Building The Ark

I would like to thank God for the opportunity to be here with you all this evening.

And I really want to praise the Lord for that beautiful hymn, Nothing Between.

I believe that we are living in a time where there must be nothing between ourselves and our Savior.

And you're going to find, brothers and sisters, that the more that the Bible and the spirit of prophecy, the more that it unfolds before us, is the more we'll come face to face with ourselves and our lifestyles.

I know last night that many were agitated Because as long as sin stays something that is abstract, almost everybody will respond to it.

I mean, 1 would almost have to be a foolish individual to say that I don't want God to take away my sins.

But the problem is, is that we're living in a generation that sin has become so abstract that it has now become necessary like never before to call sin by its right name.

And once you begin to address eating, drinking, and dressing habits, This is when we discover the idols that are in our hearts.

It is possible that we can come to church and claim to worship the 1 and only true God while we have idols that are in our hearts.

And many a times we don't recognize our idols.

And you know the reason why we don't recognize it?

It's because we suffer with something called Laodicea.

And 1 of the symptoms of Laodicea is blindness.

And therefore God had to send seers, the prophets, and the prophets would be used to help open the eyes of individuals so that they can see those things in our lives that are contrary to the will of God.

But brothers and sisters, let me tell you something.

I've learned to appreciate when God helps me to see things wrong in my character.

Because brothers and sisters I have gotten to a point in my life where I want to please Jesus.

And if there's anything that I am doing that displeases God, I want to know.

And again I equate this thing to marriage because you know we have a marriage between ourselves and Jesus.

Jesus is referred to as that wonderful husbandman and we are the bride and brothers and sisters, we must understand, I know that if I was doing anything that hurt my wife, I wanna know about it.

So that way, by the grace of God, I won't do it anymore.

When you love Jesus, you want to know, what is it in my life that is hurting you, Lord?

When we get to that point that we love Jesus like that, the words of Psalm 139, 23, and 24 will become your words.

You know what it says in Psalm 139, 23, and 24?

Try me, and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Only love will make a person say such a prayer as that.

And my hope and my prayer is that you love Jesus enough that when he rebukes and when he chastens, remember that too is an example of his love.

It is an example of the love of Jesus Christ when we are rebuked and chasing.

And anytime you doubt that I want you to take your Bibles and go right back to Revelation 319 where the Bible says As many as I love.

And last I checked, those words in Revelation 319 are written in red.

And you know what those red letters mean, right?

And it says, As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.

Repentance is actually a message of love.

Tonight, brothers and sisters, we're gonna take a snapshot.

Now, I wanna let you know this in advance before we pray.

Now, when you get a glimpse of something, that means you don't see it in its fullness.

In order to see it in this fullness, you would have to come to the school of the prophets.

In other words, you would have to come to a training school and really get a true picture in a classroom setting where we can go point by point of what constitutes that modern day ark.

But tonight we're gonna get a glimpse of what the word of God calls the ark for these very last days.

And I'm going to present it to you by the grace of God.

And brothers and sisters, I want to let you know right now that it's not enough to just give a message, but if we're really going to see as it was in the days of Noah, we must understand that as Noah gave a message and built an ark, so it is we must give a message and build an ark.

And tonight we are going to look from inspiration to get just a glimpse of what constitutes the ark for these very last moments of Earth's history.

As much as us as are able to, I'm going to invite you to please kneel with me as we go before the Lord and let him speak to our hearts as we speak to him from our hearts.

Father in heaven, I'm convinced that it is not by might nor by power, but only by your spirit that words can be said tonight that can change the heart of mankind.

Father, I am asking that you would please forgive me of my sins.

And Lord, I'm praying that you would please forgive my brothers and sisters of their sins, and that you would please pour out your spirit in this place.

And may he not just be in the building, but we want him in our hearts.

We need a change from within that there may be the proper changes that take place without.

And Lord, we recognize that we are living in the times just like the days of Noah.

And Father, as you gave Noah not just simply a message, but you also told him to build an ark.

Help us to see exactly what it is that you would have us to do in such a time as this in earth's history.

For this is our prayer that we ask, in Jesus' name.

I want you to notice what the Bible says as we consider Hebrews, the 11th chapter.

We're turning to the book of Hebrews, the 11th chapter, and we are considering Noah's Ark that he built.

I want to start with this verse because I believe that it's going to be imperative that we carefully understand what the Word of God says.

The Bible says in Hebrews the 11th chapter, And we are now looking at verse 7.

The Bible says in Hebrews, the 11th chapter and the 7th verse, it says, By faith Noah, being warned of God, of things not seen as yet, moved with fear and prepared, what?

An ark to the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness, which is by faith.

The Bible makes it clear the function of the ark.

We saw last night that Noah was a preacher of righteousness.

So when you're preaching, that's your message.

But now here in Hebrews 11, 7, it says that he moved with fear and prepared or built an ark.

The building is something that you do with your hands.

So while he was preaching with his mouth, he was building with his hands.

Now, the Bible tells us the great purpose of this ark.

The Bible says, what was the purpose of the ark, according to the verse?

So therefore, the first thing we want to understand is that the ark was a place of salvation.

Because he built the ark to the saving of his household.

So therefore, the ark is representative of that which pertains to salvation.

Now let's turn to the book of Acts chapter 4.

We want to make this clear from the beginning.

In the book of Acts, the fourth chapter, let's notice what the Bible says.

Acts chapter 4 now, And let's see what the Bible says to us.

In the book of Acts chapter 4, I want you to see what the Bible says.

We're going to start at verse 10, and then we're going to take it to verse 12.

Understanding that the ark was that which pertains to salvation, then we need to make this clear from the beginning of our study.

The Bible says in Acts chapter 4 in verse 10, if you're there say amen.
