What Happened After Peter Received the Holy Spirit?

I invite you to stand up right where you are.

And in this place, I invite you to make teams right where you are, but teams of 3 or 4 maximum.

So just look around where you are and make sure that that you're in teams of threes and fours.

Just organize yourselves that way, please.

Okay, look around you make sure no one's by themselves.

If you're still looking for somebody, say still looking.

The first thing will start out really easy and then we'll plunge into prayer and the word.

But just to connect with the people we're around, of all the places where your feet have taken you, what is 1 of the most interesting, unforgettable places that you've ever trekked or hiked or walked, okay?

So take all the time in the world as long as it's only 60 seconds or less.

If you can please thank your neighbor for sharing and invite them to join you in your seats there.

Where are some of the most amazing places you've taken a hike?

Norway, Oregon, of all these places that we have just shared, the most amazing trek of all is that you and I are invited to walk with Jesus in this very end of time.

And there's going to come a time when Jesus comes again, and every eye will see Him, and you and I will have the joy of being caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord forever.

You and I will be rushing around in heaven after meeting Jesus.

And I imagine that all of us are going to be rushing different directions to find that Esther, that Daniel, that whoever, Zacchaeus, you know, the person that you most love in scripture, right?

But the funny thing, there's got to be some divine humor.

All these people down through the ages will be running to you and saying, what was it like to walk with Jesus when the Holy Spirit was poured out in the greatest power, even more power than at Pentecost.

You know, if you read the second to the last chapter in Desire of Ages, you know, we're told, I'm just paraphrasing here, but we're told that what happened at Pentecost will be exceeded in these very last days.

So you're chosen, we're chosen to live now and to walk with Jesus because we're in a final era before Jesus comes.

I have no interest in time setting, I'm not into that at all, but I am interested in watching and seeing what God's doing.

And noticing that prophecies are being fulfilled.

And some people say, but Pastor Don, we have been saying for a long time that Jesus is going to come again.

We've been saying for a long time that it's soon.

I'll tell you, I don't know of any prophecy personally that would take a long time to fulfill at this point.

There are things that haven't happened yet, but all the things that are left can happen how fast?

Number 2 is freedoms are going down faster than I've ever seen in my whole life.

In those 60 years I've never seen such a loss in freedom globally.

So I travel in every continent, well except Antarctica.

I still don't get appointments there yet.

And then the third thing is, I see the Holy Spirit already being poured out, like I've never seen in my whole life in ministry.

So the last, I'd say, year and a half, 2 years, I've seen more of the Holy Spirit's action around this globe than all the rest of my life put together.

Because he is doing this and he's longing to do it here, right here on this campus.

He doesn't want us just to hear about mighty things somewhere else.

He wants us to be a part of this final story.

If you're hungry to see this small patch of time be something extraordinary, then I invite you to turn to your little team of threes and fours and say, could we pray just for a couple minutes for the Holy Spirit to be poured out with great power and that we would lose sight of each other and look up to Jesus and find strength and power in the written word.

Okay, the Holy Spirit's ready to do this, right?

So let's pray in teams of threes and fours now, just for a few moments.

Someone's praying, my Lord, come by here.

Did you bring your Bibles in 1 shape or form?

Very good, because you will absolutely need them.

So this is not a moment in this service just to listen to 1 man speak.

It's an opportunity for your small groups to be activated.

And I will enjoy, with the help of the Lord, teaching in between, but there's opportunities for your group to do something.

Some of you are looking at me like you're not so sure.

And I'm looking for between Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, I'm looking for any instance that you can find in your small groups for interaction between Jesus and Peter.

And the invitation is this, I'm gonna give you only about 5 minutes.

You will have to absolutely work together and go as fast as you can looking for the most powerful instances of some kind of interaction between Jesus and Peter.

So look up here for a moment before you start searching, because I'm gonna give you a few instructions.

Above the footprints, Please put as close as you can in order, but don't overthink it.

If you are blessed to be an OCD blessed person, don't worry if your brothers or sisters get something out of order.

But I'm inviting you as close as you can, starting from our first instance all the way up to, all the way up to the final scenes in the book of John.

Don't touch Acts, this is for this afternoon, okay?

But if you can go right up to here, anything you can put, like give a little heading, like Jesus and whatever, the temple or whatever, give a little note up here of something between Jesus and Peter.

Down below, other people can look at these and put down any revelation you have from the Word about what Jesus is like considering these stories between Jesus and Peter.

So in other words, let me give you an example.

If someone puts up here, Jesus, Peter, and the coin.
