Antichrist: The One You've Never Known

Antichrist, Episode 1: Impersonator

Where those videos are going to be available 1 of the things we want to do is get this message spread a little further than Just this room here, so that's part of why we present that Make those available again.

I've been a pastor for going on 8 years now.

I'm from, California and By way of Michigan I pastored in Michigan for 7 years and now this last year has been here in Illinois.

Chad, tell us a little bit about yourself.

I've been actually married for just over a month now.

That's where I met Daniel and I have been traveling around for the last 6, maybe 6 and a half years, putting on seminars about the Bible, Bible prophecy, creation, but basically biblical topics.

And so we are excited to dive into the Antichrist.

And we'll be looking at various subjects throughout this seminar.

Today we're gonna be talking about Antichrist, the impersonator.

This guy is acting and looking like Jesus, the Antichrist.

And by the time you are done with this first half hour, I think you're going to be interested to say, and excited to say, Wow, we have seen how the Bible shows the Antichrist tries to mimic or impersonate Jesus Christ.

And, you know, we've got a video here, Chad.

We took a video camera and we went down and we interviewed people to see what their opinions were about biblical topics in particular the Antichrist since we were putting On this seminar, so let's take a look at it.

We're gonna take a look at this video right here Keep your eye on the screen.

Do you know if the Antichrist is a person is a system is a group of people?

Do you know that I would have to say it's more like a system.

I'd say just an idea, kind of evil or whatever people think are bad.

So there were antichrists in the time of Jesus, and there are probably people who don't believe in the Christ even today.

So do you think the antichrist is a person, many persons, or a system?

Well, from what it said in the New Testament, the Antichrist was many people.

Have you studied the Bible about what the Antichrist is?

I guess it's like, to me, it's an energy source or a type of negative energy.

Do you have any idea of what the antichrist is?

No, but usually if it has to do with anything regarding religion, I stay away from it.

You were explaining a little bit about it, but what is it in just 1 or 2 words?

He had a cigarette in his mouth and he told me he was going to walk across the water.

To you, Is the Antichrist something that is here or that is something from the past or that will be in the future?

That's always here So you see there's a lot of people down in Chicago that have a lot of different opinions on who the Antichrist is and where he comes from.

And so we're going to look at that tonight.

Chad, before we get going though, why don't you pray for us?

Yeah, would you bow your heads with us just for a moment as we pray?

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that you've given us the Bible.

I thank you that this book opens up to us the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ.

And I thank you also that this book reveals to us the deception of the enemy.

So we don't need to be in darkness, we don't need a veil over our faces, but through Jesus Christ you can open the veil and show us the light.

So I pray now that as we open this book, the Bible, that our minds would go away from all the things of the week and they would be locked into the pages of your book.

We give the time to you may your Holy Spirit rain down in this place in the name of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

If you guys don't have a Bible go ahead and raise your hand and we're gonna have given in the back and john he's gonna they're gonna go ahead and pass out of our good raise your hand if you don't have 1 you might there's a couple of here in the front you might want to be done over to them if you have a bible please turn in it to revelation chapter 13 and 1 of the reasons we're going to be looking into the Bible, and we want you to look into it for yourself, and you could bring your own Bible from home, we want to make sure that you realize what we're studying here in this seminar is the Word of God, the Bible.

And we want to, basically, we make a promise that this is going to be the book that we're going to be studying, and we want to test everything that is said by the scriptures.

We're not just going to throw a bunch of opinions into a hat and draw 1 hoping that it's the right answer, right?

We want to let the Bible interpret itself.

There'll be a Bible for you here every night.

In Revelation chapter 13, the Bible says in verse 1, I stood, this is John speaking, the author of the book of Revelation, I stood upon the sand of the sea.

Now if you're a Bible student, what does the sand represent there Chad?

Well, if you think about the sand, is it good to build your house upon the sand?

No, not biblically, it'd be good to build your house upon a what?

Antichrist, Episode 2: Characteristics

Now as we dive into some of the characteristics of the Antichrist, I pray that you will enlighten us.

I pray that you will give Daniel, that you will give myself just the right words, that you will anoint us with your spirit.

Lord, I pray that your angels would abide in this place.

Lord, I pray that as we open your Bible that you would reveal to us things new that you would teach us things We knew in the past and maybe we've forgotten Lord and that you would reveal to us our Savior Jesus Christ Lord I pray that will be hidden behind the cross that Jesus Christ may be revealed in the name of Jesus.

Now our message, our second message is entitled Antichrist Characteristics.

We are going to be looking at the, every single time, we're going to do what you could call an exhaustive study on the word Antichrist or Antichrist in the scripture.

We're going to look at every single time the word Antichrist is used so that we can gather more hints and characteristics of who the Antichrist is.

Would you be interested to learn more about the Antichrist?

Would you like to be able to hear something about the Antichrist from the Bible?

Generally, I've read the Bible, I'd say over probably 10 or 15 times.

So when it comes to the Antichrist, I actually know that a lot more than most people about it.

Would you like to hear him talking about the Antichrist?

It wouldn't be the main thing to see, no, Quite honestly with you.

Is the Antichrist something you'd like to learn more about?

On Sunday we're going to be revealing who the biblical Antichrist is.

So we, but we got to look at all the, we got to turn all the stones first, right?

Well, you said we're going to do an exhaustive study.

Let's go ahead and look at the exhaustive concordance, okay?

Strong's concordance, if you don't have 1, you can get 1, exhaustive Strong's concordance, or you can download a really cool program.

It's a Bible program for Windows if you use Windows computers, it's called e-sword.net e-sword.net really good program.

How many people use that program by the way?

We got a few of you It's a really good Bible program.

Anyways, they have really simple Strong's Concordance.

Basically what the Strong's Concordance is, it's a book that gives you the original language spelled out in as basic English as possible.

So we're going to look at that right now.

Antichrist, Strong's Accord number 500, that's the Greek word, it's an opponent of the Messiah.

Taken from 2 words, number 473, which is ante, a primary particle, opposite, instead of, or because of, rarely in addition to, for in the room of, often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, substitution, correspondence, etc.

And it's taken from 5547 which is Christos, of course, Christ.

So we're going to see it's anti, something that's in the room of Christ, opposite of Christ, an opponent of Christ, a contrast or a substitution of Christ.

We saw pretty clearly last time that the Antichrist is a substitution.

Cover for just a real quick thing what we did last time in case somebody's new.

The last message we looked at we saw that the Antichrist power was mimicking Jesus Christ.

We saw that the Antichrist would be a beast, that it would rise up out of the sea.

We saw in the same way that Jesus was a lamb that he began his ministry by rising up out of the sea.

We saw that the Antichrist power would have crowns and horns.

Now we went on to see that the Antichrist would reign for 3 and a half prophetic years and in the same way Jesus Christ had our 3 and a half year ministry.

So we saw point by point that the Antichrist was mimicking Jesus' ministry.

Right now we're going to look at every time the Bible refers to the word Antichrist.

The first time is in John, that we're gonna look at.

It says, little children, it is the last time.

And as you have heard, that Antichrist shall come.

Even now are there many Antichrists, whereby we know that it is the last time.

Now Chad, we see, I didn't read the first part of 1 John there, but the verse, what it says is there are many Antichrists.

Well, the book of 1 John I'm guessing was written toward the last part of the 1st century.

So basically Jesus died around 34 AD, So at the end of that century this book was written sometime, so it's basically written about 1900 years ago.

And at that time John says, at this time he says there, whereby you know, he says there's even many Antichrists that already existed in his time.

The spirit of Antichrist was there in the days of John and Antichrist had already been around in his days.

So we're going to look at another time the Bible refers to this word Antichrist.

They being the people he's speaking of, but they were not of us.

Who do you think the us are that's in the context here?

Well John himself was 1 of the disciples, he was a prophet.

He was a prophet, he was 1 of the apostles, certainly he was a Christian.

They went out from us, they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would not, no doubt, have continued with us.

But they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

So what happens here is when the people that were us at the time Christians went out from us the Christians they were revealed that they were not of them so they had different characteristics they weren't quite the same maybe they looked alike kind of like the Beast of Revelation 13 looks like Jesus, but they were different.

So of course when you put the 2 together you can see the difference, right?

Let's read the next scripture there, Chad.

We read here, 1 John 2, 22 and 23, it says, Who is a liar, but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ?

He is Antichrist, That denieth the Father and the Son, whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father.

So, here we have that this liar that denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Bible calls him the Antichrist.

Now we already saw that this word Antichrist doesn't necessarily mean just in direct opposition to Christ But it is also 1 who opposes and stands in the place of Christ a substitute.

So the Antichrist, aside from actually being someone who says, you know, why don't you follow me instead of Jesus, will come along acting like he is Jesus.

But in reality, he's going to be denying that Jesus is the Christ.

You know, I think about this, and you can think about this too.

It says right there, he is a liar, or who is a liar, but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ.

In John's time, he probably wrote around 96, 95 AD.

When he wrote that, who was it that was denying Jesus was not the Christ?

Yeah, there were, if you actually just read the New Testament read Matthew Mark Luke John you'll see A number of people who are denying that Jesus is the Christ, correct?

A pretty major portion of the groups of people that were alive during that time.

Yeah, lots of different religious sects Okay, so you can think about that ponder it read your Bible for yourself and realize that John was calling people around in his day The Antichrist he says in fact there are many Antichrist.

That's why we know it's the last time and Even today we know this the last time what why are how can I say that We know today that it's the last time?

Well, we can actually see from the Bible, if the last days were also in the days of John, which was 1900 years ago, we can understand clearly that we must even be closer to the last days now.

We can look at things in Matthew chapter 24 we can look in Mark chapter 13 and we can see the signs of the times we know that we are living in the last days very clearly.

1 of the signs that's most important is Matthew chapter 24 verse 14 It says that the gospel will go to all the world as a witness for Christ and then the end shall come.

Antichrist, Episode 3: Order

We saw that they would both have crowns, that they would both have horns.

Point after point, we saw that the whole world would wonder after the Antichrist, and the world had gone after Christ.

So point after point, we saw that Jesus looked, or the Antichrist was trying to mimic Jesus.

And 1 of the things that happened, of course, was the Antichrist was crucified, or was dead and then resurrected.

Now what's the next message that we looked at?

The second message we looked at was called, you said characteristics?

Basically what we looked at is the 5 times the King James Version uses the word Antichrist or Antichrists.

We looked at every time that it's used, we looked at some other verses that it refers to and what we tried to do is we tried to get some characteristics of who this guy is.

From the first message we learned that he is Christian or at least he tries to be.

He looks like Christ he's not just a political power he's not a social power he's not a atheistic power he tries to look like Jesus.

And we also saw that the son of perdition is 1 of the names that this Antichrist power is given.

The son of perdition was also applied to who?

Judas was the guy that Christ said was the son of perdition.

And So we looked at both of these characteristics, or more than that, all of these characteristics of the Antichrist, and that's building up to tomorrow night.

Because what's going to happen tomorrow night?

Tomorrow night we are going to discover exactly from the scriptures, we're going to put the points that we find in Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation chapter 13, and as we search these points you are going to tell us who the Antichrist is.

I'm not going to yell it out because if we yell it out you're going to say well that's those guys opinions that's their own private interpretation but we will put the points on the board and you will tell us who the Antichrist is so that you will know that the Bible is very clear and that you saw that the prophecy is so Crystal clear that you knew who it was That's gonna happen tomorrow.

The message is entitled order Antichrist order we're gonna go through the Antichrist in 12 meetings.

There are going to be some more meetings continuing on, but we're going to be focusing specifically about the Antichrist for 12 meetings.

And this night we're talking about Antichrist order.

Now, what we saw last night is that we were showing a little video clip what was the video clip about who last night we asked people all what they thought about the interest in the thing is a system or or you know was a person people in different opinions but tonight we're going to see some more questions that we ask people downtown chicago Which 1 comes first Jesus Christ or the Antichrist?

Comes first the coming of Jesus the second coming or the Antichrist?

The Antichrist will come and then Jesus, you'll see, well you'll see Jesus in heaven is what you'll do.

What comes first, the Antichrist or the second coming of Jesus?

So you see that people don't totally understand from the Bible which comes first.

Or others that said it's got to be the Antichrist.

But tonight we're going to find out what order chronologically the Bible says the Antichrist comes Chad would you lead us in prayer?

Yes, let's bow our heads for a word of prayer Dear Heavenly Father.

I thank you for this day that you've given us I thank you for the time to open your word.

And I pray that as we do, that your Holy Spirit would fill this place with your presence.

I pray that your angels would be in our midst.

And I pray Lord, that as we look into the order, the chronology, the timing of the Antichrist, that you would make our minds clear, that we would be perceptive to catch these points so that we will know the truth of your word.

So Lord bless us now in the name of Jesus.

If you'd like a Bible to follow along we're going to be turning in our Bibles to Daniel chapter 7.

If you'd like a Bible go ahead and raise your hand and Ed and brother Kim will be able to get us a Bible.

Turn in your Bible to Daniel chapter 7 and what we're gonna be doing is brother Chad we're gonna be looking at chapter 7 verses 8 through 10 and verse 14 would you read that for us yes verses 8 through 10 we read here on the screen now before we even read that what I'd like to do is just give you a little bit of the background, the context of what is going on here.

What's happening here in Daniel chapter 7, we see the rise of the Antichrist power, also known as the Little Horn power of Daniel chapter 7.

Now, this little horn comes up out of the fourth beast the first beast that comes up is a lion the Bible says that it has Eagles wings very clearly the Bible clarifies that this is the the Babylonian power now after Babylon was in power Another Kingdom would rise up the Bible likens it unto a bear that's raised up on 1 side with 3 ribs in its mouth This is the kingdom of Medo-Persia You can see the chronology starting in Medo-Persia in Daniel chapter 8 Then Medo-Persia was taken over by the next beast that rose up which was a leopard with 4 wings and 4 heads and the kingdom that took over the Medo-Persian Empire was what Daniel?

Greece took over and the fourth beast the Bible says was dreadful and terrible and exceeding strong and it had 10 horns and it had iron teeth and this is what historically what took over the Grecian Empire.

According to Luke chapter 3 in the Bible, it was Rome.

So then, out of Rome, Rome divided into 10 portions, or what the Bible calls 10 horns.

And then another horn rises up, another kingdom rises up, which is this Antichrist power.

Now speaking of this little horn, we read here in verse 8, there was a little horn, and I beheld to the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days did sit.

The judgment was set and the books were opened.

There was given Him dominion and glory and a kingdom that all people, nations, and languages should serve Him." Now you can notice here underlined there are 3 separate indistinct entities.

Or at least things that would take place.

I see the little horn, the judgment, and the kingdom.

It's because chronologically That's how the Bible describes that the Antichrist will come.

The little horn, the judgment, and the kingdom.

Now Chad, how could I be so bold as to say such a thing?

You know, you could just be pulling these things out, but the reality is, Daniel's not just pulling these things out and saying, well, let's say there's a little horn, then there's going to be a judgment, the Antichrist, then the judgment, then the kingdom.

We're going to see that 3 times in Daniel chapter 7.

3 times in this single chapter we see the chronology of the little horn, the judgment and then the kingdom or the Antichrist and after Antichrist comes there's a judgment and then after the judgment we see Christ coming in His kingdom.

The Bible says of Daniel chapter 7 verse 21, the second time it goes through this chronology, I beheld and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them.

Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was given unto the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

You'll notice I have underlined here as well, horn, judgment, kingdom, Just as we saw in verses 8 through 10 and verse 14 earlier in this chapter.

Now when God says something once, is it important?

When he says something twice, he's trying to get your attention.

But when he says something 3 times specifically in succession just like this what does that mean?

It means we better pay attention to what he's talking about.

Let's go ahead and read the next 1 pick it up brother.

All right we read here in in verses 24 through 27 it says Another horn or the Antichrist shall arise, but the judgment shall sit, and the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High.

So once again we see the same chronology.

You have the horn, another horn comes up, then the judgment takes place, and then the Christ comes back in his kingdom.

Antichrist, Episode 4: Clues

We're going to see that the Beast of Revelation Chapter 13 is the same power as Daniel's Chapter 7, the Little Horn power.

So now we're going to see some clues and correlations that will show us not only that these 2 chapters are similar in talking about the same power, but in the process we'll be learning a little bit more exactly who the Antichrist is.

So as we're learning about how that the Beast of Revelation 13 which is a political power, I'm sorry, a religious power trying to really mimic Christ Jesus, He's the same power as the little horn of Daniel chapter 7.

What are we going to do next tomorrow night?

Tomorrow night we're going to find more clues, which our next presentation tomorrow night will be called More.

And then right after more we will be looking at revealed finding out exactly who the Antichrist power is I've said it again.

I've said it before but I'll say it again.

You are going to tell us who the Antichrist is We don't necessarily need to tell you and I believe probably 90 plus percent of the people in this room will be able to tell us exactly who the Antichrist power is.
