How Can I Experience Conversion?

Alright, well happy Sabbath How are we doing today?

We bless we happy we excited the God God has given us another day to live.

I didn't know if I was gonna make it here I was just in Arizona working with Souls West School.

It's a Bible school to your Bible program that they have there.

And I was training our future leaders for canvassing for the summer.

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the co-operating program that our conference runs, but it's called Southeastern California Conference Youth Rush.

How many of you have heard of Youth Rush?

Well we're gonna pass out these flyers at the end at the end of the service so everyone will have a chance to hear about it.

Now let me tell you something, Youth Rush is something amazing, and I say that because I don't think there's any other program that our church has to strengthen our young people than canvassing.

I mean, they're going out 5 days, Sunday through Thursday, every day of the summer, for about 7 hours, and all they're doing is sharing Jesus to people and now it's tough work you got people yelling at you angry with you got dogs chasing you it's just a very hectic stressful life but you know friends those are the moments where you recognize that I need Jesus in my life.

Those are the moments when you recognize I need help.

So listen, if you're young and you have a desire to want to share Jesus or strengthen your walk with God, it's a 10-week program that we have this summer and I hope to see you there.

I also just came back a couple weeks ago from India.

Well, I want to tell you that GLOW is now in India.

They're translated already in the Hindi language.

We have numerous of other dialects already there and I have some stories to tell you from India.

It's a beautiful place, interesting place, hard place if you don't like spicy food.

I don't so it was a quite a struggle for me but I made it.

I remember as soon as I landed to the United States I felt like hugging the guy next to me.

I was just so excited to be able to eat something that wasn't spicy.

But God is good and I'm happy to be here with you all today.

I'm ready to eat something that is not spicy, but it is convicting.

And I'm looking forward to God blessing us this time that we have together.

The sermon title for this morning is called, how do I experience conversion?

If you can, please bow your heads as we pray.

My Father which is in heaven, Father I thank you for the time that we have together.

Many people celebrate, I believe it's Easter Sunday, some day that they will celebrate about you Father and I just, or about your son, and I just want to thank you that we could celebrate you every Sabbath, that we could be thankful for what Jesus has done for us every Sabbath.

Father, there's many people in the church that come day in and day out and don't know what it means to have a living experience with you.

We walk out church the same way we came in, empty, sad, no purpose to live.

Today Father I pray that that may be a change perhaps in many of the people's lives here today.

I pray Lord that we will come out of this place full with your Spirit, desiring to be more like you, and desiring to share you with others.

Please I pray and I humble myself asking that you may speak.

What would you do if you knew you had 1 day to live?

I have a, I don't know if you've ever heard of a man named Larry Carter.

He is, he is in charge of publishing director for the Pacific Union Conference.

He's the 1 that's really pioneered the canvassing work here in the States.

But he says the way he wants to die is to be given a great controversy to someone and then fainting as he falls to the floor.

Alright, so yes, someone said canvassing.

That's how I want to spend my last day of living.

What would you do if you only had 1 day to live?

So if I tried contacting all my family, my day would be well spent.

But praise God, you will spend your time trying to get your, talk to your family.

Do something fun with your friend and family.

Yes, I mean I'm sure we all will do that.

We're not saying it, but I'm sure, Lord if you just give me 1 more year, I promise, Lord, I'll dedicate that year for you.
