The Almost Overmastering Delusion

Well, this morning, Daniel and I are going to be sharing together.

We haven't done this for a number of years, so it's good to be back with Daniel and good to be back here.

You know, he said that we haven't been doing this for a number of years.

We actually did an entire series of meetings together.

Chad and I had an idea while we were living in the same vicinity in Illinois.

That's where we presented a series of evangelistic meetings at a church called North Aurora.

Anybody ever been to the North Aurora Church in Illinois?

Okay, Ben you've been about everywhere I think.

Let me see, are there other people there?

Well, that's where we were together and we had a whole series, and in fact, that series is still on AudioVerse.

That was back in the day, and I praise the Lord that Chad was willing to do this again.

So why don't we begin with prayer and we'll be talking about something that I call the almost over mastering delusion.

We've heard about this for many many years as A little couple of paragraphs in an amazing book called the great controversy But we're gonna see something from the Bible today that will help us understand that these things are for real So let's begin with prayer and thank you so much for your time.

Holy Father, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be here in this, your house.

Lord you've invited us, we've accepted your call, We give you praise.

Thank you for teaching and guiding and blessing our thoughts today.

I just ask that you would be here, that you would walk up and down the rows, that you would bless us with your touch, that your angels and your Holy Spirit would be here.

Thank you so much that you can keep this place from distraction, you can help us to think, you can help us to absorb the words of life.

We pray that you would not trust myself or Chad with any words before this people.

We want to hear the Holy Spirit speak to us.

You may have seen a video that's been going around with some people that are quite famous in the world of religion.

The very first time I saw that video, it was during a series of meetings I just presented at the Mentone Church.

I watched it about 2 days later, and I was so affected.

I didn't even wanna go to sleep that night.

I sat down with my family the next morning and said, you have got to understand kids, I've got 2 children, 11 and 8 years old, my wife of course of many years.

So I said, kids, you've got to understand, Jesus Christ is coming soon.

We are seeing the movements at the end, and we're told that they're going to be rapid.

And so I was excited to share that with them, but then also being able to hear some others in the world saying the same thing, it's very exciting.

You know, 1 of the times I was here, Chad, before, I shared something from the book of Revelation 12 and 13.

It's called the, what rather, Godhead vs.

You like the title, I'm glad you like that.

Raise your hands, I was focusing on the guy laughing.

So how many people saw that or were here to hear that?

What we did in that sermon was we looked at the fact that the dragon of Revelation 12 impersonates God the Father.

The first beast of Revelation 13 impersonates Jesus Christ, and the second beast of Revelation 13 impersonates the Holy Spirit.

There are notes up there on 1 of the websites I have, revelationwithdaniel.com.

People do actually laugh at that, Revelation with Daniel.

And so my goal is to present the book of Revelation verse by verse and chapter by chapter in that website.

And this is actually keying off of that presentation.

So Chad, you're joining me with this almost over-mastering delusion, kind of in the same realm of what the Bible says about the Antichrist trying to impersonate Jesus Christ for the sake of deception.

Now, you saw the video, Chad, about Tony Palmer and the Pope and Kenneth Copeland.

There's a real like push and praise about that.

They're excited that unity is being called for.

What are they missing in that call for unity?

You know, in John chapter 4 verse 24, Jesus made a statement and he said that we ought to worship God in 2 different things.

He said we ought to worship God in, does anybody know the first thing?

I mean our hearts should be knitted together, that's very important.

But it says we need to be unified not only in spirit, or we need to worship God in spirit, but also in what?

And 1 of the things that is missing, and even in that context, is the truth isn't necessarily what's important.

Let's just come together and love each other.

We should love every person, every church, every denomination.

But when we are to unify, we need to unify in 2 different things, in the Spirit and in truth.

We need to be Christ-like to everybody, even if they disagree with us.

But the reality is, if we're going to be united, we need to be united in those 2 things.

The truth has to be a part of the spirit, or it's not the true unity that Jesus is calling for in the last days.

And Jesus was praying in John chapter 17 for unity, right?
