Ordinary to Extraordinary

It is just a joy to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is just a privilege to be part of the Army.

It is good to be part of this group and of this movement.

I would like to bring the greetings from our division, Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division.

We have 23 countries and territories in our division, and we have almost 2.7 million baptized members in our division.

Anyway, the devil did not want me to be here yesterday because you see, I was so, I was ready, I woke up very early to catch my flight from Washington DC because I stayed for a couple of days there for another program.

And I was in time, actually ahead of time for my flight from Washington, D.C.

The plane was delayed for about 2 hours, the takeoff time.

And even though the pilot did everything to catch up, then we could not make the connection.

Just about 15 minutes, then the door was closed.

And I was there with other people, and the lady said, well, the next available flight for you is tomorrow meaning today today afternoon afternoon and I said well, I am going to speak I flew from South Africa just to speak what will happen to that speaking assignment.

And well, we talked and I called the team here.

So I went to another counter, explained my situation, and it was a miracle.

All of a sudden, they said, yes, we can put you on tonight, meaning yesterday night.

There was a flight, and I said, just put me on that flight.

Arrived yesterday, almost midnight, and travel almost 24 hours.

Praying for the strength of the Lord, and thank you for your prayers, because I feel good now.

The Lord is going to use this time to change our lives.

You know, we don't want to be in a meeting where when we go in and when you go out, you remain the same.

And then waiting for another meeting again to get some excitement and then another meeting.

We don't want to go into that kind of meeting.

We want to go to a meeting where when you go in, you are at this point, and when you go out, you are changed.

So I'm praying, and many people are praying, for this meeting to be a life-changing experience.

So when we finish the meeting here and other meetings as well, we will be changed.

We will be revived and we will be transformed.

The Lord is going to do His work once again, and we thank the Lord for that.

You know, it is good to be here, as I already said.

And I just want us to know that the devil does not like that kind of meeting.

In the book, Steps to Christ, it is written, the adversary seeks continually to obstruct the way to the mercy seat, that we may not be earnest supplication and faith obtain grace and power to resist temptation.

So the devil does not like this kind of meeting.

It does everything for us not to attend this kind of meeting.

It does everything for us not to be able to be part of this meeting.

There is a necessity for diligence in prayer.

Make every effort to keep open the communion between Jesus and your own soul.

Seek every opportunity to go where prayer is 1 to be made.

So I want to congratulate you this morning.

I want to thank God for you, that you have decided to be part of this meeting, where we are praying.

Even if the devil does everything for us not to pray, you have come.

So I want to thank the Lord for you, for the fact that you have actually made the sacrifice, or you have made the sacrifice to be here this morning.

And I can tell you, you will never be disappointed.

Every time I attend, this is by the way my second time to attend Army Bible Camp, And I hope it will not be the last.

The Lord will still give time for me as well to attend this convention.

Because once you attend this convention, you don't want to stop.

You don't want to miss, because the Lord has blessed you, and he wants him to bless you again.

Okay, my topic this morning is from ordinary to extraordinary.

Lord, this is your time that he wants to talk to us.

This is your time that he wants to change us.

We would like you, Lord, to do just that.

Speak to us, transform us, and use this moment to bring a revival and reformation in our lives.

Use your vessel to communicate and to transmit the message that you have already prepared for your people today.

I would like you to open your Bibles this morning in Genesis chapter 28.

Genesis chapter 28, we are going to read verse 10 to 11 first.

Now, Jacob, and that is in Genesis chapter 28, verse 10 and 11.

Now, Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.

So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night because the sun had set.

And he looked 1, he took 1 of the stones of that place and put it at his head and he laid down in that place to sleep.

This is a very familiar story, a very familiar text.

In fact, he was a mess because he cheated his brother, he cheated his father, and that was a serious thing, especially in the context of the Bible and in any context anyway but it was even more then because he wanted to have the birthright and He wanted to use the wrong thing to get the right thing.

He used questionable method to get a good gift from God.

So he cheated his brother, he cheated his father, and his brother Wanted to kill him and that would be a terrible thing especially for the mother so the The family that home was in a mess it there was confusion can you imagine you have just have 2 sons and 1 would like to kill the other 1 and that is in front of your eyes and that would be terrible.

I cannot even think if Paul would like to kill Moses, my mother's son.

But that was the situation and it was not an empty threat from Esau.

So the mother knew very well that there was a danger and I could imagine They had a meeting.

What shall we do now to solve this problem?

What shall we do to help us to get out of this mess?
