Every year, people come together in Times Square to celebrate the end of one year and the start of a new one. The ball dropping is always a thrilling moment, and the excitement is palpable as everyone sings and cheers. Auld lang syne fills the air as people hug and kiss. Prophecy should be seen in a similar spirit, but most conceive it as scary and confusing. While there may be difficult times ahead, those who have faith in Jesus can rest assured that they have nothing to fear. The second coming is actually something that should be approached with hope and anticipation. By studying the timeline of the longest-time prophecy in the Bible, we can look forward to knowing the signs that will lead to the ultimate happy ending: being reunited with our heavenly father and loved ones for eternity.
