Eddie Ramirez, would you like to come down the front?

I haven't primed you for this, I'm sorry.

But I'm going to ask you a couple of questions, if that's OK.

Ramirez come and share with us from the United States.

I believe you work in Weimar, is that correct?

Can you share us a little bit about what you do currently?

We have an organic farm, an academy, and it has this spirit of evangelism that is contagious.

And I'm involved there with different projects, including taking care of all the research of the Institute and of Dr.

And it's a big blessing to be able to see what happens when you apply these principles.

Just this year, we have submitted for publication 28 articles and we believe that we should be encouraging this in different lifestyle centers so that we can prove what we are doing, how it's actually very effective.

So you're going to be speaking to us on Sunday, I believe, about lifestyle medicine, aren't you?

I have 20 years of experience of working in lifestyle centers, so I'll be sharing a little bit of the insight of what I have been learning for the past 20 years.

Can you tell us a bit about your journey?

What led you from, or where were you born, and how did you get to Weimar?

Well, I was actually going to talk about that.

Okay, we'll pause and you'll cover that then for us.

Now, I'm guessing you're quite passionate about what you do, but is there a particular area that really excites you about your work?

You know, this is actually the reason why I changed careers.

I originally studied computer science and I ended up becoming a physician.

After seeing what happens when you put lifestyle interventions in people, their life changes.

And not only that, you give them something even better as you introduce the spiritual factor and as the life is transformed from the inside out.

And it's interesting how as the research has come out, invitations have come in, Just this year alone I have been in 25 countries.

In fact this is my fourth time in Australia this year and this is something that has become mainline.

In the past lifestyle medicine was on the edge.

You were kind of weird if you were doing these things.

Presidents, CEOs, and different types of leaders are leading the charge into this change of lifestyle medicine.

Yes, I have a family and I do see him often.

And I have a beautiful wife and 3 daughters.

It is just pine trees around where we live.

Well, look, it's lovely to have you with us, Eddie.

Thank you so much for coming again to Australia for the fourth time this year.

But we look forward to being blessed by what you have to say.

Well, I want to start with a quick prayer that the Lord may lead us as we study his word this evening.

Heavenly Father, we're grateful for the way that you have led us, and we're so grateful that you have a plan for each 1 of our lives.

And as I speak this evening, I don't wanna glorify myself, I wanna praise you for the way that you have led and Lord may this serve as an experience so our faith can increase and we can get a better hold of you as we continue walking on this earth.

Well, this is my wife and my 3 daughters.

We say that we have daughters in 3 different flavors, 1 very blonde, 1 semi, and the other 1 more dark.

And I want to thank very much Amen for this invitation.

I also am very happy to see also Pastor Rankin here.

I appreciate his support here for this organization.

I've been participating in these meetings ever since I was a student.

Studying in a secular university, you know, you see this secular atmosphere and so forth, And for me, every AMEN conference, it was like drinking water so I could sustain myself for another year as I went back to that type of environment.

So I really appreciate this invitation and I always enjoy being at an Amen meeting.

And you know, even the way that my travel to here end up being, you can see how God is all the time making plans.

Sometimes we make plans, but God has even better plans.

I'm pretty good at finding very cheap tickets, and I happened to found a very cheap ticket from Moscow to Australia.

So I said, I'm gonna save some of those Australian dollars to the people here in Australia.

So I went ahead and bought that ticket $400.

Imagine that, round trip, Moscow to Australia.

And I made the mathematics and yeah, flying from America to Moscow was actually not that expensive, so I went ahead and booked my trip to Moscow and then the book here.

But then some changes happened in the airline, and they decided to refund the money.

So here I was stuck in Moscow, Russia, in the middle of the winter, you know, to make it worse.
