Holy Father in heaven, tell me what to say, how to say it, that first your name may be glorified and secondly your sons blessed.

But you know Luke was also a superb historian.

Modern historians who have studied the book of Luke and Acts because you wrote 2 books have concluded he was 1 of the finest ancient historians.

Every place, every person, every event he records can be documented by extra biblical sources.

Luke was a very excellent historian and I take that opportunity to say that as Christians, we must realize that excellence is godly behavior, not sloppiness or mediocrity.

Luke 17 from verse 26, and as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the what?

Next verse, they did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that what?

Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Verse 28, likewise also as it was in the days of Lot.

They did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded.

Now we'll review the passage we just read and then I'll itemize some things.

On the board, verse 27 says, they did eat.

Now let me bring this back so my friends can see they did eat they drank they what bought They sold.

Tell me which of them in and of itself is a sin none but listen to verse 27 what does that say Until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of lot.

They drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they build it.

Well, among other things, but Christ did not say they were robbing liquor stores, they were hijacking cars, they were committing adultery, they were whatever, because it is so obvious that these things will get you lost.

But the ordinary duties of life do not appear to be dangerous The very first commandment is the first commandment for a good reason thou shall have no other gods before me.

Ellen White writes in Great Controversy page 583, she says, it is as easy to make an idol of false theories and doctrines as it is the fashion and idol of wood and stone.

Now I said before I get into my message but this may end up being my message.

It's maybe the happiest of all the epistles Paul has written.

Yet, in engaging in an activity arranged by god, people are lost.

Anything that supersedes God will destroy you.

Let me ask you this, who gave the Israelites instructions to offer burnt offerings?

But listen to God in Isaiah 1 to what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me I am full of the burnt offering of rams and the fat of fed beasts and I delight not in the blood of bullets or of lambs or of he goats that's what God said because they place an undue emphasis on animals and they lost sight of Christ what I'm trying to say to us is this there are many law-abiding 70 Adventists Law abiding in the eyes of the sheriff's department.

Who will be lost because this is their priority.

So what I'm saying to you as men, leaders of your homes, your churches, your communities, in these last days in which we live, and we keep saying that these are the last days, we ought by our emphases, our behavior, our speech to demonstrate that the coming of Christ is our priority.

It is the only permanent and effective solution for the problems of the world.

Now, we can lose all our education, we can use our education, whatever other skills we have to relocate problems.

But only the coming of Christ will erase them.
