Can you just indulge me in another word of prayer?

We just bow our heads and ask the Lord to especially bless us.

Father in heaven, Lord, I just wanna ask and pray that you again, please bring your Holy Spirit here.

Lord, there are people in here who are single and they don't want to be.

And I ask that according to your will, you would use this information to bless them, to help them to find your purpose for them in their lives, that they would form godly marriages that would glorify you and help bring and usher in your beautiful second coming, the ultimate marriage.

All right, 5 behaviors keeping you single.

If you missed the first 2 parts, I would highly recommend you listen to those because it builds, the concepts build on each other.

And I just want to say there's so much of Dr.

Cloud's information that is very helpful and I love.

I've been sharing that book and I thought I should mention something about it.

I actually don't subscribe to 100% of his concepts in that book personally.

And what I just recommend, and this is what everyone needs to do.

When you read studies, When you read books, you have to have your biblical spirit of prophecy filter on.

And you just have to filter everything through how you see God leading your life, the information that we have through direct inspiration.

And so I do appreciate a lot of his content.

Not 100% of everything I can subscribe to, and you need to use your own filter with that.

Also, he talks, he's really big on going out, going on dates, just cold approaching people to start breaking the ice just to meet people.

And something that should be also mentioned is, if you're female, there might be a safety concern for you to think about.

You know, use your common sense, don't get in the cars with strange guys and drive to places and so forth.

This is just to, This is just to start getting yourself outside of your box and opening your heart to start addressing issues that God needs to get into in order to make you ready.

All right, with that being said, 5 behaviors keeping you single.

Wore my red tie just for you, so we're gonna have a nice romantic weekend here.

Premise number 1 of everything I'm talking about is number 1, God is a nice person.

Do you believe that God wants you to be happy?

That's important because sometimes when people get stuck in singleness for a long time, it could start to slowly kind of grind down that confidence that you know, maybe that's for other people.

He just doesn't want that happiness for me.

I also think that God is pro-marriage and there are many objections that people have brought to me saying, you know, maybe not so much because of the last days, because of, you know, things that Paul says.

You'll have to hear presentation number 1.

Marriage was God's idea, and if marriages can glorify him, if we could do more as a couple, if we could love Jesus better as a couple, why would God keep those 2 people apart?

And third premise is the reason why so many singles are singles because most singles are unconsciously contributing to their singleness by having extreme views of how God introduces people to their future spouse.

I shared views number 1 and 2 in the previous presentations, And I wanna share more about what those 2 views are.

But the first ones, for those of you that weren't here, is extreme view number 1, it's all up to me.

I do nothing, I stay in my same traffic pattern, I go to the same job, I go to the same church, I do the same things, and God's gonna plop them on my lap.

And we see that once in a while that works out for someone, but for most of us, that program doesn't work.

And we have to be more proactive, we have to get out and do stuff.

This morning, 9 a.m., we addressed, it's all up to me.

And that is, there's lots of activity, but a lack of surrender.

A lot of activity, but coming from a non-healed state, and that just creates a lot of messes.

And so, you'd have to hear this first 2 presentations.

I wanna give you some golden biblical dating principles.

Isaiah chapter 32, verse 20, says, "'Blessed are ye that sow beside, " how many waters?

And another verse that is akin to it, Ecclesiastes 11, verse 6, "'In the morning sow thy seed, "'and in the evening withhold not thy hand, for thou knowest not whether shall prosper either this or that, or whether they both shall be good alike.

And In these 2 verses, there are golden dating principles that we're going to build off of in this presentation.

And it's a neglect of these principles that keeps people single longer than I believe God wants them to be.

And the fact is, most of us, we're gonna see, have beliefs that are contrary to the principles brought out in these 2 Bible verses.

And we're gonna go over 5 behaviors, 5 beliefs that are keeping a lot of people single longer than God wants them to be.

Just receive whatever the Lord has to give you, bring an open mind, bring an open heart.

You know, so I was involved in this conversation and this gentleman was speaking with this young lady and he was talking to her about a guy that was showing interest in her and he says, hey what do you think about XYZ guy?

And she said, you know he seems nice, he's cute, but he's just not my type.

Have you ever been the 1 who said that before?

Well, we're gonna go over some interesting things.

It could be okay, it could be innocuous, but I would like to share, I think a lot of the time it's not.

Let me share a story of this lady Wendy who was seeing a dating coach and Wendy really loved the muscular type.

And if the guy wasn't that way, it just didn't do anything for her.

And a friend convinced her to go out with a non-muscular type guy.
