Father in heaven, Lord we have just shared a few testimonies of your goodness.

We are here to worship you in spirit and in truth.

For without your spirit and without the truth of your word and Jesus Christ we cannot do anything.

Father in heaven we pray that as branches we can be connected to Jesus the vine and we will therefore produce fruit.

So Lord as we embark together on this journey to reach the community for you, dear Lord, the Warren community and around about we pray and lift up the youth rush young people, Lord.

Lord, we thank you for their energy and for their zeal.

But Lord, you can give that energy and that zeal to any 1 of us.

Lord, we're always young and powerful in your sight.

Your word tells us that you have blessed us.

You have come to whoever believes, he will give power to become the son or daughter of God.

We're covenanting together to do your work, to be about your business, and to ask you, Lord, for these openings and these opportunities around us every day.

So I'm starting a series on the book of Acts.

It's written by Luke and the doctor, and he was accompanying Paul and the other disciples around as the disciples received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

So that is what I'll be planning to share with you throughout the weeks that I'm here.

Now I apologize that I've come and I've been away.

This is what happens when, you know, pastor transitions just before camp meeting.

And now next there is going to be the general conference as well.

And then we do have a week of vacation so The conference tells us after camp meeting make sure you take a couple of days off I haven't done that yet, so we will be doing that later, but the series on the book of Acts So this would be part 1 And really if you notice it's following on from my first sermon about the Church of God and what God is calling us to do in the community.

Are you asking the Lord, Lord, what is it that you want me to do to engage in the ministry that you have here in this community?

Please be asking the Lord what you can do for him.

You know, 1 of my favorite pastimes is to go through the book, Maranatha, and it is an amazing book written by Ellen G.

You can see when she was born there, when she died, But you know Ellen White is the most translated author in the world.

So I just want to share with you the reading for March, March the first, in the book Maranatha, The Lord is Coming by Ellen White.

It's an amazing little introduction that I'll use for the message.

And as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Friends, the Bible tells us that God is going to come and put an end to sin and suffering and sickness and death in this world.

And there is a time now that God is giving everybody grace and a warning time.

So March 1st, The reading goes, The prophecies which the great I AM has given in His Word, uniting link after link in the chain of events, from eternity in the past to eternity in the future, tell us where we are today in the procession of the ages and what may be expected in the time to come.

Until the present time has been traced on the pages of history, and we may be assured that all which is yet to come will be fulfilled in its order." What that is saying is that God's word has said it, it will come to pass.

Even though it may seem like it is delaying, God's word cannot be broken.

God said in the beginning, let there be light, and there was light.

He didn't have to take any evolutionary time or effort or energy.

Friends, take that into your Christian experience.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Just continuing on today, the signs of the what?

The signs of the times declare that we are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events.

Before our eyes is fulfilling the Savior's prophecy of the events to precede His coming.

You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars.

Nations shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places.

The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living.

You know, many people are wondering what is going on in the world.

And friends, the Word of God has the answer.

Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us.

They are watching the relations that exist among the nations.

They observe the Intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element They recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place that the world is on the verge of a Stupendous crisis I praise God for a reprieve I praise God that that we're not in the middle of some earthquake But some people are I praise God that we're not in the middle of some earthquake, but some people are.

I praise God that we're not in some landslide that happened in Switzerland.

Praise God that there was warning and the people were able to be evacuated.

But friends, people are looking around, and friends, we shouldn't use the time of Relative calm that we have just to say oh, it's good now.

Let's just carry on life as normal We need to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and be doing the Lord's work.

The Bible and the Bible only gives a correct view of these things.

There are revealed the great final scenes in the history of the world, the sound of their approach causing the earth to tremble and men's hearts to fail for fear.

Today men and nations are being tested by the plummet in the hand of Him who makes no mistake.

All are by their own choice deciding their destiny And God is overruling all for the accomplishment of His purposes.

Even though The world looks like it's in chaos.

We're on the winning team when we have Jesus as our Savior.

Jesus' presence alone takes away and dispels fear.

There can be no fear where perfect love is present and Jesus is perfect love.
