You are about to enjoy a presentation recorded at the 2023 Michigan Conference Camp Meeting held at Cedar Lake, Michigan.

We pray that the Lord will bless you as you listen.

Dear Father in heaven, thank you so much for the blessings of what you have given us in natural remedies.

May we learn how to use them appropriately to be able to help not only ourselves communicate with you better, but also our friends and our neighbors.

We thank you so much in your precious and holy name.

Alrighty, so we're talking about respiratory diseases, but as a quick review, as you know, we actually have a clinic, a practicum going on at the same time.

If you have signed up for that practicum yesterday, please remember your time.

Show up and let Tara know what you're there for, what station you signed up for.

If you need a reminder, you can ask them on your way out.

Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to have some fun and learn lots.

How many of you went to his class where you could ask questions?

John's class at 1045 or 215 and ask your questions there.

You can see she's actually she's actually smiling a little bit, which is awesome.

Quiet down if you don't mind, please, because people are trying to listen.

And there we have 1 of our other learners, she's getting the fomentations out of, we have an Amish canner back there and that's how we're keeping the fomentations hot while we do chest fomentations.

There's Julie where she's teaching and getting ready to put on the next fomentation there.

And I think you said that you really enjoyed having a lab.

You went to some other training that wasn't very hands-on, and already you're getting more training in just half a day, which is fantastic.

Actually, this is both Susies, double Susies.

Susie Johnson there in the blue is a nurse who's come to help out.

And then Suzie right there in the red Helping out.

Debbie could please come up So, please if you have not the reason you can't sign up is because there is no more space.

So you actually run Culinary Medicine in Lansing.

So tell us a little bit about the kind of things that you cook with people Yeah, and why?

So culinary medicine is where we go into people's homes and do individualized whole food plant-based program in their kitchen with their materials Focusing on diseases that they have within a whole food plant-based food So especially for metabolic syndrome, your diabetes, your high cholesterol, your high blood pressure, beans, which we've been really emphasizing in our time here, are extremely helpful in reversing those diseases.

So we really individualize it, and that opens doors for the gospel.

We definitely have had multiple people coming to us through this work, asking us how they joined the church, and then we reply saying, well, we need to say the Bible together.

So it definitely opens doors for the gospel.

And you're making like beans in like waffles and beans in omelets and beans in...

I think pretty much every day we're eating beans in some form.

The first day we had beans in our yogurt, in our waffles.

We had beans in our stir fry and our omelette.

We're even cutting beans in our ice cream of sorts, and it tastes all delicious.

This is a review of a handout from yesterday.

So if you look at each of the different diseases, we're emphasizing a cup of beans every single day, particularly for diabetes.

You need 40 to 50 grams of fiber each day to really reverse type 2 diabetes.

You're gonna get that high, you've gotta have some beans, because there's really, that's 1 of the highest fiber foods you also got to have your whole grains follow the things that are in this handout and if you want more information go to Dr.

Kelly's class at 1045 or 215 yeah I just have 1 more thing to add.

If you do add a lot of beans to your diet, I just really encourage you to work with a health care professional or at least watch your diabetes medicine because you might be surprised.

Your blood sugar might tank out if you're still taking your meds and you're eating a lot of beans.

So note in your handout, it says if taking any insulin, do not start aggressive lifestyle change until you talk to your physician because it actually works.

There's a few spots left if you're wanting to get in on the on the lab.

Alright, We also another important part of learning hydrotherapy is actually experiencing it yourself.

So I would encourage you on your way out, there'll be a couple of people that you can schedule appointments with.

We have been having a lot of issues with the QR code and the website.

So whoever has signed up on the QR code, you keep your appointments.

But for the remainder of the week, we're going to be scheduling everybody on a piece of paper over at the information booth or here as you walk out the door.

So if you want a slot to receive hydrotherapy, that would be for joint pain, for a bunch of things that we're going to talk about today, sinus issues, headaches, relaxation, if you just want to experience it because you want to know what people would experience when you give it Make sure you sign up on your way out and get a slot.

You guys are getting first dibs Take advantage of that.
