Fresh manna fell to the ground as a gift from God while the Israelites were in the wilderness.

It was fresh from the ovens of heaven, Baked by the master baker himself.

How the Israelites must have anticipated the taste and the smell of each morning's delivery.

Just like the Israelites, you too can now experience the taste and the smell of fresh manna.

Today, you'll be listening to Moise Retz-Sara, pastor of the Kalamazoo Filipino Company and Kalamazoo Seventh-Day Adventist Churches.

It is good to see each and every 1 of you.

And again, if this is your first time worshipping with us, we are so glad you have chosen to be here in the Lord's house with us today.

You know, as we mentioned during the announcement, is that God is coming very soon.

You might say, well, Pastor, how do you know that?

Read the last book in the Bible, revelation.

Read also Matthew 24-25, and you'll see that everything that the Bible says will happen, is happening and is intensifying.

But it's also a sign that things are going to get better.

Because when Jesus comes again, it will be the end of suffering, the end of pain.

We won't have to hold another funeral service.

We won't have to worry about what will come next when Jesus comes again.

If you want to know more about the signs of the times and the good news that is found in the Bible, the sure foundation of God, on October 8th, we're going to really dig deep into the books of Revelation and the books of Daniel.

And I want to tell you, the Bible is good news.

A lot of people are afraid to talk about those subjects because they think that God wants to scare you into heaven.

And when you see the sure word of God, and you know that it's true as we're going to see, you can say with confidence, This is my Lord, this is my Savior.

Well, let's have a word of prayer, because today we have another blessing as we talk about the reward of a faithful life.

Dear Heavenly Father, here we are gathered today in Your house.

And may we never be the same again, because we have found Jesus.

Have you ever thought about what a rewarding life would look like?

If you could have the best life possible, what are some of the dreams that you think about?

I know for more than 5 million young men, their dream is to maybe play sports.

They would love to play sports, and as a matter of fact, the average person in some of the leagues in America, they make $8 million a year.

That means there are some that make more and there are some that make less.

But the average is that if you play in a national league, you could make almost $8 million.

In this specific league, they generate about $8 billion as a league for playing a game.

Now they are in the apex of their strength and youth.

And you would think that this is the dream.

If you could be young, you could be rich, you could be famous, wow, you would be happy.

But in 2019, the commissioner of the NBA, in 2019, before all of these things happened, he said the majority of the players in the NBA are unhappy.

Now I'm sure there are some happy people in there.

And if you went through all the major leagues, they would say most of the players are unhappy.

They have to deal with all sorts of things.

We grow up thinking that if you make it to those things, you will have a happy life.

We think that if we study really hard, and education is very important, and work and do all of these different things, then we're going to have a rewarding life.

Now there's a reward in having a good work ethic, amen?

There's a reward in being honest, in doing your best, in striving to be a good citizen.

What does it mean to live a rewarding life?

God spent a lot of time in the Bible telling His children what a rewarding life looks like.

But today, living in 2021, we are still not getting the message of what it means to live a rewarding life.

You might say, Pastor, how do you know that?

Because we are filled with anxiety and fear to the point that we have lost our peace in our mind.

If we understood what it means to live a rewarding life in Jesus, we shall have peace and confidence.

You might say, Pastor, What are you talking about?

Well, without any further ado, let's go to the Word of God.

We're going to talk about a man who, it seemed, had everything that you and I, that the world tells us you should have.

If you're there, if you could say good amen.

It says, O Lord, You are the portion of my what, my friends?

We're going to spend a few minutes here studying what David is talking about here.

You got to remember the 1 who is writing this psalm, who is it?

Now David had everything you could ever imagine that you wanted in the world.

Well, David, if he told you his story, he could tell you that he slayed a giant.
