Our Heavenly Father, we pray that Thou wilt bless us today as we attempt to answer Bible questions for the people.

There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God, a place where sin cannot molest near to the heart of God.

O Jesus, blessed Redeemer, sent from the heart of God, Hold us who bow before thee.

Here now is HMS Richards, the Voice of Prophecy speaker, who will today answer questions.

First of all, let us say that in answering these questions, we can only give suggestive answers, As we have but a few minutes and many interesting questions, of course, it's impossible for us to give exhaustive replies.

I assure our friends that we do the best we can and naturally you will understand this.

Neither by mail can we answer all the questions that come to us.

It would necessitate a vast staff of workers and far more time than we could possibly give to it to answer fully all the questions that we receive.

So we advise our friends who are interested in Bible study to take the Bible correspondence courses offered by the Voice of Prophecy, which when completed will have answered most of your important and practical Bible questions.

The good books recommended in the Voice of Prophecy news and in our Bible courses will also prove helpful.

Do you believe in the divinity of Christ?

Our answer is that all those who have listened to the voice of prophecy for any time have heard our strong statements in this regard.

The Holy Scripture is perfectly clear in the matter.

But unto the Son, he saith, thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.

God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Jesus himself said, I and my Father are 1.

John 10.30 We'll read just 1 more text to sustain the plain scriptural teaching that Jesus is divine.

God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

It is clear from this that Christ's incarnation did not annul His divinity.

Questioned, does the scripture teach that Jesus existed before he was manifested in the flesh as a babe in Bethlehem?

In our Savior's prayer to his Father he said, And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." John 17.5 There are many other texts that sustain the same truth that Jesus did indeed exist before he came to this earth and appeared as a man.

How was the divinity of Christ shown while he was on earth?

Well I should say first by his power to perform miracles, John 11 43.

Second, by the fact that he had the right to lay down his life and to take it again.

He said no 1 could take it from him, that he gave it voluntarily.

Third, by his being recognized as God in Hebrews 1, 8.

Unto the Son, he saith, thy throne, O God, is forever and ever.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

In the fourth place, Christ's divinity is proved by what the Apostle Paul said under divine inspiration in Colossians 2.9.

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Well, the word soul refers to the statement in the preceding verses, which speaks of the Gentiles being grafted into the tree of Israel.

You must remember that the Apostle uses the term Israel in 2 different ways.

When he speaks in a saving sense, Israel refers to those who in all ages are the children of God.

When he speaks in a national sense, it refers to the literal people of Israel as an Asian.

In this text concerning which you ask, Romans 11, 26, He is speaking of Israel as those who are saved.

The very next verse speaks of the New Covenant relationship.

And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written, They shall come out of Zion the deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

For this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins." This is a quotation from the New Covenant promise of Jeremiah 31.

It refers to the gospel revealed in Jesus Christ.

The apostle himself says, They are not all Israel, which are of Israel.

God counts as spiritual Israel those who have experienced a new birth.

What says the scripture in Galatians 3 7 and 29?

They which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham.
