You are about to enjoy a presentation recorded at the 2023 Michigan Conference Camp Meeting held at Cedar Lake, Michigan.

We pray that the Lord will bless you as you listen.

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you so much for the natural remedies that you have given us.

We pray that we can use them wisely, both for ourselves as well as to illustrate the Gospel to those around us.

We pray that you give us great wisdom as we talk today.

So we are talking about aches and pains today.

Definitely want to be here at this 1 because there is a lot of great material.

Some of you have already experienced over in our clinic over here some of the relief multiple, multiple times.

Francia has said, yeah, people are saying that they're coming in with a stiff knee, and they're like, I can move it afterwards.

I didn't realize I could do something so simple myself at home and get such profound relief.

So that's a joint fermentation that we'll talk about a little bit.

That's an important part of learning hydrotherapy.

Maybe it's because I'm in front of the speaker there.

And that's an important part of learning hydrotherapy is actually experiencing it.

And there are some slots to also do hydrotherapy as a lab.

So this is a teaching clinic, so get your hands wet, literally.

And all the people that have come have thoroughly enjoyed it.

You really can't learn it with me just talking up here.

There is Gabby there in action with the joint fermentation.

We had a lot of joint fermentations this morning.

And then there, I'm so sorry, I forgot her name there in the middle.

She jumped right in and doing fomentations and said, yeah, I feel like I can do this at home now.

She has hopped in, helping out wherever was needed with whatever busiest station there was, helping with registration all over the place.

This would not happen without her running all the registration and trying to figure out where does this person go and that person getting all the paperwork straight and keeping all that paperwork.

She's a nurse, ICU nurse actually, helping out with joint fermentations and hot foot baths.

And there are some other folks that are learning hydrotherapy.

They had some really good food today, specific to aches and pains.

I saw their roast there that they combined.

A lot of things that we're going to talk about today that helps with aches and pains.

Kelly's Q&A class which you do not need to register for.

Already as a review we are looking at natural remedies through the lens of revelation-based medicine.

I could talk about all kinds of natural remedies up here, but rather I want to give you the tools to try to figure out, is this a natural remedy that is actually gonna help me or harm me?

So we're looking through the lens of redemption or the gospel, will this help me draw closer to Christ?

And will it actually work with physiology, is what we looked at.

Will it help the cause of disease is what we looked at yesterday.

Which means you need to understand the cause of disease.

So you need to understand a little bit about disease.

And you can ask your friendly healthcare professionals in your church or learn a little bit yourself.

A little bit of health education does us all some good.

So when do we use natural remedies, particularly for those of us who may not have as much training in health or don't necessarily know a lot, you know, diagnosed or those kinds of things?

You need to use natural remedies when you already have a diagnosed condition, when you know the cause of the disease, like we talked about yesterday.

And then it really shines when it's a controlled disease, it's in remission, you're trying to just get healthier.

You can do a lot to learn how to get healthfully and even in a lot of cases like we talked about Monday actually reverse type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure.

You've heard the stories people getting off their medications with working with their physician and feeling so so much better.

Just a quick thing on how do you use natural remedies in serious illness and in critical illness?

We need, when there's a major Crisis going on, we need a major intervention.

The natural remedies are they work slowly, they work in harmony with the body very carefully.

So they are not your strong intervention when someone's there dying.

If someone's having a heart attack or a stroke.

Have you seen somebody with a heart attack and stroke?

I work in the hospital all of the time when they're critically ill.

The way you can witness to them is to care for them, care for their family, be an emotional support to them, help them out.

A very interesting quote from a sixth volume of the Testimonies, 232.

This is when natural remedies are helpful for the seriously ill.

When the crisis has passed and success is apparent, be the patient a believer or an unbeliever.

Let a few moments be sent with him in prayer.

Give expression to your thankfulness for the life that has been spared.

A physician who follows such a course carries his patient to the 1 upon whom he is dependent for life.

Words of gratitude may flow from the patient to the physician, for God has found this life up with his own.

But let the praise and thanksgiving be given to God as 1 who presents, who is present through the invisible." So when we, someone is so grateful to us for what we've helped them through, that is the moment to pray with them and direct that to God.

So actually, when people are critically ill, taking care of them the best that we know how is the biggest way that you can help and then pray for them.

Someone, we talked about sunshine a whole bunch yesterday, and someone reminded me that I should talk about skin cancer.

So the very important, so when 10 to 4 is when the UVB rays that cause cancer are the most strong.

And so we want to have exposed skin, if we're Caucasian, to have lighter skin, more like 10, 15 minutes, or until the skin is a little bit pink.
