you on the Sabbath morning are you going slow enough with Jesus that you have time to hear that still small voice because sometimes we run so fast in pastoral or in missionary ministry or in medical ministry and I hope they all are combined but we can go so fast my friends that we go faster than that still small voice can be heard.

We move quick quick quick here and there caring for many people do we not but are we taking time for him to care for us? Something happened in that encounter Because we know that after he asked him again. What are you doing here Elijah? Elijah answers in such a same way he goes to the same list like in just in case if you're not remembering God and it's really condemnatory of God isn't it it's like a not a nice thing to say if you think about the context and God responds by telling him to go anoint 3 people the last of which is Elisha when I was young reading that I used to think wow he's kind of giving him the boot saying go find your replacement you messed up but the more I read that I see the grace of Jesus for him he's saying only now when you understand brokenness and heartache and disappointment now is your best time to find your Elisha because now you know how to come alongside of him. Wow.

But many of us are going to our grave in this prophetic movement with our gifts and talents and experiences with God. And we are not investing in our Elisha. And tomorrow morning will be about that. Investing in our Elisha. Every 1 of us should be crying out to God in these last days, who is our Elisha?

And we should know that the disappointments that we have been to God, have we been disappointments to God sometimes? Yes. But does He love us? Yes. We should know that the brokenness that we have actually prepares us to pour into a younger person and to have grace for them.

What do you say? There's 1 thing that April, April's my wife, April and I find in calling for revival all over the planet whether it's a little school University campus or whatever and it's bitterness in our heart Towards others in the church that have hurt us and wronged us It keeps us from healing and it keeps us from coming alongside the new generation and helping them find healing. And so this is not a program to me in this morning. We're here on this beautiful Sabbath day and Sabbath is the most favorite day of Jesus to heal. And so I ask in Jesus name as Mark gets up to sing, change my heart, oh God.

First of all, who are men and women in this room that know the pain of bitterness and hurt and disappointment like Elijah did, But you also know the healing power of Jesus that he gave you power to forgive the unforgivable Love the love the unlovable if there's anybody in that category that has been hurt very badly Knows bitterness knows anger Maybe even hatred whatever but you know the healing power of Jesus you've experienced that then I need some assistance If you just come up and stand beside me, you're not talking about how righteous you are You're saying look what God has done. He's had mercy on me If there's anybody like that that knows that I know I've had to have the healing power Jesus in my heart multiple times times when bitterness took over and actually came very close to stealing my joy in Jesus permanently but Jesus had mercy on me with Ezekiel 36 and he gave me a new heart and he cut out what needed to be cut out. He did heart surgery on me. So has anyone in this room experienced that heart surgery from Jesus? You know personally if you do come on up I need some help.

Any men and women in this room that know the power of Jesus Christ to give heart surgery. You've seen him do it in your own life. If you can just spread out across here. Why do I ask this? I'll tell you why.

Because there may be, there may be some here this morning that are going through very very difficult times right now where someone has wronged you someone has hurt you and you're suffering when I have that happen especially when it's in the house of God you know what I'm saying it hurts me the most does that make sense because it's people I trusted look this is not going to be a professional prayer for this by a pastor who loves calling for revival. This is, This is brothers and sisters in Christ. If there's anybody out here That's moved in your heart that you've come into this room You've come to amen with a heavy heart and you need someone to pray with you that Ezekiel 36 26 and 27 Would be yours today that he would give you a new heart that he would cut out any any stony places in your heart and give you a new heart I invite you just to come right now God loves to do that he's had mercy on me multiple times on this matter how about for you has he done it for you as well Has he done it for you as well?

Has he done it for you? Who? Who knows that the Spirit of God is calling you to have that? Why why leave amen tomorrow the same way? Is there anyone here that's that's that is hurting and need that Just come on up and then maybe a group can just surround you, lay hands on your shoulders and pray for you.

Anyone else? Anyone else? This is not anything to be embarrassed about. This is something we all need at 1 time or another. If there's anybody else, just come.

I'd like to just invite you to gather around him and support him in prayer. Okay, if there's anybody else here, come up to anybody up here standing and just surround them with prayer right now. Let's do that right now as we close. If there's anybody else here, just come up to somebody up here. Amen.

Let's pray. Dear God in heaven, make us all ambassadors for the healing power of Jesus Christ today. Many, many people came up here saying, I'm 1 of those ones that God gave a heart surgery to and changed my heart around for the glory of God. Lord let All of us be used of you today to help somebody find that sweet peace in Jesus why in the Sabbath tonight with a heavy heart change our heart Oh God and bless us we pray in Jesus name Amen read 2nd Kings chapter 2 and prep for tomorrow morning and have a happy Sabbath. Word of God.
