The Everlasting Gospel

Father in heaven, we thank you again for your word, which is our only safety, our only safeguard.

It shows us what's coming, what we need to do.

And we pray that as we study it this morning, Lord, you would send the Holy Spirit to be here, to speak to each of our hearts, make things simple and clear, guide my thoughts, my words, and guide every ear that listens that we would get exactly the message you would have for us.

We thank you and we pray this in Jesus' name.

Turn in your Bibles with me to Revelation chapter 14.

Revelation Chapter 14, this was our scripture reading, starting with verse 6.

This is a super important passage if we want to understand the remnant, God's end time church.

This is 1 of the key identifying passages, actually.

Boyd mentioned this last week, if I recall correctly.

And it describes a people with a specific message at the very end of time, going to every nation, kindred, tongue and people.

It's not going to be some little obscure group in some little corner of the world or an individual here or an individual here.

We're talking about a worldwide global movement that's taking the gospel to every corner of the globe.

And we know that the details of that message, it tells us we're starting with verse 7.

This first angel, we call this the 3 angels messages, the first angel's message, fear God, give glory to him, For the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaven and earth the sea and the fountains of waters.

And by the way, I'm not going to talk about it this morning.

I had planned to do something different to get ready for this afternoon's meeting.

But I will be talking about God as creator this afternoon.

God created this world and we need to acknowledge him as creator here at the end of time.

The Bible is telling us that this is going to be a critical test.

People are going to be wondering, does the Bible indeed tell the truth when it says that God created this world.

And we're going to look at the evidence for that this afternoon.

How science flunks, how evolution flunks the science test.

But there's another message, Not just this first angel.

There followed another angel saying in verse 8, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city.

She's made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of fornication.

Here's another warning about a false church giving a false message at the end of time.

Confusing what the Bible teaches, distorting the Bible message.

And then a third angel comes alongside these first 2, the third angel in verse 9, third angel followed them, saying also with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead and in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.

This is the most solemn warning, perhaps anywhere in the entire Bible, a grave warning.

A great test is coming to the entire world.

Every person is going to have to make a stand either for or against God's in the mark of the beast.

And so for 180 years now, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has been preaching this message, warning the world, trying to tell the whole world we need to get serious about the judgment.

The judgment is in the land, amen, right now.

We can see evidence that we're in a time of judgment in this world.

We've been trying to call people back to worshiping the creator.

We cannot get caught up with this idea that we evolved, we're here by accident, or we came from monkeys or something like that.

We need to warn the world that there are deceptions about what the Bible teaches that are popular in many churches today.

Some people say it doesn't matter what day you go to worship on.

When the Bible is clear, it should be the seventh day.

The Bible, some people say, oh, you don't need to keep the law that was done away with.

It was nailed to the cross when in fact the law of God is the standard of right and wrong.

Some people have confused idea about what happens when you die or about what happens in hell.

And, you know, people think you burn forever and ever or you go straight to heaven when you there's all kinds of confused ideas out there.

Some people have even more confused ideas.

You think you come back as some kind of animal or something.

So many deceptions and many deceptions about what the second coming is going to be like.

We need to understand what the second coming is going to be like or we could be deceived like much of this world will be, I'm afraid.

And then, of course, we've been also warning the world that a terrible time of test is coming when every person is going to be called to stand for the truth, stand for what's right, Stand for God, stand for His law, His commandments, His principles, or go along with the world and it's going to be a life or death conflict, this question of the mark of the beast or the seal of God.

And we have to make sure we refuse the enemy's counterfeit when it comes to this question.

This is a very specific doctrinal and prophetic message here in Revelation 14, and as Brother Boyd pointed out, I do remember this part, there is no other church in the world that is preaching these messages anywhere.

In fact, there's no other church in the world that even understands these messages.

No 1 else, no other church I know of, understands these messages, much less is preaching them everywhere in every corner of the globe except for our church.

And the fact that it happens to be the same church that arose in the right place at the right time, you know, with the right characteristics, the right identifying marks, that it's the same church that's preaching that message, that is not an accident or a coincidence.

We're going to go over these messages in detail when we get to October.

Can't wait for Pastor Long to get here and do this prophecy seminar, review these things that we've studied, we've talked about so many times, you'll get a chance to go deeper into these messages in October.

By the way, does anyone know what the start date is?

And by the way, let me just say 1 other thing.

Pastor Wyatt and Jenny and their family, they're going to Arkansas leaving this week, tomorrow or something like that, to do the same thing down in Arkansas.

They're doing this exact work that we're going to be trying to do here in October.

This message has to get out to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

What I want to do today is take a little bit different approach.

I'm sure many of you have studied these verses before, and I'd like to suggest that these verses also give us some insight into the work that we have to do as God's remnant church.

If we look a little more deeply, we can glean some insights about what we can do to cooperate with God in these last days to help prepare a people for the return of Christ.

Because if you think about it, these messages are not just information, they're giving us warnings about very real problems in the world, very serious, grave problems in the world.

And our work is to help counteract or oppose or minister to these problem areas.

Now it just gives us a clue what things are happening in the world and what we can do to help oppose that.

The first angel's message is warning us, telling us, that at the end of time, there's going to be no fear of God in this world.
