The Coming Judgments of God

Thank you so much for allowing us to come here together for this special presentation of Warner Cities.

Lord, I pray for a special outpouring of your Holy Spirit upon Steve Wohlberg and the other participants.

I pray for your Holy Spirit to be poured out upon our audience, our viewing audience also, that we can hear the message, clear our minds, empty us of ourselves so we can hear the words and be able to apply this in our lives and take action upon it.

Thank you, dear Father, for allowing us to be here.

Thank you, Pastor Melvin, appreciate that.

Good morning to you who are here and those who are watching.

I tell you, This is hotter than Priest River, Idaho.

And I want to start on a rather light note.

There's a picture of my family up there on the screen.

My daughter Abigail and my wife Kristen, our son Seth.

And I just have to tell you that yesterday was my son's 12th birthday.

And that's very rare that I miss his birthday.

But he told me something before I left that I wanted to share with you.

He said, Dad, it's all right if you're gonna miss my birthday.

And then he said, if God is telling you to do something, He said, you do it.

And that encouraged me, hearing that from a little boy.

That's why I'm here, because I believe that God is telling me to do something.

He's telling me to be here, And our hope for this day and all the presentations is that you also will hear the voice of God and that you will be impressed that God is telling you to do something and that you will do it.

If you have a Bible, I invite you to open up to the book of Isaiah.

26, and I'd like to read verse, the second half of verse 9.

I don't think we can pray too much, can we?

Isaiah wrote, with my soul, I have desired you in the night.

Yes, by my spirit within me, I will seek you early.

And that's our topic for the first meeting this weekend, it's the coming judgments of God.

When your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn, and what's that next word?

Dear Father in heaven, thank you for this opportunity, this privilege to be here in Nashville, Tennessee.

And Father, we pray in the name of Jesus for the Holy Spirit again to bless all of the presentations and those that are here and those that are watching.

Lord, you know the hour in which we live and how important it is that we hear your voice today.

Please speak through me, bless us all, talk to our hearts.

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We're here in Nashville, Tennessee for the first meeting of what we're calling Warn the Cities Convocation.

It is being streamed live on the website, warnthecities.com.

I am well aware of the fact that today, July 23rd, is an event that is sandwiched in between 2 big political conventions.

On the behind side of us just this past week was the Republican National Convention that took place in Ohio.

I don't know if any of you watched any of these speeches.

Quite an emotional week they had in Ohio.

This coming week, the Democrats will have their convention in Pennsylvania, and I'm sure there'll be a lot of emotions there as well.

People around the country and around the world are watching both of these conventions, And here we are in the middle.

And it's my conviction, if I may be so bold as to say this, it is my conviction that what is happening today in this convention, or this convocation, from God's perspective, I believe is more important than both of the conventions that the world is watching.

Whoever is elected in November, whoever gets into the White House, whether it's Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Republicans or Democrats, whoever gets in, the fact is that No earthly president can really and truly and permanently solve the problems of America or the problems of this world.

It's just not possible no matter how skilled they may be.

Only the ruler of the universe can solve the problems of this world.

And I refer to him as ruler, not president.

Because God is not, his office is not open for election.

God is an absolute and loving ruler of his universe.

And his plan is to get rid of sin, to get rid of it entirely, to completely wipe it out from not only this planet, but from his universe entirely.

That is his plan, and I wanna make it very clear that God's plan is motivated by his love, his intense love for his universe and for you and for me.

Unfortunately, Part of that plan, and there's just no way around this, sometimes I tell audiences I've got good news and bad news, and the bad news is it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

But the good news is that when it gets good, it's gonna get really good.

It's gonna get better than we can possibly imagine.

And part of God's plan in getting rid of evil has to do with his judgments, the coming judgments of God.

And that's what we're gonna be talking about today.

We're gonna see what the Bible has to say, what God has to say, and our hope and our prayer for this event today is that we're just praying that this will not just be a blessing to you here, but that it will spark a revival among us and among those who are watching, that it will spark a movement, Hopefully a global movement for us to do our part, for all of us and many more to do our part to warn others what is coming, to warn them in love and compassion with grace on our lips, but to warn them about what is coming with the ultimate goal in mind that they will be ready for the return of the King of kings.

I read this verse a little bit ago, second half of the verse.

Verse says, when your judgments are In the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

If you've been watching the news at all, you must be aware of the fact that there's just disaster after disaster after disaster that is hitting this planet right now.

Isaiah 26 verse 9 talks about the judgments of God.

And the question is, are these disasters, do they have anything to do with God's judgments?
