I want to share with you 3 secrets from the book of Revelation.

Secrets that explain the moment we're living in, and why this moment matters eternally.

These are not secrets meant to be hidden.

And once understood, they change how we live, how we hope, how we choose.

Most people do not wake up in the morning thinking the world might be nearing the edge of collapse.

We assume tomorrow will come much like today.

Yet beneath the surface of everyday life, there is a growing uneasiness, a quiet awareness that something is not right.

That the world feels fragile in ways it did not before.

We see it in the way trust is eroding, in how easily truth is questioned, and how quickly lies spread, in how fear travels faster than reason through the screens we carry every day.

People sense that forces larger than themselves are shaping the world, not always through violence or war, but through influence, deception, and division.

It's why so many feel manipulated, yet struggle to explain by whom.

And whether people call it corruption, confusion, or simply the times we live in, the uneasiness remains.

The Bible warns that in the last days, deception would become so widespread that few would recognize it for what it is.

In January of 2026, a group of nuclear scientists made a decision that barely made the evening news.

They moved what is known as the Doomsday Clock to 85 seconds before midnight.

That clock represents humanity's own assessment of how close we are to self-destruction.

But because the margin for error has nearly disappeared.

The scientists who maintain that clock are not prophets.

And what they quietly are saying is this.

Human beings have learned how to split the atom, but we have not learned how to heal the human heart.

We've mastered technology, but we've not mastered selfishness, pride, or hatred.

Long before scientists built a clock to measure humanity's fear, God revealed a prophetic message to explain history's direction.

The book of Revelation is not a book of panic.

It does not exist to frighten God's people.

Revelation reveals truths about our world that cannot be discovered in a laboratory.

Truths that explain why destruction has not yet come, why conflict is intensifying, and how history will actually end.

For behold the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes all who do wickedly, will be stubble.

And the day which is coming shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that will leave them neither root nor branch.

When we look at our world today, It often feels as though everything is spinning out of control.

It's easy to assume that destruction is inevitable.

That the forces we've unleashed cannot be restrained.

But the book of Revelation reveals something most people never consider.

Revelation chapter 7 begins with a remarkable scene.

The Apostle John writes, after these things, I saw 4 angels standing at the 4 corners of the earth, holding the 4 winds of the earth.

In the language of the Bible, winds represent strife, turmoil, destruction.

They represent forces that can annihilate cities.

John sees angels holding back those winds, not releasing them, not accelerating them, but restraining them.

Then John sees another angel, verse 2, and he says that this angel ascends from the east, carrying the seal of the living God.

That angel cries out with a loud voice, ìDo not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, till weíve sealed the servants of God in their foreheads.î This is 1 of the most hope-filled declarations in all of scripture.

God is not indifferent to human suffering.

The ceiling represents a settled decision for Christ, A people who've chosen loyalty to God in heart and mind.

God delays judgment because he desires commitment, not compliance.

Second Peter chapter 3 verse 9 says, the Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Nuclear scientists ask, when will the next war begin?

Heaven asks, who will choose Christ today?

The winds are held back so the gospel can go forward, so truth can be proclaimed, so decisions can be made.

This tells us something important about our time.

The restraint of judgment is not weakness.

And it places responsibility on God's people.

If angels are holding back the winds, then the proclamation of truth matters more than ever.

The church does not exist to merely survive history.

It exists to finish God's work in history.

The question is not whether the winds will eventually be released.

The question is this, will we be ready when they are?

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of the wickedness in the heavenly places.

When people talk about danger, the danger facing our world, they usually point to nations, weapons, or ideologies.

But Revelation tells us that what we see on the surface is not the deepest reality.

There is a conflict between every conflict, a war behind every war.

It shows us what no telescope can see and what no microscope can measure.

Verse 7 says, "'And war broke out in heaven.' This war did not begin on earth.

The verse continues, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought.

Verse 9 continues, so that great dragon is cast out, that serpent of old called the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world.
