As we near the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States, it is a time of reflection on God’s goodness and blessings to us over the past year. However, this year’s reflection is especially poignant since we are celebrating 20 years in ministry for AudioVerse. There’s a lot to be thankful for through the past two decades!

AudioVerse Top 20

One of the things we did was to go back through our archives to see what the top sermons were each year since 2005. It was quite a journey down memory’s lane reviewing those twenty years’ worth of messages! We’ve been sharing each year’s top sermon on social media over the past month, but in case you missed them, I want to share them with you now.

How many of these messages have you listened to?

If you’ve got a road trip or flight coming up over the holidays, it will be a great time to listen or re-listen to these classic sermons! The Word of God is never outdated.

Two Decades of Collaboration

In my Thanksgiving reflections this year, I am also deeply grateful for our many ministry partners—speakers, local churches, convention organizers, fellow supporting ministries, and so many others—who have shared their content with us to distribute to the world. We are privileged to play a small part in extending the influence of these valued partners in the Lord.

Behind-the-scenes there have been many hours of prayer, counsel, and encouragement together with numerous ministry partners. This mutual support helps the work to continue moving forward unitedly. This spirit of collaboration is one of AudioVerse’s core values, and one of the ways we can fulfill Christ’ prayer for unity in John 17. We are truly grateful to be a part of the body of Christ!

Thankful for YOU!

And of course, I am also thankful for YOU, our financial partners. AudioVerse is God’s ministry, but in a real sense, it is also your ministry. Our team works on the digital front lines through your support and as your representatives. Your gifts are what enables this ministry to continue growing its influence into the next decade. As we work to fulfill Christ’s gospel commission, your partnership is vital to enable this work to continue.

In this season of Thanksgiving, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your faithful financial support through the years. (Some of our donors have legitimately been with us through all 20 years, or close to it! You know who you are!)

A Greater Urgency

While there’s a certain warm nostalgia in reflecting on the past, I am also weighed by the fact that the urgency of the work is greater now than when AudioVerse started back in 2005. We are grateful for what God has wrought for us in the past, but we can’t slacken our efforts now for the future. I long for the great Thanksgiving in Heaven one day, but there’s work to be done before we can get there.

So as Thanksgiving also corresponds to the Giving Season, I prayerfully ask for you to come alongside us again this year to give generously in support of the mission of AudioVerse.
