All Things to All Men

My Father which is in heaven, I want to thank you so much for giving us another opportunity, Father, to dig deep into your Word and be inspired.

Inspired, Father, to share you with everybody we come in contact with.

And Lord, I pray from my heart that you will make this message simple, but yet powerful.

I pray Lord that you would help us leave this place inspired to share you with others.

And Lord, we pray for our family members and our friends, especially those that are not in a relationship with you.

Those Lord who have perhaps left you, we pray and ask that you would give us wisdom on how to reach them.

For we pray this prayer in Jesus' name, amen.

All right, what does a Christian look like in all settings of life?

Whether you are a doctor, whether you are a lawyer, whether you are a janitor, whatever you do, how is it that we should be witnessing for God?

Now, last couple of messages, we talked about a number of things of how to be a soul winner.

The first thing is we must remember that Jesus is our example.

We don't look to pastors, or teachers, or evangelists as our example.

And number 2, the Bible says that we are, we don't be better, we don't better ourselves by our own works.

We are righteous because of what Jesus has done on the cross, amen.

It's accepting that by faith that gives us that righteousness experience.

Now We must understand that wherever I go, whatever I do, we must make sure that Jesus can come with me there.

If Jesus is not invited to a place, if Jesus is not welcome in a place, I probably shouldn't be there.

And we learned through the life of Joshua that we never should compromise truth.

Now there is a number of quotations that are absolutely powerful that I want to share with you from inspiration that will give us some principles on how to be great soul winners.

Here's 1 from the Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 19.

He said, For though I am free from all men, I have made myself servant to what?

And to the Jews I became a Jew, that I might win Jews.

To those who are under the law as under the law that I may win those under the law to those who are without The laws without the law not being without the law towards God But under the law towards Christ that I may win those who are without the law He says to the weak I became weak that I might win the weak I have become all things to all men that I that I might by all means save, how many?

Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be a partaker of it with you.

Now what is the first step in being a soul winner?

Well first of all you have to recognize were there some people that rejected Jesus while he was on this earth?

He was the greatest soul winner in the history of this planet and yet there was people that still rejected him.

So we must recognize that look, we could try all the methods in the world that are governed by the Holy Spirit and yet we will still fail in some cases.

Paul says I'm going to be doing everything I can.

To the weak I'm going to be weak, to the Jew I'm going to be a Jew, to the Gentile I'm going to be a Gentile.

But I must understand that I'm gonna do everything it takes to save some, but I'm only gonna save some.

Now, principle number 1 of how to be a successful soul winner, whether it's to family, friends, strangers, atheists, agnostics, whatever it is, the first step in being a successful soul winner, Paul laid it out in that verse that we just read.

Paul said, though I be free from all men, yet I have made myself a servant.

I'm free to do whatever I want, but I am making myself a servant.

In essence, what he is saying is, I am going to show these people that I'm ministering to that I care about them.

Principle number 1 in being a successful soul winner, whether it's to your family, friends, and loved ones, you first must show them that you care.

That you're there to meet their needs, that you're there to serve them.

You're not there to just shove down truth down their throats.

They don't care about what truth you have until you show them how much you care about them.

And so the first step in being a successful soul winner is to be a servant unto all.

Jesus laid this principle down in the Gospels.

In John chapter 13 verse 12 he said, so when he had washed their what?

Their feet, taken his garments and sat down again, let's see, he says, I have given you an example that you should do as I have done to you.

Most assuredly I say to you, a servant is not greater than his what?

So notice what Jesus, he washed the disciples' feet, yes?

He washed their feet and he says, look, I'm your master, but I am humbling myself to serve you.

Showing you your condition, he said, in John chapter 13, verse 12, 15 through 16.

Jesus, in essence, taught us the principle that in order to reach, save people, we must first show them that we care.

Now I want to tell you 1 of the most humbling things you could do as a job.

What do you think is the most humbling job you could ever do?

What is the most humbling job you could ever do?

What else, what is the most humbling job you could do?

And I wanna share with you what I think is the most humbling job in the history of the planet.

How many of you would like to walk in 100-degree weather, 8 hours a day, getting rejected left and right, yelled at and ridiculed and threatened and being chased by dogs and how many of you...
