How to Know and Share the Three Angels’ Messages

I'm doing my theological studies at the moment.

I'm doing my last year at Newbold College, and I'm having a wonderful time I only have 1 semester left The only giant I need to face right now is my bachelor thesis and then we'll see what will happen.

So I'm so happy to be here with you and guys, we are going to study the 3 angels messages and how to know and basically share it and we are going to study a lot.

We are going to go through Scripture and after 40-45 minutes we are going to take a break and you know so people can stand up and stretch their arms and then we are coming back with part number 2.

But before we study let us begin with a word of prayer and let us ask God to open our eyes so that we can see wondrous things out of His law.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for this awesome and wonderful opportunity to study Your last day message.

And as we are studying it, Father, help us to see it as it is and as you have designed it, so we can share it with other people.

Thank you, Father, that you are going to send the Holy Spirit, and thank you, Father, that you have surrounded us with your holy angels, protecting us.

Lead us, Father, in this study, and be with me.

I personally believe that we are living in fascinating times.

The seeing world events in light of Bible prophecy, you can see the prophetic books of the Bible, the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation clearly being fulfilled right before our very eyes.

Events such as religious unity, political and economical development in the world, to clearly show that Jesus is indeed coming soon.

And I believe that God has in these very last days called the Seventh-day Adventist Church to proclaim a message of hope.

Not a message of doom and gloom or gloom and doom, but a message of hope.

A message of preparation for the whole world and we would call it God's last day message, the 3 angels' messages found in the book of Revelation chapter 14.

Ellen White makes a rather interesting statement.

Seventh-day Adventist have been given the work of the most solemn import, the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels' messages.

There's no other work of so great importance.

They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.

Friends, this is what makes the Seventh-day Adventist Church a unique movement.

Before I became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, I was a professional football player.

But when I understood and when I heard this awesome and amazing message, it's changed my life.

And I have dedicated my life to the spreading of this message and I know you have as well.

But let me pause and ask you, when you hear the term 3 angels messages, what is your reaction?

How do you feel when somebody says the 3 angels messages?

Well there are some people, some Adventists who because of a wrong experience when they came into contact, when they encountered the message, they have a wrong perception of it.

They think the 3 angels messages is all about gloom and doom.

They think it's all about judgment, Babylon, Antichrist, and the mark of the beast and so forth.

And before you stone me, Before you stone me, I do believe that we are supposed to preach these messages, amen?

But we are supposed to preach this message from another angle, from a beautiful perspective.

I don't want you, when you come out of this seminar, I don't want you to go on YouTube and tell all your friends, oh you know I went to this ASI Scandinavia and this guy was holding a seminar on the 3 angels messages and he was saying to all of us, tone down the truth for this time.

I'm not saying this, But what I'm saying is that God's last day message has a beautiful foundation.

It has a beautiful foundation if we are not preaching the 3 angels messages from this perspective, we are not true to the text, we are not true to the message, and we are not true to the calling and the identity God has given us as Seventh-day Adventist Christians.

So if you have your Bible with you, let us go to this text.

In Revelation chapter 14, I know you have read it many times.

Revelation chapter 14 and I'm reading from verse 6.

The Bible says, Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the what?

Everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation tribe tongue and people.

We have now come to the climax of the book of Revelation.

This is the climax point, this is what scholars says that chapters 12 to 14 is the climax point in the book of Revelation.

Chapter 12 deals with the great controversy, the fall and the rebellion in heaven and that controversy has now come down to planet earth and it is going to unfold until the end times.

How is the devil going to unfold the controversy here on planet earth?

In chapter 13 we have the devil's attack on God's true followers And in chapter 14 we have God's counter-attack.

God is saying to Satan, what are you doing?

God has a counter-attack And God is going to expose the deceptions of the devil in the last days.

The foundation of the message was the everlasting gospel.

So through the everlasting gospel, the devil's last-day deceptions will be exposed.

Unfortunately in this presentation I don't have all the time to go into depth, because, you know, we don't have all the time.

But what we are going to take a look at is the essence of the message.

And since we are dealing with the question how to know and share the 3 angels messages, I already at the outset want to suggest based upon my study that what God is looking for in these very last days is not the, sorry, is not only the preaching of the message, but the preaching and the experience of the message.

Because Jesus says in Matthew chapter 24 14, and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a what?

As a witness, as a testimony and then the end will come.

We have emphasized a lot on preaching and yes the gospel is going to be preached but what Jesus is saying when the gospel has been experienced, when the gospel has changed your life, the Bible says, then the end will come.

Apostle Paul, what is he saying about the gospel?

He says It's the power of God unto salvation.

The Greek word that Paul is using for power is dunamis.

Dunamis, which we have derived the word dynamite.

Apostle Paul says that the gospel is like dynamite.

When you encounter Jesus as he is, Apostle Paul says your life will explode.

And this is what is going to happen in the last days.

This is what is going to happen in this generation.

The gospel will be preached as a witness, as a testimony to all the nations and then the end will come.

Stephen Haskell was 1 of the pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and he said, a theory of the third angel's message never, no never, will save us without the wedding garment which is the righteousness of the Saints.

He's saying this, the gospel is not only theory, the gospel is practical.

When you have a theory of the gospel, you are going to live it.

Ellen White says the same thing in the book, Desire of Ages.

The gospel is to be presented, not as a lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life.

God desires that the receivers of His grace shall be what?

Indeed interesting when it comes to Matthew chapter 24 verse 14.

When you have a knowledge of the gospel, automatically it should change your life.
