Our Father, it's been such a joy to meet with these folks.

We will never be the same because we've spent time with you this week.

Thank you for the assurance we have a salvation because of Jesus Christ.

Thank you that we're justified by faith in Christ alone, not in ourselves.

There's nothing that we can do to make ourselves good enough or holy enough, but because of Jesus, He's made a way of escape for us.

We've decided to get on the boat, on the ark, which is Jesus Christ.

We put on the garment of Christ's righteousness this week.

Now please, continue to walk with us every day as each 1 of us begin the day with you and commit our ways into you.

Help us to listen to your Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us and keep us from falling.

So bless us now Lord as we worship you and as we spend time in your word and we thank you in Jesus name, amen.

Desire of Ages 311, Christ always separates the contrite soul from sin.

He always separates the contrite soul from sin.

Whenever you come to him, you see your need, and you want him to come and dwell in you, he's going to do it.

He came to destroy he, Jesus Christ, came to destroy the works of the devil.

And he has made provision that the Holy Spirit shall be imparted to every repentant soul.

So when we repent, we come to him just as we are, just as sinful and filthy as we are, he's gonna pour out the Holy Spirit on us to keep us from sinning.

I have to go against the Holy Spirit in order to commit a sin.

Now we've given Bible studies for a year.

And somehow they get this idea that they're sinning all the time.

Jesus Christ gives to you the Holy Spirit to keep you from sinning, to keep you from committing known sin.

So you have to go against conscience in order to do that.

Sometimes I realize this is some of the evidence that we think we sin all the time.

But if we take the word just the way it is where God says I can keep you from falling, Jude 24, I'm able to do that, then will he find faith on the earth?

Peter, he knows how to deliver the godly from temptation.

Well I'm not godly so he can't deliver me.

The minute you serve your life to Jesus Christ, you have his righteousness.

So he knows how to deliver the godly from temptation.

So we have to put our wills on the side of Jesus Christ.

I just wanted to clarify something because people are really confused on this point.

They think that their temptations are a sin.

You may be bombarded in your brain with temptations and they're not necessarily to do a wrong thing.

A temptation can be thinking poorly of yourself, thinking you're worthless, thinking that you have no value.

But as I was sharing with a sister over here, the Holy Spirit prompts you.

What are you going to do with those thoughts?

This is what desire of ages says, all right, that Jesus will do that.

But then we've got another 1 in Signs of the Times, September 12th, 1892.

Now this 1 says, Satan, the enemy will suggest that the Lord will not keep you from falling.

Okay, desire of ages, Jesus said, I can keep you from falling and sinning.

And now here the enemy is saying no he won't, he can't.

So if we listen to the enemy, what are we going to do?

Are we going to follow him and we're going to follow?

Okay so we're not going to listen to him anymore.

I'm going to read a couple of statements.

To those who are tempted, I already talked about this, and I had you raise your hand if you're tempted, and 3 people raised their hands.

We've turned our back on Satan, now we're walking with Jesus, and Satan doesn't come along to you now that you left his environment and say, go have a good time with Jesus.

He's on your case, and you will be tempted.

To those who are tempted, I will say, do not for a moment acknowledge Satan's temptations as in harmony with your own mind.

Now that we've given ourselves to Jesus Christ, we receive a new mind.

In Ezekiel, and what was the other 1, Joy?

Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus, okay?

So in Ezekiel God said I'm gonna put a new heart in you and a new mind a mind to know me So don't for 1 moment Accept those thoughts that are out of compliance with God's will, that are not holy, just, pure, or good, in Philippians 4.8.
