The Sabbath and Atheism

I just want to let you know my voice is failing, so if my voice cracks, don't make fun of me.

I also want to say this isn't my first time canvassing, so my voice, it's kind of going out, it's becoming weak, but I will do my best to speak.

If I mispronounce word, please have mercy upon me.

However, I really believe the better seminar is the next seminar and the 1 after that's even better.

And this isn't a plug for you to stay the entire time, but it is at the same time.

I just want to let you guys know, you guys will be extremely blessed.

I really believe God has led me in this research, and I believe it's gonna be deep, and it's gonna be pivotal in helping us to understand the times we're living in, and how we can best reach people.

Well, I'm going to start with a word of prayer and ask Jesus to bless us with the Holy Spirit.

Father, we just thank you so much for Sabbath.

Lord, and you said something so many years ago in Luke, ought not this woman, being a child of Abraham, whom Satan has been bound for 18 years, be loosed on the Sabbath?

God, you tell us that the Sabbath is a time of healing and it was created as a time of healing and refreshing.

Father in heaven, we pray we would experience that as we jump into the history of the Sabbath and the times we're living in.

Okay, Rohe, can you find the air condition unit and just turn it up or turn it down slightly or up slightly, I should say.

Either way, the air condition working better.

We're gonna be dumping into some scriptures towards the end of it, but I wanna share a lot of history with you, okay?

I don't know how much time this seminar is supposed to be.

The guys that I moved aside, can you guys tell me when it is 315?

As I said before, the name of this presentation is called the Sabbath and atheism.

If you look into the dictionary and the encyclopedia, you'll find so many different definitions about what an atheism is.

Atheism has several different definitions.

Who can give me 1 definition of an atheist?

Anybody else can give me a definition of an atheist?

Okay, It may be because their lack of understanding is why they do not believe in God.

You know, if you actually take a good look at the word, the word in Greek is the word atheos, which means it's the alpha and the word theos, which means essentially no God.

And so there's many definitions about what an atheist is.

I want to say something right now to you guys, ladies and gentlemen.

There are 3 forms of atheism, 3 primary forms of atheism in our world today.

The first 1 is a denial of God's existence, A denial of God's existence.

You have people like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens who actually passed away sometime, I believe last year, who deny the existence of God.

They do not believe God exists, but then you have a second form of atheism.

Ellen White and Food Documentaries

Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer.

Father, we just thank you so much for this time.

And Lord, right now, what is needed is humility.

We just pray and ask that as we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, you would lift us up.

God, please bless us with this beautiful knowledge and wisdom.

God we pray for the wisdom to use it and not just store it away or hide it.

Thank you so much Jesus for your goodness to us.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, the name of this presentation is called Ella White and what food documentaries.

The next presentation is called how to share with evolutionists and philosophers in the classroom.

I'll share some of my own experiences that took place just a few months ago.

Just a few months ago, I'm watching an amazing video too.

As I said before, the name of this presentation is called Ellen White and Food Documentaries.

When you take a good look, ladies and gentlemen, at all the leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, there is 1 leader that stands out.

What is so remarkable about the writings of Ellen G.

White, though this woman was given a vision hundreds of years ago, ladies and gentlemen, those writings have seeded this world for the better.

And Jesus said, by their fruits, you shall know them.

In other words, what comes as a result of those people's writings.

In fact, look what Ellen White herself said in first selected message right here.

Abundant light has been given to our people in these what?

Now before we read the rest, I'm gonna ask you a question.

How many people believe that we're gonna get another prophet right before the second coming of Jesus.

Some of you guys are like, I don't want to say the wrong question.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are told from Joel chapter 2 that God's spirit will be poured out in the last days.

Amen Now the question is will there be a prophet that had the same role in his own white?

I do not believe so In fact, take a good look at what she says right here.

Whether or not my life is spared, my writings will constantly, what?

Speak, and their work will go forward as long as time shall, what?

She told us through prophetic insight that these writings are to be available all the way till the end of what?

That's all the way till the second coming.

And ladies and gentlemen, there's no point in us having a major profit if we're not studying what we already got.

My writings are kept on file in the office and even though I should not live, these words that have been given to me by the Lord will still have life and will still speak to the people.

You know, something interesting is said about Moses.

When a lot of people are trying to understand the prophetic role that Ellen White has.

Something very interesting was said about Moses.

1 day the brother and sister of Moses had a big problem with Moses.

They thought that they could be leaders in the church at that time.

In fact, 1 of the leaders, her name was, or Miriam, her name was Miriam, I should say, she began to talk bad about Moses' wife.

And do you remember what she was struck with?

What's very interesting about leprosy, it was the kind of leprosy that turns somebody white as snow.

Do you know what she was making fun of Moses' wife for?

Because she believed she was just a little too dark for Israel.

And so God cursed Miriam and said, you're gonna be a little too white for Israel now.

What's also very interesting in this, ladies and gentlemen, is that Right after this time, something is said about Moses that there had never been since then, there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.

You find that exact same language talking about this individual, John the Baptist.

Look what the Bible says about John the Baptist.

Assuredly I say to you, among those born of women, there has not what?

John the Baptist was called the messenger of the Lord.

Look what Ellen White says about her writings right here.

Those who boldly assume that they are prophets in this day are often reproached to the cause of Christ.

My work includes much more than this name signifies.

I regard myself as a messenger, entrusted by the Lord with messages for his people.

My commission embraces the work of a prophet, but it does not end there.

Embraces much more than the minds of those who have been sowing seeds of unbelief that can comprehend.

Now I'm going to ask you a question, ladies and gentlemen.

What does Moses, John the Baptist, and Ellen White have in common?

It connected, I guess, dispensations of Christianity.

For example, Moses took people from altars to the sanctuary.

John the baptist took people from The sanctuary on earth to the sanctuary in heaven and ellen white took people from the holy place to the most holy place Very good.

Each 1 of them led a special phase of understanding when it came to the sanctuary.

And guess what, ladies and gentlemen, each 1 of them led a people in preparation for what God was going to do next.

Moses led a group of people out of Egypt.

John the Baptist prepared a bunch of people for Jesus.

And Ellen White, she prepared a lot of people for the second coming of Jesus.

But guess what all those 3 have in common too?

Moses went to the borders of the promised land, but he never entered in.

John the Baptist lived all the way to the beginning of the ministry of Christ, but died before he could see it.

Ellen White preached about the second coming, but she didn't live to the time of the second coming.

Each 1 of these leaders led their people to a great understanding and a great step in the understanding of truth in Jesus.

How to Share with Evolutionists & Philosophers In the Classroom

All right, ladies and gentlemen, why don't we start with a word of prayer?

Father, we just thank you so much for the beautiful messages of health and healing.

Lord, right now we need the greatest of all teachers and preachers, the Holy Spirit.

Father, He is the great educator of truth, and so we pray, God, that you would show us how we can practically reach out to people.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, some of you guys know my testimony.

I was born and raised in Southern California.

My parents come from Punjab, India, and so I grew up in 2 different cultures.

I always like to say that inside my house, It smelled like curry outside, smelled like hamburgers and apple pie.

I also grew up going to secular colleges and universities.

I became an Adventist about 13 years ago.

God really stepped into my life, But it was during my college age that I really begin to really experience God and generally Where you are called out of is the very place God uses you to bring other people out as well So I found this over and over again those times or those moments or those experiences you go through when you were called out of darkness God calls us back in there when we're saved to bring others out as well.

So I have a burden for the college student age That's where I became a seventh-day Adventist.

And so I always have a young adult ministry.

And we're developing some things in the future.

And so oftentimes when you go to college campuses, I'm going to talk about Adventist ones.

I'm talking about secular colleges and campuses, universities.

You will find that that place is generally a, what you may call it intellectual, fort and that you go there and there are many people who are steeped in atheism, steeped in secularism and philosophy and want nothing to do with Christianity or Adventism or anything spiritual.

Many times we think to ourselves, how in the world am I going to reach out to those kinds of people?

Well, I found something very interesting, Something in the writings of Ellen G.

It would be perfectly safe for our youth to enter the colleges of our land if they were converted every day.

It's perfectly safe for you to go into 1 of these secular campuses if you are converted every day.

But if you're not converted every day, you better not be going there.

Because many of these college campuses are just havens for where many people turn away from God.

Where things are criticized to the point where you don't come out believing in anything.

But it is these places that many of the world's young adults being shaped and transformed by philosophy, by naturalism, and by the teachings that come from the throne of Satan himself.

But God doesn't call us to abandon those places and just say, well, that's good for you.

We're going to keep doing evangelistic series.

Now if you may be going to a Bible college or you may be going to an Adventist college, that's perfectly fine.

But ladies and gentlemen, there are those who God has laid a burden on to go out and reach many of these young adults that are trapped in places like that and are learning things that is shaping them for the future.

But God wants us not to abandon them, but he wants us to reach out.

And if you are converted every day, it is perfectly safe for you to go to those colleges.

This is a special burden on my heart and this is something I want to share with you.

Some of the things that God has taught me, I'm going to share with you a video during this presentation.

I'm also going to share my experience when I took a philosophy of science class.

I take a bunch of philosophy classes at the local college.

I'm gonna share with you an experience I had just a few months ago, and the powerful things God did during that time.

If you go there with the right motives and the right heart and just intentions, God will use you in powerful ways.

Everybody take your Bible, go to the book of Acts, Acts chapter 17, Acts chapter 17.

Paul deals with, in Acts chapter 17, a group of philosophers, but we also begin to discover something about philosophy itself.

The word philosophy comes from 2 words, flail and Sophia, which means the love of knowledge.

But it's a cop out for exactly what it is.

Okay, but what's interesting is during Paul's time, Greek philosophy was a prevalent view.

And there were so many different kinds of philosophies that were shaping even Judaism and the Christian world.

Paul entered into the heart of philosophy and he dealt with these philosophers.

Many of these Athenian philosophers want to hear from Paul.

And look what the Bible says, And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus.

Now what's very interesting about this particular place, this is where it starts getting really deep right here.

This was a place where they would have intellectual debates, philosophical speeches.

They would also have, this would be a place where criminals can be tried on court.

Now the word Mars Hills, You read about that word Mars.

The reason why it was called Mars Hill, because it was to be a place of intellectual combat.

And ladies and gentlemen, when you are entering into the colleges of the land, you are entering into intellectual combat.

Now I know there's definitely the heart issue, and that is primary, but I want you to understand that it is a place where you can be tested.

And if you are not consecrated to the Lord Jesus, you will fall.

Let's see how Paul deals with him saying, may we know what is this new doctrine that is of which you speak for you are bringing some strange things to our ears.

Therefore we want to know what these things mean.

Now we begin to understand in verse 21 under inspiration what philosophy does For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or hear some new thing.

Ladies and gentlemen, the purpose of this sort of philosophical debate, this intellectual arena, it really didn't do things to change their hearts.

It was almost this intellectual stimulation that they would have and they would love hearing it, but it didn't do nothing to change them.

And so this was very interesting because what you find in modern philosophy is that it's good for like table talk, but it really does nothing to change the soul.

I have been to so many philosophy classes and I see how much hopelessness is presented to young adults and when they're there, ladies and gentlemen, Let me tell you something.

Now you look at me, I got some gray hair, but I could pass for a young adult pretty well.

And so when I go to college, I wear shorts.

I dress like a college student and I go out to reach out to college students and when I'm there I take classes and I have been to many philosophy classes and let me tell you, much of it is just junk and just these philosophers, even Paul was saying they didn't do anything except sit around and just talk about some new things.
