Our Responsibility During This Pandemic

Father in heaven, thank you so much for this time that we can come to study again.

And Lord, as we open your Word, open our hearts and our minds.

And more than anything else, Lord, as we study the Word, may you speak to us.

That your words might become alive to us, and even though it might cut and hurt, that Lord, I know that you're doing what is perfect in your timing and for our very best good.

Open our eyes, open our ears, that we might behold wondrous things out of thy word this morning, we pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

The seventh day of Venice Church has been called out of the pages of prophecy itself.

I don't say this with a lot of pride, but friends, with a lot of solemnity that rests upon us as God's remnant in these last days.

In Revelation chapter 12, we are given a picture of a woman at the very beginning of that chapter and she is standing on the moon.

In fact, let's turn our Bibles to Revelation chapter 12 and verse 1.

This is what the Bible says about this woman.

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars.

So we see this woman standing there and she is clothed with the sun, she's standing on the moon and this represents God's people throughout history.

Not just the church in the New Testament, but if you'll turn with me in your Bibles to Jeremiah chapter 6 and verse 2.

This is what the Bible talks about a woman.

It says here, I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

The daughter of Zion was represented as a woman.

And then we turn our Bibles to Isaiah 51 and verse 16.

The Bible says, Friends, God's people in the Old Testament, Israel, ancient Israel, was represented by that woman.

And so when we look at Revelation chapter 12, This is the woman throughout history, from the very beginning of the creation of the world up to the very end of time before the close of probation.

In the New Testament, we are well aware of the fact that the woman represents the church.

Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church.

So this woman in Revelation chapter 12 represents God's people throughout all time.

Look, this woman, it changes throughout Revelation chapter 12.

Because when you come down to verse 2 and even verse 4 and 5, we see that this woman also represents Mary who would give birth to Jesus.

So I know that some churches they think that this woman is only Mary and that's it.

But then we come down to Revelation chapter 12 and verse 6.

It does not only represent Mary because if you stop there, you stop short of its full interpretation.

Revelation chapter 12 and verse 6 the Bible says, and the woman fled into the wilderness where she hath a place prepared of God that they should feed her there a thousand, 203 score days.

We see this same picture also in verse 14.

She's fleeing into the wilderness and she's hidden from the face of the serpent for a time, times, and half a time.

And we know that that is not Mary, but that represents what?

The church in the wilderness during the Dark Ages.

So in Revelation chapter 12 at the very beginning we see this woman and throughout history she's been persecuted yes but she has represented different people and groups from ancient Israel to Mary, to the early New Testament church, and then even the church in the wilderness.

And then friends, I want you to come back with me to Revelation chapter 12.

Then we come all the way to the end of the chapter and this is what the Bible says.

Friends, the identification of the remnants of the woman's seed is here in Revelation chapter 12 and verse 17.

It is no longer the woman but now it transitions from the woman to the remnant.

Number 1, They keep the commandments of God.

And number 2, they have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Friends, this alone, these 2 things, identify clearly in the last days who would be the remnant of the woman.

And amazingly enough, the remnant and the woman have exactly the same characteristics.

God's people throughout all time have had these 2 identifying marks, so to speak.

It says here that she's clothed with what?

Let's turn our Bibles to Malachi, the last book of the Old Testament.

Malachi chapter 4 and verse 2, look at what the Bible says.

Malachi chapter 4 verse 2, what does the Son represent?

But unto you that fear my name shall the Son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall.

She's clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Psalms 119, the longest chapter in the Bible, and we're at the very end of the chapter, 172.

Psalms 119, 172, the Bible says this, My tongue shall speak of thy word, for all thy commandments are righteousness.

So friends, the commandments of God is His righteousness.

So when the woman is clothed with the Son, she is clothed quote-unquote with the 10 Commandments of God.

She's clothed with the 10 Commandments of God and yes we know that Jesus Christ is righteous.

She's clothed with the righteousness of Jesus.

And the righteousness of Jesus is His law.

Friends, you cannot separate the law and Jesus.

In the pen of inspiration, here in Child Guidance, this is what we read.

Child Guidance 69 paragraph 2, of the law of God.

When you do this, you will have the righteousness of Christ which pervades that law because you love God and recognize His law as what?

So friends, the remnant is clothed with, or in a sense of clothed, pardon me, the remnant is clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

They keep the 10 Commandments of God and the woman is clothed with the sun, they also are clothed with the righteousness of God.

What I'm trying to show you here is the woman and the remnants are the same in their characteristic except the remnant is at the very end the last remaining piece the remnant the remnants of the woman the remaining people of God at the end of time exactly the same as woman no different God's people have been no different since the beginning of time up until now.
